Welcome back to a brand new article. In this one, we're going to go over and talk about the new Vortex LTM event that is set to arrive in early January of 2024. This will be the last event that we get before the season 1 reloaded update goes live. Triple xp event & gift pack reward
Below, yesterday we talked about how the double XP event was disabled, but it actually ended up getting re-enabled, and the good news is it's not only for the weekend now, but Slammers tweeted out saying double player weapon and battle pass XP are now active in MW3, and war zone until Thursday at 10:00 a.
M pacific Standard Time is giving you almost an entire week rather than just the original weekend that I guess they had planned, so that is some good news right there. As a quick reminder, there is also a free gift pack that you can get in the store as of right now. This is called the Trio Trouble Emblem.
Usually with gift packs, they come into the store for a couple of days and then get rotated out and replaced with something else, so this is the new gift pack we have to make sure to claim before it goes away. I know you guys are enjoying the current holiday update that we have going on in Modern Warfare 3 right now, but after this event ends, this is going to be ending on January 3rd.
The next massive new year event
There will be another big event that will take its place, and it will replace it all the way up until season 1 reloaded, which is going to be on January 17th, so basically we are getting backtack events, and what's crazy is that this event might actually be even bigger than the holiday one because if you take a look at the holiday event right now, there's around seven rewards that you can unlock, and there are some limited time modes.
I did a brand new playlist update, and they updated two of the maps, but what if I told you this event is going to update three of the maps, and instead of seven rewards, you're actually going to be able to get 15 different rewards? And not to mention, there's also going to be some operator skins they're going to be rotating into the store, as well as other cosmetics and content that you can expect to see with this brand new event.
Vortex event new maps showcase
Cod put this in their blog post; they said new year, new event, face the vortex. Enter the flames of the vortex to fight for cataclysmic rewards. In this event, players will progress through the 15 available rewards by playing in the Vortex-themed Maps tetanus. Satan's Quarry, as well as Spard, provided a photo of what Satan's Quarry is going to look like—it's just completely on fire.
Those cubes that we have are just lit with magma. I think they did an even better job on these maps than what they did with the holiday versions of Hangover and Ship. Miss, we have Tetanus; this is going to be the Rust remix version. They have different angles and photos showcased here, but this is the good old rust that we have.
The time of day is different; it has like these lights that are lit up in green, like LED lights going on; it sort of looks like a zombify. The type of map that we have says that in this otherworldly version of Rust, operators find themselves in an otherworldly desert during a planetary storm, and strips of neon green light attached to the infrastructure enhance the sci-fi feel of the fight.
The second map that we have is Satan's Quarry, which we saw in an earlier photo. It says to enter this pit of fire and brimstone only if you dare. Huge chains piercing the skies signal a hellish destination in which only the bold stand a chance of victory. And then we have the third map, which is going to be called Spard, which is, you know, a remixed version of Scrapyard.
It says the iconic Boneyard shows signs of fungal infestation, as glowing blue Flora spreads throughout the map dispensed by The Towering to stools surrounding the borders, and this is what it looks like from the different photos and angles that they have provided of this map, and then they mentioned the vortex event begins on January 3rd and ends on January 17th.
So I am very surprised at how much work they put into recreating and updating these maps, making them look the way they do, and only giving them to us for 2 weeks. That's a little bit surprising. I definitely think this event may come back in the future. At least, I hope it does during the life cycle of MW3.
Maybe come in with a different rotation of rewards and cosmetics, but keep the same maps. Maybe even add one or two more additional maps and turn this into a big type of playlist because I think this will be very popular, but You're probably wondering: Why are these maps getting added, and what are they getting added for?.
Vortex ltm mode & playlist explained
There's going to be a brand new limited-time mode called Vortex, which is what this event is based off of, and this mode is going to be free-for-all.
Which one person will spawn with the ray gun? They will run around and be able to eliminate and on-shot people with this ray gun, and the longer you survive, the longer you get to keep the ray gun, but once you are eliminated by a different player, that other player will also be able to get the ray gun themselves.
The point is that if you have that Ray Gun, you have a huge advantage in winning the game, which is pretty much the mode. Explain So we talked about the maps; we talked about the mode that's going to be in its own playlist; and then we're going to talk about the event and the rewards that you're going to be able to get.
15 vortex event rewards
As they mentioned in the blog post, there will be 15 different rewards that you're going to be able to unlock. Just from the amount of rewards, you can automatically unlock them, and it's safe to assume that there will not be challenges that you will need to do. This will be in a way sort of like the XP events that we saw, where as long as you play within this playlist and you gain XP, you're probably going to end up being able to unlock everything, so all you have to do is jump into these modes, enjoy yourself, and as you rank up and gain XP, you will unlock these different types of cosmetics and rewards.
If there were challenges that you needed to complete, they would have already been leaked along with the code. Now, if it is changed and there are actual challenges that appear. I will show you guys all the challenges that you'll need to complete and give you guys a full guide on how to complete them in terms of the different rewards that you're going to be able to get.
