News - Warzone: Surprise Meta Update Patch Notes. New Close Range Meta Changes. Warzone Update
I just have to play around with that, so I'm really glad they've gone through and updated that because that was definitely a really obnoxious thing about the googs this past season or so, so definitely a w update. There are also some bug fixes here; they fixed an issue causing the final elimination, causing the slow motion effect to persist after getting the final elimination.
With a vehicle that was just a buggy kill cam, they also fixed an issue on Fortune's Keep that allowed unmanned vehicles to remain attached to the research vessel and would eliminate players that came into contact with them, so if you happen to interact with one of those vehicles on the research vessel, it is not going to be a good time for you.
There was definitely an annoying bug there, but that's now been updated and fixed there, so those conclude the patch notes. We also have a few minor updates to some content coming with Operation Day Zero.
New operation day zero event rewards revealed
Well, so yesterday, actually, Call of Duty did preview Operation Day Zero. Not too much more than the information that we already knew, but they did specify some of the rewards. Obviously, this is a new big event happening with the launch of War Zone Mobile later this week, and with this, there's going to be a handful of free rewards that you can get just by playing the game and participating.
In the event itself, however, there are going to be community rewards and also individual rewards, and I wanted to point that out real quick as far as earning event points goes. Once you get these event points, you're going to be able to get the rewards in the game, and you do this by playing War Zone Mobile specifically.
And it's doing very basic things like opening supply boxes, eliminating players, completing contracts using streaks, getting head shots, and purchasing items from the buy station, so there's also going to be Day Zero zones. As the event goes on, the next zone will activate as the community reaches certain event point milestones, so it's like a full-on community-based event that everyone's going to get rewards for, and these are the community rewards.
We're going to have a large decal, and we're going to have an animated calling card, an emblem, an X12, a blueprint, and an M4 blueprint. Then there's also this golden Phantom Ghost operator skin that's a black and gold condemned skin. Everyone's going to get those as the community completes these zones, so even if you're not necessarily playing War Zone Mobile, you could end up getting them since everyone's going to have them unlocked when you go through, and we clear these zones.
Together, it'll be community-based, but with individual rewards as well, you'll be able to get a bunch of different stuff here. There are different emblems, calling cards, stickers, and weapon blueprints for the combat knife on another X12 blueprint and another M4 blueprint. Another ghost operator skin, so you'll be able to earn those individually, but you can only earn these.
By playing War Zone Mobile, whereas they are all cross-progression and crossover ones, community rewards will be available even if you're not actively playing War Zone Mobile. throughout the Operation Day Zero event, so just a few, you know, other details were explained. There, I guess you could say, but yeah, that being said, that is going to wrap things up for this one.
That's everything that changed in the new surprise weapon update and a handful of details on Operation Day Zero.
