News - Ghost T/v Camo Buff Details & More Changes/fixes Warzone 2
I don't play War Zone. I'm not interested in War Zone, so I don't cover War Zone at all on this channel. This is purely for the multiplayer update.
Miscellaneous fixes & adjustments
And the first thing they mention here is they address an issue experienced by some players that caused items previously unlocked to become unavailable to equip and for me I'm not entirely sure which items this is referring to I thought for instance this would include something like with the ram 7 for instance you can rank that all the way up to max level but before this patch two of those barrels were still locked you can't use them you can't even unlock them at all it seems, and I thought that's what they were referring to with this section of the patch notes, however that doesn't appear to be the case so perhaps this is just covering a more isolated bug that I personally haven't run into but you may notice some things are unlocked now that weren't previously.
Additionally, with the Ram 7, they actually added a brand new barrel to this. This is a Speedway V5 short barrel, and here are the advanced stats on that, just in case you guys are curious. It's going to harm your damage range as well as your bullet velocity and aim-down sight speed, but you do get improved recoil as well as sprint-out time when using this.
After that, they fixed an issue with the breacher drone where it was inflicting more explosive dam damage to players than intended, at least in some scenarios, so that shouldn't be happening anymore and it should be a lot more consistent. Additionally, they fixed a bunch of issues with various forms of customization.
None of these will actually impact the gameplay as far as I'm aware, but like the Crimson Fate and Carbon Fate laser attachment skins, they will no longer appear as default skins when you equip them to shotguns, so there are just little bugs like that where certain things may be displaying slightly differently than intended.
Next up for the war game mode, the scoreboard will now properly display kills because, pre-patch, this just wasn't working properly at all; it would just show zero all the time, so that's nice to see they got on top of that one. Additionally, with conversion kits, many people were experiencing a situation where they had met all the requirements for that kit, yet it was still showing as locked.
That should be fixed for you now, and then there were a few extra fixes in certain menus where if you hovered over something, it would kick you back to the main menu or something. They've just taken care of a few of those who are now moving on to the progression side of things, one of the most frustrating challenges before this update.
This was the type of challenge that required you to destroy enemy equipment since this would only really apply to things like bouncing betties and claymores, and it wouldn't apply to things like field upgrades, like the ACs. Med boxes, or Munitions boxes, any of those sorts of things destroying those didn't count toward this challenge when it really should, at least in my eyes, and this is incredibly frustrating because depending on the types of lobbies you play in, you may never see Claymores or betties.
I think at this point I've still only run into, like, one or two Claymores throughout the entire life cycle of this game so far, as well as maybe a Betty or two. But now, after these updates, all of the placeable field upgrades will count toward this challenge. And it's kind of funny that they're doing that as well next up on the war map that we currently have operation spearhead, they eliminated an outof match exploit where people were able to get onto an unintended rooftop, and they also eliminated an out of map exploit, to get underneath the map so hopefully all of those have been taken care of now this is one of the big reasons I've been avoiding the war game mode is I've seen so many clips of people just under the map or on top of an unintended rooftop and that's obviously not very enjoyable to play against after that they address an issue in Search and Destroy where there were some unintended XP rates for various match events, they also increased the team deathmatch and kill confirmed score limits on certain playlists so with 12 V12 for instance Net's now bumped up to 150 with 10 V10 it's 125. And also on these small maps, it's going to be 125 as well.
Private match training course
After that, with private matches, they updated the CDL rule set so you can actually just activate the current CDL rule set in custom games, and on top of that, they added a training course to private matches as well. This is what it looks like, and with that, that pretty much wraps it up for all of the miscellaneous things that changed with this update.
Nothing too major, but lots of little steps in the right direction.
Ghost t/v camo buff details
For sure, now let's talk about that ghost TV camo buff. So this is specifically referring to the Gear, not the Assassin vest, and what they've done with this is they just made it a lot more forgiving when you stopped moving previously the moment your movement speed dipped below the threshold, which is 9 m/s.
The ghost perk would immediately disable, so that means if you wanted to just stop for a reload or stop on a piece of cover even for just 1 second, your perk would no longer be working for you and you'd be potentially exposed to enemy UAV sweeps. What they've done now with this update is that players can now be stationary for 2 seconds before their ghost perk deactivates.
So it's a lot more forgiving and does give you that chance to stop, get a reload, and then just get back in the fight and keep moving, and that part of it is excellent and basically what I was asking for, or at least part of what I was asking for. I am going to be a little bit nitpicky here, but I want to show off the potential issue with this.
My issue with this buff.
The second part that I wanted to see didn't change with this update. I also wanted it to be a little bit less forgiving when it comes to initially activating the ghost perk, and the reason behind this is what you're seeing right here.
Now all you have to do with this ghost perk—you don't even need the Assassin's vest—is be crouched in a corner and just wiggle yourself, even barely moving back and forth, and your ghost perk will stay active 100% of the time. I mean, even with this setup. I'm using an LMG with attachments that are purposely designed to slow down my Crouch movement speed, so this is a really slow Crouch movement speed, and yet I can still abuse this really easily.
It's going to be even easier with any other gun in the game, and this essentially defeats the purpose of having a ghost perk that only works while moving. Don't get me wrong. The prepatch version of Ghost. I think, was way too unforgiving with movement, and I'm definitely glad they added a little bit more forgiveness on that end of things, but like I said.
