News - Black Ops V Reveal Has Been Announced And Warzone 2 Zombies Big Update Is Here
So today is definitely a pretty big one, guys. Not only are we less than 24 hours away from the season 3 Reloaded update, where we are finally going to see some new content here in Modern Warfare Zombies. Microsoft also just dropped a pretty big bombshell on us today where we are actually going to be seeing the new Call of Duty game reveal at the new Xbox showcase, which for the longest time now the majority of us were thinking that it was going to be Black Ops Go 4.
Well, now things just might have changed a little bit personally. Try to upload daily, and we do guide news and updates around here, and sometimes I just like to rant to you guys before we get into everything. I do need to give a huge shout-out to today's sponsor. That's right, guys, we now officially know when the next Call of Duty: Black Ops game is going to be officially revealed. Xbox went ahead and posted this to their Twitter today, feeling that their next Xbox game showcase is going to take place on June 9th at 10:00 a. M then, right next to it, we have the very black-ops-looking photo.
Here we have the traditional orange theme going for it, and then, of course, we had going around that the code name for the next coming Call of Duty game was going to be Serverus. I'm using the three-headed dog here from hell, which is actually pretty cool, plus with all of the redacted lines, the Black Ops Series has been very known to do that throughout all of their marketing.
We can see that the Call of Duty logo is going to perfectly fit up top, and then Black Ops is going to be on the bottom, but it's just too small to fit in Gol War, which, thank God. I don't think that name really just doesn't sound right when you say it, like you got to make this weird pause in between Black Ops and Gol War; it's like Black Ops gol 4; even if you try to say it all in one go, it just seems like there's this weird little hiccup in there.
I just don't like it. We got this little orange tip that's coming out of the side, and from all of the other Black Ops logos that we all got, it's looking like this is probably either going to be Black Ops 5, or possibly even Black Ops 6 if they do go with Black Ops 6. I think that might confuse quite a few people, and I think it would just be smarter if they stuck with Black Ops 5.
I think that would really blow up marketing. Plus. Cold War just didn't really seem like it was Black Ops 5; it seemed like it was its own little spin-off, plus with all the rumors going around that we're supposedly Just like we did last year, where we got a 2-year cycle with modern warfare, we're going to be getting the same thing with Black Ops, kind of like a Black Ops 2 remaster type thing, and well, at least that's the rumor that's been circulating.
Around right now, it really wouldn't surprise me if they decided to come out with the mainline title at first and then give us like another spin-off title for the second year. The Xbox game showcase will be live streamed on June 9, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. Additional time zones are below, like our double feature last year with Starfield Direct.
Immediately following the showcase, we'll be airing a special deep dive into the next installment of a beloved franchise. We can't say so much, but for now, we'll call it the Xbox Game Showcase, followed by Redacted Direct. This will also be our first showcase featuring games from our portfolio of studios across Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda, and Xbox Game Showcases.
In addition to titles from our third party Partners it seems to me like we're going to be getting the Xbox game showcase and then directly after it's done we're going to be getting a full deep dive reveal, of the next Call of Duty game who knows possibly we could be getting a very short trailer during the Xbox showcase that would make a lot of sense to me that way they can get it out there before either people leave or stop watching then hopefully after the Showcase is done they're actually going to go in and maybe like show us a complete like the first mission or something like that like they usually like to do give us a little bit of campaign and it would be really, cool since Treyarch's one of their big focuses, this year is on zombies It would be really cool if they did, kind of like they did with Black Ops 4, and when they come out, they actually do a complete breakdown and show us exactly what they're working on.
I'm already pretty positive that we're going to be getting a nice little look at the campaign, but I would really like it if they just went all out and showed us the multiplayer and showed us some zombies. I'm sure that they know how long and how hyped the zombie community is for Treyarch to finally be back at the Reigns and back at doing what they do best.
I wouldn't even mind it if they ever so slightly just gave us a little teaser of what's to come with zombies, kind of like they did with the Cold War teaser, which was really cool. This will also be the very First Call of Duty that's ever going to be coming out on Game Pass, so if you guys want to play multiplayer or play zombies, and if you guys got Game Pass, it's not going to cost you anything, well, except for what's costing you for the subscription.
I guess it will cost you something, but it'll be really cool to finally see all of the platforms on an equal playing field without any of the exclusivity. And stuff that's going on—I'm sure that Microsoft will probably do something. It really would be cool if they just said, You know what? The fact that we have it on Game Pass is going to be enough, because I have a feeling that's going to be strong enough to at least move some consoles or get people at least in the door when it comes to a Game Pass subscription.
