News - The Warzone 2 Christmas Update
Not sure how, but that could be something similar to what we've seen with previous challenge events we're playing as a certain operator gives you an XP boost, but we haven't seen that for an actual challenge event where you have to do things and tasks inside of certain game modes. We've only seen a boost like that for the XP-based events, so I'm not sure exactly how this is going to work, but I'll keep you guys posted with exactly what the details are going to be.
All codmas multiplayer challenges breakdown
But the challenges that have been leaked out thus far for multiplayer are as follows: Get 40 operator melee kills with stalker boots equipped; get 40 operator kills with a weapon picked up from another player; get 100 operator kills with the dg58. LSW get six operator snowball kills in snowball, gunfight, get 40 operator headshot kills with a sniper DMR or battle rifle, then get 30 operator kills while playing infected holiday, and get five operator kills while sliding or crouching, followed by having completed all seven event challenges that will allow you to unlock the Santa Sligh Ground Mastery reward.
It's unclear if it's a blueprint or a camo. Well.
Snowball gunfight mode & ground loot
I have to wait and see exactly what this could be, but judging from those mission descriptions, it looks like we're getting some Christmas variants of at least gunfight and infected, possibly even more. I'm sure they'll give us a variance of confirmed kills or even hard points that's exciting to look forward to when it comes to the multiplayer front.
But you guys probably heard about snowballs, right? So yeah, we're going to see what looks like a snowball gunfight, and we're also going to be seeing snowballs in the ground looting over in the war zone. We saw this in the blackout many years ago during the Black Ops 4 life cycle, but a description for this snowball ground loot did leak out and was posted over on Twitter by the usual leakers.
It says to take on the opposing team in a deadly snowball fight if you see snowballs lying around the ground or on a wall and interact with them to restock golden snowballs or a guaranteed one. It kills only one spawn in the center of the map per round, so you need to be quick now.
The new krampus boss fight explained
During Vanguard's Christmas event known as festive fervor.
Krampus ended up wrecking havoc in both multiplayer and War Zone, which quickly sparked controversy in both of those communities, and this year Krampus is back but with a twist in the form of a zombie Santa who will be a boss fight aen to the butcher that we just saw in Modern Warfare 2's recent haunting events.
Instead of it being AI, or instead of him being AI that roams around the maps randomly, you have to go through a portal to actually fight him. Some other early details for the Christmas event in the War Zone do include that players can find base crates, legendary crates, ultra crates, and even Rudolph crates, as well as a Santa crate around the environment, so those sound like a lot of fun.
There is a zombie Rudolph who could be killed, and Krampus will be featured through an Easter egg of some sort, so it's unclear if it's actually Krampus. That could spawn in as AI that can kill you or something, just as a funny joke, or if it's something Krampus-related that you can find, like a blueprint, or something around the environment that just is a call back to the Vanguard last war zone.
Pacific Event: It's unknown in terms of details, but players must also secure trees to earn loot. Securing a tree for Tier 3 will create a portal to Santa's black site, and I'm assuming that's where this evil zombie Santa boss could be found, similar to Krampus.
Deck the halls secret keys & tree rewards
And the gas will eventually follow the runway train hijacked by zombie Santa. The last team standing wins, and operators must obtain a key from Deck the Halls, detailed below, with which they can enter a merry portal.
Players will have to take down a zombified juggernaut named Santa before reaching the massive sack of valuable loot, so I think we're going to be seeing several different types of bosses during this Christmas update for War Zone. I'm sure there'll be a separate blog post dropped all about this prior to the launch of the Christmas update, but on top of that.
Santa has delivered presents across Zstan, as confirmed in the blog post, and this is going to be through a number of holiday crates. The new Uran War Zone map is receiving a Christmas makeover as Santa has left presents all around the map. Players can use their tech map to find trees that have rewards nearby.
It's claimed that an evil Santa will spawn in these trees, which sounds like a little bit more of a balanced version of Krampus, like I just mentioned. So yeah, there'll be hot drops where there's plenty of trees you can go up to take advantage of the most valuable loot in the environment. But let's say you don't drop on a hot drop and you just come across a tree later in your match, so take advantage of that if you guys need a bit of a loot boost to whatever your inventory looks like. You probably get some killstreaks, Durble gas mask self-revives extra money, and who knows what else but.
Slay ride warzone challenges breakdown
We're also going to be seeing what is called a slay ride. Resurgence is the list of challenges you can complete inside the slay ride. Resurgence also just leaked out, and I believe it's tied to the cod Miss Challenge we talked about earlier, which is for multiplayer.
You could probably just hit R1 on your controller or whatever button, and you could switch to see what the war zone challenges are. M was also being described as a moving point of interest; the San Train will be getting a slay.
Sleigh ride train reskin in urzikstan
Riot reskin, Santa will reportedly be on the train handing out presents to those who've been nice, but naughty operators are in for a rude awakening if they decide to board the slay ride.
So I wonder if we will see an actual naughty and nice system in this Christmas update, or if that's just a nice play on words in the recent blog post. There is still a lot to look forward to when it comes to the Christmas updates for multiplayer, War Zone, and possibly even zombies, but that is about it. This has been DK.
