News - The Schematic Cooldown System Warzone 2 Zombies Is Bad. Here's Why
Second idea
By the end of the game, it should also decrease the actual cooldown time itself, so instead of it being 5 hours, let's say you play a game and you successfully complete it. Now those items you use instead of it being a 5-hour cooldown, it's now going to be maybe half of that, or if it's a, you know, two-day cooldown, it's only going to be one-day cooldown, so just a way to make it a lot faster.
Best idea
As you actively play more which is what they should be doing they should always be incentivizing, people to keep on playing which is great for player attention, and it's also great to just get people to enjoy the game more so they can actually feel rewarded for playing the game now those two things would definitely be the easiest options that they can implement it wouldn't really take much work for them to do it but my other idea is a lot more complex and I do think would be a better system, but I just don't see this ever being included in this game and maybe they'll add a system like this for the next Call of Duty the next time they do some sort of mode like this but my other idea is adding another in-game currency that is separate from Cod points and this currency you only earn through actually playing the game maybe they can even throw this currency in the battle pass or in bundles as well it could be anywhere really, but for the most part you're going to be earning it just by playing the game whether it's doing daily challenges.
Or just playing, you'll just earn them just like you earned crypto keys, and Salvage back in the prior Call of Duty games that had those and also Cold War had the ethereum crystals as an in-game currency so they could throw in some sort of currency like that, and you use this currency for a one-time purchase of any item that you've already unlocked with the schematics, so let's say, of course, you unlock the ray gun schematic.
Now you can use it whenever you want, as long as you have enough currency for it. So let's say the currency is ethereum crystals. Let's just say you use the same currency as during the Cold War, I guess. And so we'll turn into keys, actually, because that might get confused with the crystals you use to pack-and-punch your guns, so let's say they're just simply keys, right?
That's what you get. And let's say you need 100 keys for an array gun, so if you only earn, like, 50 keys in one match, maybe that's how much you earn in a singular match. In not every match, you'll get the same amount, just depending on what you do in the match and how long you stay in the match.
Let's say you earn 50 keys. Now you have to play a whole other game to earn enough to buy that ray gun. And then you buy it, you get one-time use for it, and now all those keys are gone, and of course the more you play, the more you're going to earn them, so maybe you can just save them up and get as many keys as you want so you can just keep purchasing the stuff as you wish, and also, of course, other items would be a lot cheaper.
Obviously, the ray gun will probably be one of the more expensive ones, but when you go down to things like Ether tools and stuff like that the different from Perks there may be only 20 keys, 10 keys each, so you can just keep buying those as much as you want. Again, as long as you have the keys available, it still incentivizes you to keep playing to get more keys.
But you're also able to still get these items on a frequent basis rather than having to wait for like 2 days on a cooldown, which is again a stupid system. Instead of just waiting for the cooldown, you have to actually jump in and play in order to get more keys to use on the items, which is a much better system and feels much more rewarding for the player, and I think this system would be a great thing to introduce because I personally think this exact idea is how they should handle gobblegums.
Within Call of Duty 2024 If you guys don't know, gobblegums have been leaked to be returning in next year's Call of Duty: Zombie game, which could be a really good thing or a bad thing. It really depends on how they implement them, but I personally think the way to earn them should be through a very similar system to this where you earn some sort of in-game currency and you can just purchase the items for a one-time use as you go along.
This would also allow for an endless grind in the game that gives players a way to constantly earn something that they can use. As long as they ever play this game, like, think about it, they could just constantly be grinding for keys for all of eternity. If they really wanted to, they could, you know, save them up.
If they want, they can save up like a thousand keys and then maybe just use them all at once. Maybe they want to use some of their keys and some of their items, and maybe you get something like daily rewards for keys.
