News - Warzone 2 Season 4 Content Roadmap, Gameplay & Download

This is DK Dynamite, and tonight we're going to be talking about all the content that we know is coming to season 4 of Modern Warfare 3 in War Zone. I think it's crazy that we're getting two major title updates in a single month alone. I believe this might have happened before, but we're ending the month of May with season 4 and then kickstarting season 4 reloaded.

I believe right towards the beginning of the fourth week of June we'll get specifics relatively soon, but there's been a lot of info that has been found for our fourth season. As usual, data miners have been posting over on Twitter, but as a big reminder, we have plenty of brand new article coverage going up over on {781} for those that want to keep up with all things Call of Duty. Now there's been some absolute craziness over the last couple of days when it comes to Black Ops 6 rumors and even some coverage.

I've been talking all about that in several previous articles, but I'm going to assume that with the start of season 4, there's going to be a lot of Black Ops Centric news dropping on the internet, so I'm thinking there's probably going to be some Black Ops 6 related drops within Modern Warfare 3.

All season 4 start times explained

This is according to the current in-game battle pass timer; season 4 should start on May 29th, which is a Wednesday, at 9:00 a.m. M pacific: 11:00 Central, which is 12:00 Eastern.

Season 4 file size & preload date

As far as the file size goes, let's take a look at the previous file sizes for seasons 1 through 3. They're roughly anywhere from 16 to 30 gigabytes; they're usually in that ballpark, but there are possibilities, like we saw with Modern Warfare 2, where a new season ends up shrinking the entire game, hence why the update might be like 50 gigabytes or whatnot, and then you have to download even more to shrink the entire game and allocate resources differently.

Theme, hawk soap & anticipated content

Through an event or a battle pass tier or some method, and maybe because of how much marketing they've been doing using this soap skin, that's also a sign that we're going to end up seeing this skin added at some point in season 4. Fingers crossed for that one just to finally get that out of the way, but there's also this blue monster bundle, which hasn't been announced yet but got leaked a little while back.

If this doesn't come out before the end of season 3 on May 29th, maybe it is being saved for some type of monster promotion.

Inside of season 4, we'll circle back to skins in just a couple of minutes , but as far as crossovers go, here are the collabs that have been leaked following the release of season 3. Reloaded data miners did find references to a collab with Fallout the Crow, an upcoming movie, and even Gundam, a game, and that game is on console and PC, so these are pretty interesting collabs.

Original & reimagined 6v6 maps

could see areas pulled from rebirth or Another War Zone Map could see areas pulled from campaign, and we could even start seeing some remasters from a game like Modern Warfare 3 (2011) or any game Slimer really wants to, they could even pull maps from advanced warfare and turn them into boots on the ground experiences.

What's been interesting about the last couple of seasons of Modern Warfare 3 is that multiplayer maps haven't really leaked out, which I think is a good thing. It really hypes up the marketing when a road map gets revealed when a blog post comes out, so we don't know much about multiplayer, but they did confirm at least 12 original 6v6. Maps before the start of season 1, and we've gotten just about 12 maps at this point, so I don't think that confirms we're not going to see any more maps going forward, but instead of seeing more original spaces like we did in season 3, we might start seeing some more reimaginings.

Upcoming killstreaks & modes

But as far as kill streaks and game modes go, we have a couple of rumors that have surfaced on Twitter.

First off, the IMs, which are returning from several previous Call of Duty titles, are going to be crazy to go up against. We also have what is being called the DNA bomb. Now, I'm guessing this is referring to the same DNA bomb we had in advance of the war. That was the nuke of that game. We already have a nuke inside of Modern Warfare 2, but it's the exact same tactical nuke that we saw in Modern Warfare 2 20202.

Maybe this is a new skin for that nuke or just a new popup overall; maybe it's a nuke where, upon calling it in, the game won't end and you can continue getting more of them. It's unclear what's going to be happening with this, but there's also something called a reaper drone. I'm not sure exactly what that could be, but I'll put some images on screen if I can find some references.

As far as game modes go not too many are known but like I speculated earlier and in my previous follow article we could be seeing a reskin of the Jugger MOS experience right I think that mode is pretty Universal where you don't have to bring that mode in for a crossover but considering you're all in a bunch of jug suits I'm sure they'll bring it back even regardless of a crossover soon but considering The Jug suits maybe they could bring in some of the Fallout power armor, and maybe you could use those inside of the mode and then you can also buy those skins through a bundle or something totally possible but according to leakers there's also a hoorde version of the escort mode escort just came out with season 3 Reloaded apparently a hoorde version of that is coming soon where one side plays as soldiers and the other side can play as zombies, this could be misinterpreted again it's very premature information but being able to play as a zombie in multiplayer. Might be an update that we see at some point here in season 4 sounds like a lot of fun, but you can even consider it something like zombie infected that we had in Black Ops 4 over in blackouts that could be coming to Modern Warfare 3.
