News - Warzone: The Verdansk Update Just Got Some Really Bad News. Delayed

black ops 6

Ladies and gentlemen. We've got some interesting news today that I certainly was not expecting to be talking about, but here we are. We've got some new details. Obviously, it's always a subject here in the Cod Community. WIS Verdansk is coming back. Hey, anything new about Verdansk? We've heard rumor after rumor after rumor for years now, ever since fans were initially removed from War Zone way back in the day, and the most up-to-date rumor prior to this new information dropping was that Verdansk was going to be a part of the Black Ops 6 integration.

Later on this year, that'd be the big map for the Black Ops 6 update, and then who knows how long it was planned to be around, but it seems like things have changed, unfortunately. It's not great news, all things considered, so keep in mind that this is not officially confirmed by Call of Duty themselves.

Cod had said absolutely nothing about Verdansk, so technically, the idea of Verdansk even returning in Black Ops 6 or returning to War Zone is still just a rumor or a leak as of right now as well, but the information and the sources that we have are pretty credible, so initially this was reported via the Bob network over on Twitter.

We talk about Bob pretty frequently here; he's one of the more prominent data miners and leakers in the Cod community, and he posted a tweet the other day saying exclusive. Verdansk will be delayed from season 1 of Black Ops 6 to sometime during the middle of the life cycle of Black Ops 6. Stan, however, will receive gameplay updates, map updates, and rank play with season 1 to compensate for this delay.

Now Bob Network's leaks have been pretty accurate in the past; obviously, he does a lot of data mining stuff, and that's a bit more, you know, direct than just word-of-mouth leaks and whatnot, but still, he clearly has sources that he's referenced in the past that you know have leaked things that come to fruition regarding MW3, or certain updates, all sorts of stuff like that, but here's where things get interesting.

Charlie Intel actually corroborated this; they basically posted kind of reiterating the same information, saying there will be no new big map for War Zone this year, and Verdansk is now releasing an early 2025. Obviously, the midlife cycle of Black Ops 6 is technically no longer 20124. It'd be, you know, January, February, March, April, and May of 2025, according to a new report from Bob Network.

We have also heard similar reports, so Charlie Intel obviously has his own sources. Urzikstan will get new updates later on this year, and someone did respond to Charlie Intel, saying, Hey, you know this isn't confirmed. This is a leak. You're kind of baiting this, or, like, is this clickbait? Charlie Intel directly responded and said multiple sources I've spoken to have confirmed this information to us, so whoever those sources are, they're reputable.

Charlie Intel is as credible as it gets with Call of Duty information, like I usually say here on the channel if Charles Intel is posting about it, if Charles Intel is talking about it, there's a reason behind that; they've got the best sources in the business, right, and with that, we can pretty much take this as the most unofficial confirmation we can get, but the most credible is the unofficial confirmation we can get that Verdansk W will be back this year.

I think that was sort of to be expected, but just more solidification. Is that a word we're going to roll with? It's, you know, again confirming Verdansk will be back, unfortunately. Not soon, you know. We say, Hey, hopefully sooner rather than later. Well, this time it's later rather than sooner, so why exactly is this happening?

What does this mean? What should we expect? Now, this definitely changes things. This will be technically, I think, the second time that a full integration has not launched with a quote, an unquote, or a new map. Obviously, Rans is not brand new. The only other time this happened was back during our very first integration, when we saw the Cold War integration drop.

Obviously, we just got the new Cold War operators and weapons at that time. Verdansk 84 didn't come for a little bit afterwards in a future seasonal update. I think it was like Season 2 or Season 3 of Cold War, and so with that, this would almost be sort of a repeat of that event. Funny enough, with the Treyarch integration, Verdansk would not be dropping until maybe season 2 or season 3 of Black Ops 6 at some point in, you know, early to mid-2025.

So right away with the Black Ops 6 integration, this should still be happening in late November or early December, potentially later on this year whenever season 1 drops, for, as you know. Black Ops 6 has its own title. That's when the integration has always happened, so with that, we can still expect the new Black Ops 6 weapons to make their way into the war zone.

The new Black Ops 6 operators and attachments, the movement systems of Black Ops 6 with Omni movement, and everything happening there—all of that will come into the war zone but will still be playing on Ekhan. Now, this would make sense in terms of the ranked play delays. Obviously, dating back to much earlier in this year, we kept asking about Hey, when's big map ranked going to come out when's ranked on Ekhan happening, and all Call of Duty has said is Hey ranked on the big map is happening later this year, just basically saying at some point in 2024.

It's going to be happening, and if that's now season 1, you know, launch with the Black Ops 6 integration and ö stand update, then yes, that would be November 2024 or December 2024; technically, yes, later this year, but it wouldn't be on Verdansk. So that, in and of itself, kind of lines up. I guess what is curious, though, is the longevity of Verdansk.

If this is a map that is going to be dropping in season 2 or season 3 of Black Ops 6, then it's only going to be a couple of seasons. Presumably, let's say it drops in season 3; only three more seasons, season 4, 5, and six of Black Ops 6 until Call of Duty 2025, are out now. It is rumored to be a Black Ops 2 sort of remaster or reimagination, still taking place in like the Black Ops Universe probably, and it's going to be made from Treyarch, so I'm sure there will be plenty of connections between Black Ops 6 and COD 2025.
