News - The Biggest Season Launch Cod. Warzone 2 S1 Warzone, Playlists, More. Cod Updates With Tridzo
We just got the season 1 update a couple days ago, and surprisingly, that was just the tip of the iceberg. There's even more content that is scheduled throughout the entire update, such as a brand new holiday event bringing in new operators with challenges and rewards, new map updates, and a brand new limited-time mode called Vortex that's mashing together multiplayer and zombies, giving you the opportunity to use a ray gun against other players.
You also can't forget about the major store updates that are going to be bringing in crossover operators from Dune Part 2 as well as the boys with their own events and challenges, and we're going to discuss all that here in today's article so that way you know exactly how big the season 1 update really is.
The first thing I want to show you guys is the brand new Yix. Championship Quest: By getting yourself five wins in a row, you will be given the opportunity to complete the nuke championship. Quest, and if you can get it done, you will be receiving this brand new animated operator skin. As a reward, the good news is that if you're like me and you can't get those five wins in a row, if there's someone in your lobby that's doing that new quest, you can actually head on over there, eliminate them, take their contract track from them, complete it yourself, and you'll also be able to get the rewards as well.
You can also expect to see some other rewards added here. We typically see some animated weapon blueprints. There might be some calling card stickers, maybe some camos; we're not entirely sure what exactly is going to be included other than this animated operator skin. Just for this skin alone, I definitely think that the new Quest is worth the grind, and also, just as a reminder, we did receive a brand new playlist update today for Battle Royale; we got USIC.
Solos, duos, trios, and quads for Resurgence YIC Stand POI is in rotation, and Quads V and Asika Island are back in the rotation as solos. Duos and trios, you also have Plunder and yours extand quads, and then we also have the playlist update for the week of December 14th. There is not much change other than the resurgence in Y Exan; instead of quads, it is now in trios.
Apparently, War Zone is also the number one way to farm your armor unlocks, so if you are trying to unlock some weapons aftermarket, use parts attachments. Whatever it may be, if you play War Zone, you actually get them a lot faster than if you were to do it in regular multiplayer, where you would actually need to complete daily challenges.
Or get wins in the war zone. If you play one match, you can get yourself like 3 to 5. We're not exactly sure how it tracks as of right now, but all you have to do is go in there, play some games, and you're going to find out that you've already completed most of the armory unlocks. If you do want to prioritize this and take advantage of it, make sure to add to the queue the items that you want first, so that way you can unlock them and then you can quickly update them.
Add other ones to the queue, and once you unlock all of them, you can continuously keep playing this until you unlock everything. And this is as of right now: the fastest way to complete all the armor unlocks works so well, and many people are thinking that it might actually be unintentional. It might be a glitch, so I am not entirely sure, but take advantage of that anyway.
Let's go ahead and talk about some future content that's going to be coming in. So there's a brand new LTM called Vortex. What this is this free-for-all mode where one player will spawn in with the zombie weapon, which is going to be the ray gun, and in this free-for-all mode, whoever eliminates the person with the ray gun will become the new owner, and they will get to use it up until they get eliminated and then lose it once again.
But what makes this mode really interesting is the fact that they're actually changing the maps for it, so there's going to be a new map called Satan's Quarry. There's also going to be sparse, and then there's going to be taus, which is going to be an updated rust on this photo. As you can see in the background, there is green smoke.
The sky boox is completely different, and it looks more zombified; it looks like the ether is involved, and it looks like that new zone that we have in zombies. It's going to be the same way with Quarry as well as with this new rust update. So the fact that they're changing up and altering these maps for just this limited time mode is super exciting, and we're going to be getting this sometime in the next few weeks, going on to the next topic that we have.
This is actually the big, major update that we're going to be getting, and this has to do with the holiday event that is scheduled for December 20th, which is just under 2 weeks away. We are going to be receiving the brand new CODM. Miss Update is known as Santa Sligh Ground. In this update, you can expect some massive content being dropped for multiplayer and War Zone multiplayer, side of things, we're getting two brand new maps, one of which is going to be the high-rise map being adjusted, and a change to have a holiday version known as Hangover.
The second one is going to be the return of shipments that we saw in Modern Warfare 2. We also got two brand new modes, such as Snowball gunfight, which well as holiday infected being added to the playlist. The event tab will also be updated with brand new challenges and rewards for completing them, fitting and themed around the holiday update, as well as these brand new playlists that they're going to add.
Reward Zone, you're going to see similar changes with the entire Yix stand map getting a holiday update with snow covering it, the train getting an update as well to fit the holiday theme, and Undead Juggernaut, zombie Santa Boss is also going to be available for you to fight on the map. The good news is that he's not just going to randomly spawn and be as bad as it was with Krampus.
But this time around, you're going to have the opportunity to do a challenge, which is sort of like capturing an objective. There's going to be trees spread around the map you head on, and you try to capture them and defend them from other players. If you can manage to do that, a key will spawn, giving you the opportunity to teleport into a brand new location and fight him.
If you are able to do that, you will be granted a bunch of loot to help you win your war zone match as well as a cosmetic reward for defeating him. There will also be modes such as Slay Rider Resurgence being added, but this is a major update that's going to happen in just under 2 weeks from now, and not only that, there's also going to be other crossover updates that we're expecting to see.
