News - Warzone 2 Season 4 Weapons Gameplay. Kar98k, Blunderbuss & Spas 12 Akimbo
This is DK Dynamite, and today we're going to be talking about all the weapons coming to season 4 of Modern Warfare 3 and some new gameplay that surfaced, plus even more. We're just under two weeks away from the full reveal of season 4 on May 22nd. Obviously, we're expecting some Black Ops 4 marketing to also ramp up alongside.
That's just a theory right now, but things are about to get crazy in terms of Call of Duty over the next couple of weeks. Make sure you have notifications on, like I said, but we also have plenty of brand new article coverage going up over on {783} for those who want to stay up to date with all things.
Modern Warfare 3 and, of course, Black Ops 6.
All weapon prestige camo challenge
The first thing I want to mention is a brand new leak that just surfaced, which does claim that all upcoming Prestige weapon camos in seasons 4, 5, and 6 will have the same unlock requirement that the season 3 Prestige camo has, which is to get 150, 000 total weapon XP. On that weapon, now it was very clear by Sledgehammer, but in case you guys missed it.
I'll recap it for you guys in order to unlock Let's say the season 4 weapon prestige camo You have to have unlocked the season 3 camo on that same weapon. This camo could be unlocked on a per-weapon basis; it's not a case where you have to unlock the prestige camo on all weapons in a certain category or anything, but if you want to, let's say, unlock the season 4 weapon prestige camo for the batt 27, you have to have unlocked the season 3 Prestige camo, and hopefully that makes perfect sense, but hopefully this is a system that also comes back inside of Black Ops 6 because it adds extra replayability for those out there that already maxed out their weapons and got maybe the mastery camels on them already, but as a reminder, you don't have to get the mastery camel unlocked to unlock the prestige weapon camos, which just got added in now as As far as weapons go for season 4, quite a few of them have leaked out.
Stg-44
I want to jump into them individually, so first off, we have the Stg44. This is a classic weapon that we obviously saw a few years ago in Vanguard, another game that Sledgehammer developed. We saw it in World War II in 2017, and we've seen this weapon quite a bit. I think it was even in advanced Warfare through supply drops that got added very late, kind of as a teaser for World War II 2017, their game that they made right after that for those wondering why they chose this weapon of all weapons to add into MW3.
I just think that over the next couple of seasons they're going to have some fun adding in various pieces of content that they may have worked on previously that they may have had in their older titles. Just there for the sake of fun, not meant to reference anything, it doesn't mean that they're working on another World War II title, let's say their Call of Duty in 2027.
Just a fun callback and just a fun weapon that is likely going to be for season 4 unless it's being saved for season five and beyond. I highly doubt that because leakers have been pretty confident that it's coming in May.
The compound bow
Next up, we have the C-pom bow. This is a weapon that leaked out many, many months ago. I wanted to say back during season 1, but it kept getting pushed back. Apparently, information about this weapon, according to data miners, kept getting changed; they got moved from one season to another, and now it's looking like the set release date for this special weapon is going to be season 4.
It does feel like a weapon that we'd probably see in a classified battle pass sector, but maybe even a weekly challenge unlock. Who knows how we're going to end up getting this thing? We'll talk more about the Battle Pass in a separate article soon, but we're going to assume that this is the compound bow that we saw in the Cold War campaign, or a bow along those lines, or something like that.
We obviously already have a crossbow inside of MW3.
Spas 12 akimbo
Via carry forward because we got that last year in Modern Warfare 2 it's not going to be a crossbow, but literally a compound bow similar to even the sparrow that we had from what Black Ops 3 Black Ops 4, the sparrow was pretty cool to use, so expect something like that maybe as a marksman weapon or a special type of weapon at some point in MW3.
Next up, I have the Spaz 12. This is a shotgun that has appeared in several recent Call of Duty titles. I could think of it in Modern Warfare, in Black Ops Cold War. This shotgun is pretty fun to use. I'm excited to see how it goes up against regular people in mp or war zone and how it works pack-a-punched over in zombies.
I'm really excited about it, but according to leakers, you are going to be able to use a Kimbo on the Spaz 12, so that attachment will be compatible with this shotgun. That sounds pretty scary. I mean, we just got the Lockwood amps not too long ago, so I'm curious how these spaz a Kimbo is going to work against, let's say, the Lockwood amps, probably something similar, if not even better, probably better because you don't have to reload it after a single shot of each weapon in each hand, so let's see how the spaz is going to go up against everything else that's in the game. We haven't gotten too many DLC shotguns really, so I'm excited to see how this one holds up, but next up we have the weapon that you guys have all been waiting for the car 98k.
Kar98k footage!
Funny enough, right when season 3 got revealed and they announced Rebirth Island was returning, there were so many folks out there saying, Where's the Kar98?
Where's the car? That was just the weapon that people were using back during rebirth in the war zone. One person was hitting clips with it. It's a classic weapon; there was one in Modern Warfare 19, and there was a different version of it. I believe, over in Vanguard, so people out there have been asking which version of the car is going to come back.
I'm going to assume it's more faithful to the Modern Warfare one. I doubt it's going to be something like Vanguard, which people claim was kind of a peashooter or just hit markers. I don't think they'll butcher it, especially with how successful MW3 was in the war zone. Over the past couple months, they've been very good at listening to communication around the community, so why ruin something as special as the car?
But gameplay also went ahead and surfaced of the model for this weapon being force-loaded into people's games, so the hackers have revealed what the car looks like; it's unclear, how it performs, and how it plays out, but I just doubt it'll be inferior to any previous version of this sniper, and I'm betting it'll at least be within the top two or three snipers of Modern Warfare 3 in War Zone right now.
