If they're up close, obviously you want to have dynamic because you can snap on them, which is why professional players use it. They all have great reaction time and great game awareness, so they're always looking at their peripherals to see if there's someone hopping out, someone sitting in a corner, or something like that.

They need to be ready to snap on them quickly that's why you need Dynamic: if you're playing War Zone and you're one of those people who likes to just lock down a certain area and wait for the storm to push you out, you'll likely benefit more from using Standard, whereas if you're like me and you like running around the map and going for a lot of kills, whether it be a long range, medium range, or close range, you're going to want to use Dynamic because, just like it says, it's a dynamic curve that's useful in multiple different scenarios.

Think about the type of player you are and the type of fights that you normally take, whether it's multiplayer or war zone. If you usually play at a distance, you're probably going to benefit from standard; if you like to hold head glitches and just watch different lanes, you're probably going to benefit from standard; but for the dynamic players, it's the guys who like to run the submachine guns or who like to run guns and get into the enemy spawn or push for a lot of kills in the war zone.

If you like linear, then use linear. But I can't think of any benefits to it aside from the fact that there is no variable, so you are going to always have that kind of trust with it, but I personally just don't aim anywhere near as well with linear. You guys are about to see uncut footage of me using all three different aim types, and you're going to see it's pretty obvious standard; my aim was pretty dang Snappy.

Linear My aim was pretty good, but it was clearly nowhere near as good as it was with standard or dynamic shots, and then my dynamic shots. I was clearly my most accurate while using Dynamic; there's really no question about it, although Standard was pretty close, which is why I came to the conclusion that Standard and Dynamic are the two to choose from, and it just depends on the play style from there on.

So if you or anyone you know has been having trouble aiming and you're wondering what's wrong, you have all the right settings. Maybe you don't. Maybe this is what you have messed up because someone in a settings article said to use dynamic, or use linear, or something like that.
