Modern Warfare 3 zombie season 2 is coming to us next week on February 7, 2024, and today I'm going to be going over all of the official and leaked information pertaining to this season for Modern Warfare Zombies, including what allegedly is the entire mission for season 2. We'll even be going over some Black Ops Gulf War leaks, some leaked Wonder Weapons, a potential new leaked map, and the idea that Treyarch is no longer working on Modern Warfare 3 zombies.

Treyarch moves on from mwz
Let's start off with the biggest thing that's surrounding Modern Warfare zombies, and it is something that I'm Alex posts over on Twitter, and for those of you guys who don't know He's a reputable leaker around the community; he's leaked multiple things in the past, including even a Walking Dead event coming to Modern Warfare all the way back in November, so Alex knows what he's doing when it comes to going through the game files and finding things and getting some information, but he says it's probably already known, but Treyarch has little to no involvement in Modern Warfare zombies anymore.
The focus has shifted to Cod 2024, and that, to be honest, guys, is fully expected. Triarch has a lot on their plate; they have four full years to develop Black Ops Gold War zombies, but it has to be an amazing Call of Duty that shatters expectations. Call of Duty is desperately in need of a fantastic round-based game and, of course, a great and vibrant multiplayer experience as well, in order to do that.
Activision gave Treyarch a whole extra year to work on the mode, and of course, that was probably partially due to the fact that Treyarch assisted in some ways on all of the other games that have come out since Black Ops Cold War, but all in all. Treyarch is hard at work on Black Ops Go War zombies and the alleged, more than likely.
The Black Ops 2 sequel is coming in 2025. And that is exactly why I believe this will be the biggest update and the last and final. Huge update for Modern Warfare zombies. Now I know it sounds insane and actually really sad to hear something like that regardless of whether you like the game or not, but if you consider that Treyarch has been pretty much driving this mode from the beginning, maybe partially due to the fact that yes, they wanted to create a great mode, but also because they wanted to or as good of a mode as they could, and they also wanted to drive traffic to the game considering it was a Treyarch.
Zombies mode, and I do think they did an overall solid job all around at going for what they were trying to do, but now, like I said. Troy Arch has bigger fish to fry and they have to move on, so what better to do than move on to your next Call of Duty and leave a lasting, huge impression? On Modern Warfare zombies, now I don't believe that they're going to officially, announce that Treyarch is no longer working on Modern Warfare Zombies cuz I do believe that to some capacity they still could stick their nose back into the game if need be but nowhere as near to the level as it was on launch, so that is just one reason why I believe that Modern Warfare zombie sees season 2 will be the biggest, and not just to this point but the biggest overall update for Modern Warfare Zombies as far and then after I think the team that is still responsible for Modern Warfare Zombies will be responsible for some smaller scale editions like perks Wonder Weapons which we're going to talk about in just a second and some stuff to that capacity.
Which is fair; they gave the mode a good shot; they did a decent job with it, but it's time to work on the big guns with Black Ops Go 4 zombies. Next up, we'll just touch on it briefly, coming to season 2 with Modern Warfare Zombies, as I stated a couple of times within.
Fortunes keep & walking dead event
This article is already going to be a Walking Dead event. Now. I'm somebody who hasn't watched The Walking Dead, so I could care less about any of the operators that are going to be coming to the game, but if you guys are interested, probably both within the battle pass and within the store for Modern Warfare, we will be getting some of the characters from The Walking Dead purchasable and playable not only within multiplayer but also within zombies.
Obviously, so that's pretty cool, but you know that I can't stand the fact that they charge outrageous prices for these operators, so I wanted to acknowledge that was happening, but we're not going to talk about it any further. During one of these little announcement articles that they did, where there was no developer talk or anything, it was just a quick little slideshow.
I will probably already be playing it on screen. They put up an image where it says hero officer, returns investigate, mysterious. Zombies nest in Fortune Keep, and for those of you who don't know. Fortune Keep was a war zone map quite a bit ago, and they're now bringing it back to the war zone, which we can now only assume, and this is a big assumption that it will be coming to zombies, and our assumptions, conspiracy theories, if you will, are now slightly more confirmed.
By the fact that they flashed this piece of newspaper, saying that there's a zombie nest in Fortune's keepy, this could be for some kind of zombie-themed Easter egg within War Zone. They've done stuff to that capacity already; they've even done some kind of ball fight in War Zone before that was only for War Zone and not for zombies, but considering that Modern Warfare Zombies is a thing that we're having this Walking Dead event with season 2, there is a zombie mode.
I think that there's a good chance that we do get Fortune Keep within Modern Warfare Zombies because the game is in desperate need of something fresh, and within season 1, when they added the dark ether, that was fantastic and a fresh and amazing addition. I still like looking at the dark ether area, but either way I digress, the fact of the matter is that there's a Walking Dead event and that there is allegedly going to be a mysterious zombie nest within Fortun's keep, whether or not that's within the war zone or within zombies, or both left to wait and see, but I would personally expect it to also be within zombies, but don't again, don't get your expectations up too much because, as I said, they've done zombie-themed stuff exclusively.
