News - Verdansk Returns To Call Of Duty Warzone

Ladies and gentlemen I have some news for you. It appears as though you read the title and saw the thumbnail. We are going to be getting verdance as well, and it appears as though, based on the news that came out today, we are indeed going to be getting verdance, but it's not going to be when you want it, so this is from Charlie.

Intel says breaking Verdansk will reportedly be the big map for Call of Duty War Zone with Treyarch's Call of Duty 2024 game. Insider Gaming reported this information, citing their sources, and we've also heard similar information that Verdansk will return. He also linked to The Insider Gaming, the actual article, which we're going to have a brief look at as well, so it says here.

Insider Gaming has learned that War Zone's original map, Verdansk, is set to return by the end of 2024. While details are still unclear on the exact release date of the map, it's understood that the current plan is to follow the traditional War Zone main map relief schedule to have Verdansk return as part of Black Ops Go 4's season 1.

So just as a summary of that, if you don't already know, Treyarch has now been working on their current Call of Duty 2024 game for four years now. It is the longest that a studio has ever worked on a Call of Duty game, and seemingly with that, we're going to be getting campaigns, we're going to be getting zombies, which apparently is going to have weeks of early access, which is insane in and of itself, but then the war zone is set to be big as well, with them planning on bringing back Verdance in 2024.

That's going to become important in a moment. Then it goes on to say that if Call of Duty continues its annual trend of late October and early November releases, it suggests that Verdance is set to return in December 2024, which I do think makes a lot of sense. Call of Duty fans will be familiar that Verdansk has seen several changes to its map since the original release, generally seeing major changes in its seasons of content.

Due to ongoing development, it is unclear which season the map will be based on; one source implied that it will be a fan favorite season, but the exact details are murky, so this is where my input comes in. I want to say a couple of things based on the story and things that we know, so first of all, let's get out the information that we just got right away.

We know that next year we are getting a new Black Ops game from Treyarch. It is rumored to be called Black Ops Golf War, not Cold War; it is said to be coming out probably late October or early November, and then in December we are going to get the new war zone update and the new war zone big map, which is said to be Verdance.

Now the question is: how is this going to take place? When is the map going to take place? What is the story going to be about it? Well, I actually have a prediction for that. First of all, you could look at it in one way and say that it is going to take place during the golf war, hence the Black Ops golf war, but I don't think that is the actual case.

If you look back at Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, half the game kind of took place during the Cold War, which was the Frank Woods and Alex Mason part of the story. The other part of the story took place during the year. 2025, now in Black Ops Cold War, we got a new version of Verdance that took place in.

1984, Call of Duty 2024. If they have two sections of the campaign, one that takes place in the Gulf War and one that takes place within present-day 2020–24, they could then make a verdance. 2024, after 1984, and have a new war zone map and a new verdance that takes place 40 years after the Black Ops Cold War version of verdance that we previously saw just an editor's note here, just as I'm going through the article.

I also forgot to mention that if they do this, it would also mean that the story for Black Ops G 4 could actually be a prequel to Black Ops 2 because it takes place in the year 2025, which would just be one year later. I think that would be a pretty cool thing if they updated all of the apartments.

The airport has updated all of the locations; now keep that in mind. I don't think there was a particularly fan-favorite season of Verance. Maybe I'm wrong. The only one that I could think would make sense would be the haunting of Verdance. I think that was probably everyone's favorite season, but I don't necessarily think that had to do with just the map being dark.

I think that particularly had to do with the zombie game mode that they implemented with that season, so could we be getting a night version of Verdansk in 2024? It is completely possible, but based on these rumors, what can we actually confirm? We can confirm that in 2024, the next Call of Duty game will be developed by Treyarch; it'll be a Black Ops game most likely called Black Ops Golf 4; when the season 1 integration comes out, it will most likely be Verance; that is our new war zone map, and that will be absolutely huge.

Not to mention, this next Call of Duty game, this next Treyarch game, is going to be developed for four years, which means we should get the biggest campaign, the biggest multiplayer, and the biggest changes that we have ever seen in a Call of Duty game. Not to mention, it's a Treyarch game. So, based on all of this information, what are your thoughts?

I think a lot of people thought we were going to be getting it this year, but it still appears that we will be getting it in 2024, just not until the very end of 2024, so that is all of the information we have for now.

I just wanted to make a quick article filling you guys in on what came out today and what's going on with Dan. I think it'll be huge for Call of Duty, specifically War Zone, if this actually happens.
