Real mw3 gold & silver rewards
Speaking of rewards, there's a collaboration going on right now between Call of Duty and Pamp. If you go ahead and buy one of the 5, 000 exclusive gold bars, it's about 5 grams of gold that's going to cost you upwards of $427, or almost 500 bucks, and in exchange, you do get an in-game charm for Modern Warfare 3 and War Zone.
I'll have more information on screen so you guys can see, but there's also a piece of silver you can buy; it's about 1 ounce of silver for around $100. In which you'll also get an in-game. Silver Charm, for MW3 in war zone and people out there are pointing out that this is actually a pretty interesting markup considering an ounce of Sila right now is in like the 20s I would say it's about 24 bucks not almost 100 so it's weird how that's the markup we're seeing and then in exchange you do get an in-game charm it'll probably once again end up being one of the rarest in-game rewards we've ever seen for Call of Duty figured I'd bring that up real quickly but yeah just did not expect the collaboration, like this for Call of Duty and maybe even for Black Ops 2024, and Beyond we'll also get unique collabs like this that kind of have us scratching our heads considering the price you may have to pay for something as innocent as a charm or a calling card even a universal camo, that's a pretty big price to pay that I'm sure not many folks out there are going to get but considering the Rarity. I can't even imagine how the price hike is going to look over on eBay or any other site where people out there are going to sell codes for these.
New mimic mode & event unlock
Now with that, as you guys were aware, I was streaming yesterday with the launch of our new in-game update for MW3. The mimic Mayhem mode did go live for multiplayer, which is essentially the same hordo type of experience we've gotten over the last couple of weeks last week they refreshed it with a hellhound version and all it really did was just spawn in dogs and then this week's version just spawns in mimics so now we have regular zombies armored ones dogs and mimics spawning in within matches of hord Point things can get pretty damn hectic and it's a part of the final collection for The Horde hunt event so all you have to do is collect, 200 skulls that Dro from mimics the problem is when the mode first released, mimics weren't dropping skulls they were over in Zombies but it's hard to come across that many mimics in a game of MW U for war zone people out there just weren't finding them in loot chest nor did they spawn in the eradication contracts but for multiplayer, mimics just weren't dropping anything at all until a patch went out in which such Hammer confirmed that they've upped the drop rate of mimic skulls. And still even after that update not every mimic drops a skull so you're not going to be getting that many per game, 200 isn't that much considering we have two weeks left to finish this event but still it's a little frustrating that for the last component of this collection event it's going to take a little bit longer than usual to collect what we actually need and upon collecting, 200 skulls, for mimics and considering that you guys probably already finished the other parts of the event by having completed three total collections you'll get the free killshot operator skin it's a pretty cool free reward for a zombies themed event but as a reminder the first collection on the left in the iname tab doesn't actually count as a collection for whatever reason only the other three next to it do so for armored zombies hellhounds and mimics those are the three you have to complete to get this free operator skin but for actually individually, just collecting 200 mimic skulls even if you didn't unlock the other collections , you will get a cursed box reward which is what you probably thought it was just the skin for the Munitions field upgrade now funny enough you can't actually use field upgrades in mwz.
Cursed ammo box gameplay
There was a bug I think at launch letting you do so but that since has been patched you could still use fuel upgrades in multiplayer and war zone, so upon going ahead and equipping the cursed box skin you'll notice that nothing really happens right there was speculation going around that I thought was pretty cool to talk about which was that maybe you'd get free bonus tracers on your weapon for like one clip or whatnot if you use the cursed ammo box maybe it could have served as a new ammo mod for mwz, if we could somehow use this maybe it could even been a different ammo type that we could have used in all game modes and they would have had to balance it accordingly I'm sure, but there were some cool ideas about maybe death effects sounds but unfortunately it's only a skin for the Munitions box nothing that crazy the skin doesn't even cover the entire box like we saw with the reskin for it back during The Haunting in Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 that was a badass reskin that gave us a jump scare.
Sometimes when popping it, but with this skin. I think it's a cool idea to see different cosmetics for various pieces of equipment, field upgrades, and things other than weapons or operators.
