News - All Warzone 2i Vests, Perks, Streaks, More Revealed

I'd like to see some more combinations open up, and another thing that caught my eye here is that there isn't going to be any perk in the game that allows you to heal faster, like ICU from Call of Duty Ghosts or Quick Fix from Modern Warfare 2, where when you get a kill, it will trigger your healing immediately.

And honestly, I'm a bit disappointed to hear that. I was really hoping there would be some form of perk, whether that's attached to a vest or one of the pieces of gear, for instance, that would allow you to improve your healing time. Now we will have battle rage in the equipment section, which we're going to get into in a little bit, but I was hoping for a perk rather than a piece of equipment that would allow you to do this.

Tactical equipment

Tactical equipment

In either case, let's move on to the equipment in the game, and we'll start this off with the tactical equipment.

There's honestly no big surprises here; we've got the stun grenade battle rage smoke grenades scatter mine, which you had access to in the beta, the decoy grenades coming back from Modern Warfare 2, as well as the flash grenade. Then, on top of that, we've got quite a few pieces of equipment. Here we have a snapshot grenade.

The shock stick is coming back from Modern Warfare 2, the stem, which is interesting to see because I kind of thought battle rage was going to replace the stem, but apparently not. I am curious to see if this is going to work like Black Ops Cold War, where it auto-regenerates itself, or if you just get like one or two stems per life and that's it, then there's an experimental gas, but that one is for Zombies mode only, and that's not going to be in multiplayer.

And then finally, we have the EMD grenade, which we had access to in the beta, so again, no big surprise there.

Lethal equipment

Now let's move on to the lethal pieces of equipment. And with this on the first screen, at least we've got the frag, the Claymore, the throwing knife, thermite, thermobaric grenade, and proximity mine.

Then the drill charge comes back. I'm happy to see that's officially confirmed at this point: the seex, the C4. Molotov Cocktail is once again only going to be in zombies, so unfortunately no molotov in multiplayer, or maybe fortunately, depending on who you ask, then we also have the throwing stars returning from Modern Warfare 2 and then finally the breacher Drone, which a lot of people were having fun with in the beta.

Field upgrades

Field upgrades

After that, we've got a ton of field upgrades, most of which are just returning from Modern Warfare 2, but we saw a few new ones, and we already played with them in the beta. We've got the Munitions box, the ACs, which will capture objectives for you, like we saw in the beta with the Tactical cameras coming back.

Deployable cover Recon drone heartbeat sensor Medbox, inflatable decoy dead silence, and it looks like the Modern Warfare 2 version of dead silence. It's probably going to beep and have an animation to pull out. We've got load-out drop portable radar C Scrambler tactical insertion, trophy system smoke airdrop, suppression mine, and finally anti-armor rounds.

So again, nothing too crazy or surprising when it comes to all these field upgrades; it's pretty much what you'd expect.

Streaks

And then finally, for today's article. I wanted to cover all of the streaks that we have access to as well in Modern Warfare 3, and I believe this is the largest streak count by far that we've ever seen at the launch of a Call of Duty game.

There are 23 streaks in total, and most of these we have seen in the past. You can see I included the names of several of those roughly where they would belong in the list there, so like the bomb drone precision air strike cruise missile SA and Chopper Gunner, those are also in the game. There's just no images here, and I'm not going to read out every single one of these just because there's so many and you guys can read it for yourself.

But there are a lot of streaks to choose from. I'm just hoping there's going to be some reasonably powerful streaks this time around, because I feel like, especially in many recent Call of Duty games, they really like to keep the streaks tone back compared to back in the day when you could really go off with them.

At least one thing's for sure: the original Modern Warfare 2 maps are the ones that we're going to have access to at the beginning of Modern Warfare 3. Most of them are very good for aerial streaks; there's not a ton of overhead cover, and therefore Chopper Gunners and Gunships should hopefully be very powerful, at least on most of the launch maps.

No specialist?

No specialist?

There's just one last thing that I wanted to mention here that unfortunately wasn't shared, and therefore it's likely not going to be there at launch.

This is a specialist where you're able to earn perks instead of killstreak rewards as you go on a streak in the same life. I was really hoping they'd include that, like a vest, for instance; it would limit you in some other way and prevent you from getting streaks but allow you to get more perks in the same life, and it's just really unfortunate that it appears we won't be seeing this at launch, especially because the original Modern Warfare 3 is the Call of Duty game that introduced Specialists to us and we haven't seen it return since Modern Warfare 2019.

So maybe this is something they could still add sometime down the road.
