The new trophy hunt event is now live for Modern Warfare 2, and with this event there are 20 different items you can earn, two of them being mastery and operator skins. We're going to be showcasing all the rewards and how you get these coins using the absolute fastest method I've been testing out in MP.
In Warzone and DMZ. I found a fast method that works for all modes and is the absolute fastest method, and trust me, you're going to want a fast method for this because if you plan on getting all of these items, you're going to need a lot of these coins. Once you load up the game, you're going to see this new events tab.
How to find the event in mw2
if , you click on it, it's going to take you to the trophy hunt screen. You can see your total amount of trophies you're able to earn right here. You can see I've got 156. In my trophy bank then you can see the different rewards, so what you do is once you collect these trophies you can then go to this screen right here and you can start to buy these rewards not, all of the rewards are currently live so right now these are the different rewards, you can get you can get the Spade Sunset emblem for 15 trophies, you can get the enhanced Vision calling card for 15 trophies, you can get a double battle pass XP token; they don't tell you how long this lasts for, but it's probably an hour.
All event rewards (mw2 trophy hunt event)
Costs 30 trophies, you can get a one-tier skip for the battle pass that's going to cost 30 trophies, you can get the mud skirt vehicle skin for 30 trophies, you can get the Valeria stair loading screen for 30 trophies, you can get the bleed-out weapon sticker, this is once again going to be 30 trophies, a plan forms loading screen for 30 trophies, you can get the Trophy Hunter charm for 30 trophies, and this is my favorite item out of all these so far.
You can get the track and kill gun screen for 60 trophies, and then you can get the Venom Strike assault rifle for 150 trophies. For the last item you're able to earn right now, this one's going to cost 1. 000 trophies, and this is the Trophy Hunter Master calling card, and we'll get into how ridiculous this is going to be able to earn in just a little bit, but after this, you can see there's even more rewards coming soon.
On the 26th, there's going to be six more rewards that unlock: a double XP token, a vehicle scan and emblem, a loading screen, another battle pass, a tear skip, and a different blueprint. This one's for a battle rifle. It appears to be the attack V, unfortunately. We can't preview these; the only way to preview these items is by buying them. We'll actually go ahead and buy the assault rifle at the end of this article if you're curious about that, but this is where it gets interesting: there are also Master Rewards for this event after.
New mastery unlock in mw2 (mw2 trophy hunt event)
If you buy 10 different awards, you're going to unlock this Rose skin, and this is a Mastery Operator skin, so I know a lot of this seems like junk; no one really wants calling card emblems, loading screens, and all that, but the reason you want to buy these is because you want to buy 10 different of them so you can go ahead and get this master reward.
Then, once you get 15 items, you're going to get the second master reward. This is a Kong skin here, and this one looks pretty sick; it appears to have red night vision goggles on, and that's not all of them; you don't have to buy all of them. I think that's what most people are currently having issues with this event.
They load up the rewards, they see this calling card that takes a thousand trophies, and they realize they're not going to be able to get them. Most people probably aren't going to get that, but luckily, you don't need to buy this to be able to get both of these Mastery skins. You can actually skip out on three different awards, and looking at these ones coming on the 26th, there's no way any of these are going to be worth a thousand; this is a double XP token; this one's a vehicle skin; and whatnot, so if you wait out and just wait for this next set to unlock, you'll probably be able to get this master reward without needing anywhere near a thousand trophies; this is meant to be like a grand reward that most people are probably going to want to skip on because at the end of the day it's a calling card.
How to get trophies in the mw2 trophy hunt event
Now let's go over how you can earn these trophies in game; each mode is going to have a different method if you're playing normal MP. Each unique enemy you take down is going to drop a trophy. What this means is that you can't keep farming the same enemy. If you take down an enemy, collect his trophy, and he spawns back in, you can't just keep farming that same enemy.
You've got to go through and try to take down all the different enemies on the enemy team to max out your amount of trophies, and you have to play the entire match if you collect six trophies and back out; you don't get to keep any of those. You're only going to save once. The match ends, so yes, you can't just back out once you've maxed out the trophies; you've got to wait then for Warzone, where both players and bots are going to drop trophies when killed, and you can also find trophies in loot.
However, you either have to win the game with the trophies in your inventory for them to be collected or you have to take them to an upload station. If you collect six trophies and then you get taken out by an enemy team and you lose the game, none of those count; they're only going to save when you either win the game or take them to an upload station.
Is going to work the same way both bots and real players and looting can find trophies; however, you have to take them to an upload station or you have to X Bill to be able to save these. Fastest multiplayer method to farm trophies
Now that we've loaded the game, if you look at the bottom left of the screen, you're going to see a new part of the HUD that is trophies collected, and it shows zero out of six. This is going to keep track of the number of trophies we have, and the maximum you're able to get in a game of TDM is six trophies.
