Sup folks, it's R. Poton the third back with another cod zombie article. Today I've got everything you need to know about Mega Abominations Megas. In short, as always, it is solo-friendly and has chapters integrated into the article. Below in the description for easy navigation, this guy will cover everything you can think of in regards to Megas' background attacks, easiest weapons, and methods to defeat them. How to complete Act 3's Pack 3 Mission: Most Firepower, and how to get the calling card pin, Hold.

Overview

Overview

Mega Abominations are a variation of Cold War Zombies standard Abomination, a strong, longer, nastier version with more health, more aggression, and a rocking sack of Nest crawlers. This enemy is a real character; the Abomination and Mega seem like cranky cousins of the Mara introduced in Black Ops 3.

All three have three heads that are actually mouths and blink like eyes. Kind of a mind-freak, isn't it? Modern Warfare 3's version works much like the others, killing all three heads. Mega dies: you can do damage when the mouths aren't open but do critical damage when firing into an open mouth.

The naturally spawning Mega Abominations spawn randomly in the seven spots on screen, all in large areas in the Red Zone. These spawned megas can despawn and respawn again with full health if you move too far away; sometimes they just disappear forever at that spot.

T3 spawn tricks

There are a few tricks for each spot, and I'll show you.

Taking HVT contracts in the Red Zone can also spawn megas; they have a bit more health than the naturally spawning megas, just like the mini boss. Hvts, like regular Hvts, seem to have a radius; they can move from their initial spawn before they sprint back to the starting point. This can cause some health problems, but with Megas, when the three heads are gone, regardless of health, it explodes and the heads will not grow.

Attacks & counters

Attacks & counters

charge and what I like to call Berserk, mode They also do a war cry of sorts, quite the characters. Indeed, nine times out of 10, the first or second attack will be the laser, which is terrifying. That's what we want when the Mega shoots its lasers. All remaining mice will be open. This is the easiest time to take out a head.

The heads are also exposed when it roars to Valhalla for strength. When it charges, you'll see them rev up and aim, and then it will charge in a straight line at wherever you're at when it starts moving. If it hits you, it will stun you, hindering your run and general movement. You can avoid this by running in a straight line perpendicular to him, and then we have berserk mode.

This is what we want to avoid. The Mega does quick charges, followed by a sprint straight at you for another charge. This can go in a loop forever if you don't interrupt it. You can interrupt it by maneuvering to places they can't reach, zipping up to a roof, mantling things they need to move around, or getting into the water.

They all work. When you interrupt this attack, the next attack will often be the laser attack, exposing a mouth for deletion.

How to kill them

How to kill them

The meta for killing megas fast right now is the tier pistols. The build on screen is what I use: the Kimbo rear grip snakes shot ammo with a hip fire laser and a barrel for added range and a fire rate-increasing trigger action.

This gun is easily the fastest way to take off a mouth; it will take off one mouth without reloading pack three in Gray P one with Deadshot and purple or better works too. Pack three in legendary, and it takes one bullet from each gun, and it melts every other boss too. And one-shot zombie, with each gun allowing you to cover your rule loads with the other.

The meta may change, so stay tuned to your favorite Discord YouTube channel or subreddit to keep on top of patches with Nerfs Buffs and new weapon releases. If you have an insured slot available, bring in the fastest gun for killing megas. Tools and Pap crystals are optional, but if you don't bring in any, you will need to spend most of the match grinding contracts to get triple-packed and at least purple rarity.

Alternately, if you don't have any insured weapons off-cooled down, you can get an orange wall by just making it something that has good range and damage output. Personally, I like both the AR and LMG from the Hoger family. Any of the LMGs are fine; in fact, MCW and the SVA 545 are also good. If you go this route and are doing the Act 3 mission Most Firepower, I recommend also buying a jug suit.

abombination

If you have the loot, you can quickly and easily take most of Mega's health with this and just finish them off with your Pack 3 weapon. For secondary, I recommend fists if your primary is heavy and has bad mobility, and if you're rocking a primary with good mobility. The best secondary is the scorcher, a weapon you can build using this using this schematic gotten by defeating the red worm if you need help with that check out the guide on screen now you can also find these in the locked rooms of Al bagger Fortress inside the dark ether more info on that in this guide, the scorcher is very nice to have as with some practice you can easily interrupt the berserk attack with the jump function when Out Of Reach the Abomination immediately starts spamming the laser attack this allows you to just go to town on a mouth with your primer, you can also more easily get up to a vantage point with some cover This is vital when you don't have access to a meta build; just be sure to pack it at least once if possible, as it takes the amount of time it takes to lift off from 4 seconds to 2 seconds.

Another good option with a light primary is a crowd control weapon. A lot of the time, with the tears, it feels like the hardest part is dealing with the other enemies while fighting the mega and avoiding its berserk charges, so the usual works well. Rgl nade Launcher Wonder WF The 680 Lockwood melts everything fast, so it's best to have a full clip on the primary for when the mega goes Cyclops again, so a secondary to deal with the zoms and mini bosses helps.

abomination

Too Another good primary weapon option is the VR11. One-shots the mouse when triple packed, especially if you're going into the dark ether, as it will also repair the ACV if packed. Mobility is great, which allows you to pair it with a crowd-control weapon. The handling is a bit clunky though, so be careful and aim well, speaking of crowd control, if you don't have a waer and rgl.

The ether blade will do in a pinch, paired with as many decoys as you can hold. This can suffice fine, and without any more money towards the second path, lethals need a mention here as well. If you throw a grenade, seex thermite, or C4 into an open mouth, the Abomination will swallow it, dealing extra damage and many times If the health is low enough to take out AE, they will swallow monkeys and Casmir, but it's kind of a waste as they don't do much damage to it or the zombies around them.
