News - Round Based Finally Coming To Warzone 2 Zombies Season 4 Update. New Easter Egg & Perks/boss Possible

New round based mode

I have a short Modern Warfare 3 zombies article today going over some upcoming content and stuff coming in season 4 because it seems like we're finally going to be getting some kind of round-based experience in this game, although it's kind of minor and is not full on true round-based if you are unaware.

Before Modern Warfare zombies were released, apparently the YouTubers went to a press event with Treyarch. They had been told that some kind of round-based experience would be coming to the game and would satisfy round-base fans. It's kind of similar to what we heard before Vanguard zombies, and of course they ended up adding the objective where you could teleport to a small section and experience rounds there, but it wasn't really true round-base, and eventually they reverted to adding proper round-base in the game with Shino Numa and the Aron.

Well, with Modern Warfare 3 zombies, they're not changing to round-based, of course, but there is some kind of round-based thing coming if you are unaware. It's rumored, but this is not confirmed, that there's only going to be one more story mission coming to the game and one more cut scene. Of course, the last cut scene we got for Union is seemingly the Final Act form Mission, so the next one will be in Act 5, and maybe there's only one C scene we get in Act 5, as apparently there's no new story mission in season 4, there's only one in season 5, and there's not one in season 6.

This could be misinterpreted. From the files, or there are in fact ones planned for each season, but so far this is what we have to go on from the files, so basically season 4 is going to have different contents, considering that there's not going to be a proper story mission, and one thing that's been found in the files is that apparently there's going to be a new unstable Rift coming to the game, and apparently if you enter this dark ether Rift, there's going to be a survival.

Phase, so seemingly it seems like there's going to be a rift that you'll enter and you'll be able to survive rounds in the dark ether, but it does mention in the FES Rift completed, so it seems like you may only have a limited amount of rounds you can actually survive in here that will get increasingly harder, and this does sound very similar to the void objective we had in Vanguard zombies, so this could be a way to incorporate. round based on the game without having a proper round.

Pvp mode

Based on this, it is also rumored that we might be getting some sort of PVP mode inside of season 4, as PVP mode has been found and rumored in the FS for a while now. Apparently, it's going to be pretty much the same mode as the regular one, but it's going to be a separate mode, and you won't be able to boot it up from the menu; it will be via its own.

Rift portal that you'll have to access and it will be a Terminus recon mission now it's possible that this could be cook content this unstable Rift could be cook content as well as the PVP mode could be cut content or maybe both of these things are going to be coming considering that might not be a story mission in season 4 these both could be the replacement, for it from a storyline perspective though maybe the unstable Rift is caused because of course the ntity and AA were reformed in The Last Story Mission and maybe now it's getting more chaotic in the dark ether as the veil between the Realms is weakening.

And then maybe in season 5, due to this unstable Rift getting weaker and weaker. AA is going to go back in the dark ether and reform with the entity in season 5, and then there's going to be some sort of big Cliffhanger for Black Ops 6 zombies and leading into the future, and the sequel to Modern Warfare 3 zombies as well, so I think that this is pretty big news, but unfortunately, that's pretty much all we know is coming in season 4; we don't really have any other information.

We don't know if there's new schematics coming or if it's just going to be this unstable. Rift and maybe a PVP Rift as well, and then we'll get another story mission in season 5.

New perks/boss still possible!

Previously, TR said that there were no new perks or enemy types coming to the game, so maybe we could get some returning perks in the future. KCK has been in the fouls of the game since forever. Technically, it's not a new one; it's a returning one, and Tre has stepped off the project now that Sledgehammer is taking over, so maybe that statement is no longer true now that they're taking over, but yeah.

I'm excited for this Easter egg. It's kind of weird; it's just randomly being added on the 15th, though not with the season 3 Rel loaded update. Hopefully we learn some more stuff is going to be coming in season 4, though, but right now this is all we know, but there's going to be lots of teasers.

Bo6 zombies teasers and reveal

For Black Ops 6 zombies soon, I wonder if this Easter egg with the Panza soldak could be teasing Black Ops 6 zombies as well. There's apparently going to be a reveal event in War Zone before season 4, literally in the coming weeks with Black Ops 6, then a reveal live stream, a direct event after the Xbox game showcase, on June 9th.

And we know Season 4 is going to be a week prior, on May 29th, so it is not long away at all now. We also don't know when this content is going to be available. We don't know whether these Rifts are going to be added at the start of season 4 or whether they're going to be season 4 reloaded, just like all of the other Modern Warfare Zombies updates.

It could be that we get the unstable rift at the start of season 4, or maybe the PVP rift in season 4 is reloaded. Hopefully there's more content coming; though this is just stuff that's Elite, there's the possibility that way more could be coming. I don't know what Sledgehammer and the rest of the developers are cooking, unfortunately, but this is what we know right now.
