News - Warzone 2. 0: New Update Changes, Broken Pay To Win Blueprint, Double Xp Events. Mw2 Update
Ladies and gentlemen, hey. We got a new mini update live in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone that unfortunately nerfs something that is very beneficial to players. We also have some other secret updates that went live over the past few days. We've got some new content live in the game today, and there is a very broken aspect of the store that seemingly is currently paid to win in MW2. War Zone 2 and DMZ have lots to break down today; let's start with the mini-update that went live this morning.
New update changes in warzone 2 & dmz fixes a big glitch
This is via Raven software. They ended up tweeting out saying earlier this morning we pushed a small update to adjust XP and rewards for buying stations. Now you might be wondering if you're out of the loop: why on Earth would it matter how much XP you're getting from buy stations?
Well, this is in response to a glitch that you can actually do in the DMZ and, I believe, also just in Battle Royale within War Zone 2, where you can get an insane amount of money. I think you can get the maximum amount of money, which is like $1.3 million, by doing a glitch where you drop your gun or you run up to an enemy's weapon that's on the ground and you drop cash or something like that.
I'm not fully sure how it works; it doesn't pertain to me, and I don't care too much for it, but there's this huge glitch that's been going around for the past few days where basically you get this max amount of money, you go to a buy station, and you spam buy things that give you XP, and you can max level a gun in one game.
It is insanely good for weaponry. XP technically is overall XP as well, and they've already nerfed this a few times. They ended up nerfing the ability to, you know, get the max cash, then they ended up nerfing the ability to get XP out of certain drops, but now they've completely reduced it. The amount of XP that you get for buying anything out of the buy station in order to combat this glitch will allow you to max level basically any weapon in maybe one or two games.
Why do the good glitches get fixed so fast?
This is broken, that's broken, and, trust me, I get it. I personally don't think it's a very good look to go out of your way to talk about how you're nerfing these glitches.
I almost prefer that they be quiet about these and more vocal about the other ones because of it. Just like I said, it's not a good look that the glitches that oftentimes benefit the player base and give us a ton of XP, a ton of weapon levels, or stuff like that get fixed like in 24 hours but, you know, the game-breaking issues where there are gas mask bugs.
There are invincibility issues. There are developer errors; those take, you know, days or weeks at a time to fix. Trust me, I see the comments every day. Um, essentially, I think the thing is here when it comes to you knowing XP. Glitches like this a lot of the time that's just a value in the back end like they can go and keep in mind I'm incredibly ignored are into game development.
I have zero idea how any of this stuff works. You could explain it to me like I'm five and I still wouldn't understand, but from the way that I get it, it's just values, so for instance with this cash glitch where you can go and buy a ton of stuff out of the buy station and get millions of XP right, it's just changing the value in the back end that the XP is, so instead of 500 XP value, it's you know, 15 XP value, so you're not getting nearly as much of a reward hence quote unquote Fixing that glitch requires, whereas finding a developer error problem requires.
A ton of QA testing, a ton of rigorous testing, and then finding the actual fix and implementing that, hopefully not breaking something else. Same deal with the gas mask, a bomb drone, or whatever else was said. I don't think it would be harmful to take out the bomb drone when it's causing blue screens and game-breaking issues.
Take out the gas mask if it's giving players insane glitches that give them free wins. I feel like that would be a good way to combat it while they work to fix it. Will they ever do that? You know, obviously, only time will tell; it'll depend on you knowing what the exact issue is, but just a little bit more insight into potentially why it seems like the glitches that always help us exist You know, the bugs get fixed so fast, whereas the game-breaking ones are not always the case, but a little mini-update on that.
New modern warfare 2 changes revealed
Earlier on today, we also got some new changes that are being worked on for Infinity War; this is actually for multiplayer. Specifically, they've updated their Trello over the past day or so. They've added some new tabs here; they're aware of an issue with editing CDL loadouts in private matches, and they're investigating that.
I do find it kind of strange that they keep talking about all these private match issues when a lot of the same issues relate to public matches as well, like if you're not the party host, you can't always edit your classes or your loadouts while you're searching for a game; they're aware of that, but it's not here on the Trello board for whatever reason; they still go on about the pings being disabled in multiplayer; they're.
We are aware of multiple developer errors when attempting to boot into a private match, so there are a lot of private match issues right now. I myself experienced that; it took me like 15 minutes the other day to get a working game on Shoot House, so they're aware of that one as well. Also, for their newest one, they actually have a fix coming up in a future update.
They're aware of an issue where changing attachments in the middle of a kill cam can actually destroy your frame rate and give you terrible. Stutters, so just a heads up right now, whether you're on console or PC, don't go through and change your weapon attachments while you're watching a kill cam; it's going to kill your game.
