In this article, I want to go over the big update coming to Modern Warfare 3 zombies next week. Yes, that is right, the season 1 mid-season update is going to be arriving next Wednesday, on the 20th of December. This includes a huge Christmas event that is not just for zombies but War Zone and multiplayer 2, so let's go through everything coming first of.
The 3 new zombies maps, surely for round based/onslaught and not just the ray gun mode
The biggest thing is that there's a new mode called Vortex, which is basically a combination of multiplayer. And zombies now. I'm sure you've experienced all of the people that have been hacking into the game to use ray guns in multiplayer recently, and that is because it is for this event, and that's why the ray gun has been activated in multiplayer now, and interestingly, enough Slammer games in an effort to try and patch this have made it so that anyone who has hacked the game to get a ray gun will inflict damage on themselves upon trying to use the ray gun anyways.
There's actually going to be three overhauled multiplayer maps coming to the game, one of which is Satan's Quarry, which looks to be lava. Transit version of Quarry it looks so cool even the cranes look similar to The Towers of Babel we also have SPO yard that looks absolutely insane with these giant mushrooms in the background it looks like it's set within the dark ether itself and this is obviously an overhaul of scrapyard and finally we have tetanus, which is rust I guess there's toxicity.
From the rust itself, this is probably the least cool overhaul compared to the other two, but yeah, I am sure they haven't just designed and overhauled these maps just for this game mode. I'm sure at some point in the future, hopefully we get to see these in some sort of round-based experience or onslaught.
Since there are rumors that round base will be coming at some point in Modern Warfare 3 zombies I don't think it's going to be a full-fledged round based experience it may just be a smaller scale Ram based experience but I would love to see Onslaught back Onslaught containment on these Maps as well I highly doubt they're just going to be for this Vortex, limited time mode because they've put so much work and effort into making these Maps look so cool it would be really disappointing if this is all they are for maybe you can even teleport onto them from zakhan, via some sort of upcoming Quest or something like that anyways what does this mode entail itself, well it's a free throw mode where one player spawns in with the ray gun which will be a one shot on any enemy and whoever eliminates the operator with the ray gun will become the new owner of this powerful otherworldly.
Pistol, and like I said, it takes place on those three multiplayer. Maps I can't wait for this mode though it's going to be so much fun it's kind of just like One in the Chamber, a little bit and people have been wanting the ray gon in multiplayer for such a long time it was a big meme during Black Ops 3 with a bunch of people making clickbait articles and finally it has arrived in multiplayer, we had it in blackout of course but it's good to see it in multiplayer too I wonder if it could come over to war zone at some point as well maybe next year when tra's Call of Duty releases I hope we get to see more zombies elements inside of War Zone like we got with blackout but yeah I really hope we get to see Onslaught or round base we also had the zombified versions, of L Silo, as well as Embassy inside of Modern Warfare 2 in the Halloween, events and now that we're on a unified Engine with the Cod HQ there's no reason those Maps can't be brought into Modern Warfare 3 as well since they've already brought many of the Modern Warfare 2 maps into multiplayer it's very easy for them to cross over content now before we continue with the rest of the information .
