News - Call Of Duty Just Exposed Warzone 2's Biggest Issue. Sbmm

Is it now becoming a negative? Is it backfiring in any way? Could that have been a reason why they finally put out a statement because they have plans to change how it works in the future? It's certainly a possibility now. Maybe, for whatever reason, the way that they dialed up the matchmaking with modern warfare 19 worked for that game.

War Zone Cold War Vanguard MW2. Even and then War Zone 2.0, but maybe with Modern Warfare 3 and this new iteration of War Zone we're about to get in a couple days, maybe that matchmaking has to change because it's no longer providing Activision with a success that they hope that it would.

I mean, you can also go as far as to say that maybe right now engagement could be high with Modern Warfare 3, but maybe they foresee that engagement may drop off because of the matchmaking.

I mean, there's a lot of things we can speculate about here; we don't have the exact answers in front of us, but it's still fun to have a discussion about. Recently, there was a Q&A Sledgehammer did on Reddit, and I still find it funny that to this day there wasn't a way that they could have filtered out questions about spmm, which we know they weren't going to answer.

They also did a Q&A on the Paul Sh. Podcast i mean, even Raven popped in. I think on the Paul Sh podcast, the chat itself and people out there asking about spmm are never going to get their questions answered, so we all knew that kind of going into the AMA on Reddit. And yet they still answered a decent amount of questions, which I found useful, but maybe because of all the spam asking about SPMM, it encouraged them to finally put out a statement considering how transparent all the studios have been, especially with the launch of Modern Warfare 3.

Let's keep that train going and keep that transparency with the community. And let's finally address something that has been asked for a number of years now. It's definitely frustrating when people out there are almost unquote forced to reverse boost and nobody's forced to do it, but you know you have the gameplay-focused multiplayer channels or the gameplay-focused war zone channels, and you know they're going to go ahead and reverse boost or use VPN.

Whatever the case, they're joining bot lobbies to go ahead and get better gameplay. It's frustrating when that has to happen because of how strict the matchmaking could be, and maybe they just can't keep up for the sake of their business, but then you have other things like input-based matchmaking.

With the fact that you can't just change your input when you spawn into a game you accidentally selected the wrong input before you spawned in you have to back out and queue again right that gets frustrating I mean disbanding lobbies is something that also has probably been the most upsetting part of spmm, for me over the years because it's fun out there to either win or lose against another team and to rematch them right whether it's because you did really well or you just want to try them out again to hopefully get a victory this time the fact you can't do that anymore is a bit upsetting, and I know said with Modern Warfare 2 and I think even Modern Warfare 3 that disbanding, lobbies, isn't a guarantee.

I mean, there will be times you do play with the same people, but it's still pretty rare, and you can bet that has something to do with how skill-based matchmaking works, but with how strict the spmm could be, it almost forces players to go ahead and use the meta; they can't sit back; they can't just relax and complete challenges without worrying about competing with, you know.

CDL-type players. That gets annoying because people out there just want to sit back and casually play the game; they don't want to have to worry about you playing well for one or two matches in a row. Now you're going to be in a bunch of sweaty lobbies for the next four or five days, and then rinse and repeat every day.

Right, that does get annoying now, although the beginning of a new season is typically extremely sweaty, at least on the multiplayer side. I can hope that once rank comes out with reloads and War Zone gets significant updates with season 1, a lot of sweats that are currently plaguing the MP lobbies might move onto those other experiences, and you might start seeing fewer sweats across the board overall.

The sweats are never going away.
