Once again, we have a new sort of mini-update live here in Modern Warfare 2 in War Zone 2 with some brand new changes. We, too, just got word of a brand new weekend event coming up here later this week that some players will be able to take advantage of, which likely means in the next couple of weeks as we approach the launch of season two, which obviously, as of today, is now three weeks away, dropping on February 15th.

We'll probably see a couple of other events go live as well, but starting here, we do have this new tweet from Raven. As of this morning, they pushed a small little update live in war zone two. They say a minor update went live to address an issue that prevented Trio wins from counting towards the Champions Quest progress.

So up until this point, obviously, a lot of people are going for their nuke streaks and going for the Champions questions. It's otherwise known that you gotta get that five-win streak to activate the Champions quest in the first place, and it's been working in solos, duos, and quads. However, if you were playing tree articles, it was not tracking at all.

You could get five wins in a row in trios, but it wouldn't count towards that progress, and thus, he wouldn't be able to actually activate The Champions Quest challenge, which obviously is a huge bummer because if you had a trio and that's all that you had on for your squad, you were pretty much forced to play trio quads and either fill in with a random and hopefully they were good enough to keep up with your squad, or you had to play with that disadvantaged player account and play three on four.

which I mean most players going for the nuke are probably good enough to take disadvantaged fights—three on four, two on four, whatever the case may be—but regardless, it was still a pretty obnoxious issue if you were trying to play trios and you wanted that sort of end goal they were going for, then you could actually have a reason to win multiple games in a row, so they have gone through and fixed that, which is nice to see now.

Raven also updated us, like I said earlier, with a brand new event coming up here, as we can see if I go ahead and zoom in on the Trello board here, and you'll notice that we now have a double XP event coming up this weekend, actually starting first on the 26th. PlayStation is going to get its one day of exclusive Double XP.

Playstation. Xbox. PC, it doesn't matter, there's going to be a double XP event for the entire weekend from the 27th through the 30th, so if you're not at the 250 level cap for this season obviously, this weekend is going to be a great time to jump on and grind out some games. There's going to be double XP active in Warzone and in multiplayer as well, so regardless, also DMZ for what it's worth, so regardless of what mode you're actually playing, you'll be able to take advantage of that double XP.

I will say that out of all the events they could have run, this one is probably the least advantageous. Just because the season's been going on for so long up until this point, most players, even if they're not frequently playing, will still probably be relatively close to that 250-level cap. Speaking, you don't really need to get to Level 250, like it doesn't matter; nothing crazy happens when you hit Level 250 anyways, whereas, you know, double weapon XP obviously means players are still trying to level up weapons or double battle pass XP since we are rounding out the season here and I want to make sure you get your season one battle pass completed.

Season two does end up launching here, but yeah, we do have this little XP event going on right now also. It would be seriously appreciated. Let's try to aim for 2,000 likes on this one. We really appreciate all the love and support on the channel.

Multiple confirmed changes for future updates

Raven Trello obviously is just battle royale and DMZ, whereas Infinity Ward Trello has the gunsmith and multiplayer. DMZ Battle Royale and none global issues as well, and they actually haven't updated this in some time; I think the 20th was the last day they updated this, but outside of that, there are a lot of issues here that aren't really that active anymore.

I'm sure we're going to continue to see these one-off updates that fix one or two things here and there in between now and the launch of season two, so we'll have to wait and see for that, but we do have a bunch of issues here.

A bunch of gameplay updates that are confirmed ; and then, to round things out here, we did see a new playlist update go live today as a part of the Modern Warfare 2 update in War Zone 2 as well, and this was actually determined by the community, so you can see our main featured playlist here for this next week, leading up to presumably next Wednesday.

Shoot the Ship is back now, and this is actually the first time Shoot the Ship has been live. Modern Warfare 2 is today, and of course we had this all the time back during MW 2019. Infinity war ran a poll on Twitter yesterday. Shoot the ship or shipment 24 7 or shoot house 24 7 and shoot the ship beat out shipment by about three percent on the vote, so it was close, but players wanted to shoot the ship according to the Infinity Ward Twitter community, so we've got shoot the ship now live obviously, a mix of various, different modes on shoot house and shipment, so that's perfect for camo grinding; make sure you get all your setups ready for that. We also see the continuation of Cyber Attack; here is a featured playlist; we got the CDL Mosh Pit still live; this of course is leading up to ranked for Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer dropping on the 15th.

And then we also have Bounty, now back live as well as a featured mode, and of course for multiplayer, we also have all the quick play stuff you go through and filter this for any of the modes that you want to play here. Knock out prisoner, rescue kill confirmed, all the usual stuff is still live and available as needed, and then of course we got the other stuff as well, like ground war invasion standards, then we go over to Warzone here, and I'm not gonna lie, it's kind of strange that this is now.

I think, the third week in a row where we have a playlist update, but it's not really a playlist update. We've got Battle Royale quads, trios, duos, and solos, so of course, all the standard rule set, so all the party sizes for the standard rule set, but then we have mini Royale trios as our LTM, which, don't get me wrong, is definitely a lot of fun.
