The next game, obviously disbanding lobbies, has not been really well received since they introduced this in COD a few years ago, and Infinity Ward last year said they were going to look into it but never did, and then, as Charlie and Ta alluded to their Sledgehammer, talked about it earlier this year, maybe as an experimental playlist, but it seems like now they're just sort of pushing this out in waves to random players.
Not everyone is going to have this option, but some players, when you're jumping in multiplayer, might, so you can keep playing against the same players in your lobby if you liked the competition, or if maybe there's some trash talk going on, you don't have to worry about it just all ending the second the match ends, then you got to go find a new lobby to fill up and play with, so definitely a cool development here.
New event update for warzone & modern warfare 3
The final part of today's new update actually features some new content and a new event in the form of the Godzilla and Kong Battle. For Hollow Earth, this is going to be a relatively basic event, but it does offer some free new rewards for anyone, whether you're playing with the free trial or multiplayer.
Battle Royale because it's just XP-based, so as long as you're earning these XP thresholds and these requirements, you'll get all these new rewards. So for instance, you get a weapon sticker, then you get some double XP, you get a large decal, and you then get a double weapon. XP token, you get titness Doug, which looks like almost an alligator more than anything.
I won't lie, you get another large decal. Obviously, all this is themed around Godzilla and Kong. You get the monarchy emblem. You might remember Operation Monarch back during War Zone 1: you get a new calling card; you get a double battle pass. XP token, and then ultimately for just 160, 000. XP, which really isn't a ton, especially considering there's a double XP event going on, and if that ends and you have tokens to use, you could pop those on as well.
With 160, 000, XP ends up getting you a brand new Universal camo. This is the heavy metal camo. It'll be available on any gun from any game; it's all right-looking, nothing too crazy, but it's still a universal camo, and it's only going to be available while this event is live for the next 4 days and 20 hours. Obviously, that number gets lower and lower the later on you are watching this article, but yeah, we do have our next new event now live, and we'll see another new event start once this one ends in a couple of days.
New fix confirmed for warzone & mw3
Also, a bit of post-edit Zack here, but as I was in the middle of recording, I just happened to pop back on over to the MW3 Trello board and notice that they did actually update something here.
The latency bug that's still going on that we've had going on for several weeks now where it just says, na, you can't see your ping whatsoever in multiplayer or war zone Well, that's now this that is fixed scheduled instead of investigating, so I imagine that in the next couple of days when we see some new updates drop potentially the fix to Boreal, an interstellar on the Horus, and whatnot, whenever we see that hop fix go live that'll also be updated, then we can actually get back to seeing our pinging game rather than having to go into the menus to check there, so definitely an update I'm looking forward to with that, but all that being said, that's going to wrap things up for this one.
