News - The Huge Warzone 2 Ui Overhaul Revealed. New Bundle Demo Feature & More
Now, my heart does go out to everybody today who was affected by the unfortunate layoffs that were put in place by Sony. So as of right now, you know 2024 is only a good 2 and a half months in; there's been over 7, 000 layoffs in the gaming industry. It's absolutely disgusting. I don't know what's going on with the world lately, but it's just really sad to see because it really hurts morale for those out there who want to get into the gaming industry.
Another walking dead crossover in 2024?
In the foreseeable future, this is just really harmful all the way around, and I'm sure you guys probably feel the same way, but With that just jumping into a quick detonated tweet for those out there that are familiar with The Walking Dead, there's a collab going on right now between Cod and that show and the ones who live spin-off, which just premiered a couple of days ago over on AMC.
There is a pretty cool outfit from the show, the CRM, Soldier Look for Rick Grimes, that would actually make for a perfect cosmetic. Inside Call of Duty, of course. I do feel confident that we'll see another Walking Dead collab for Call of Duty, maybe with next year's Black Ops title, and I'm just hoping that they introduce a free way you can unlock a variant look for Rick.
Besides just buying the one in the bundle, I think it would be cool to get an opportunity to do a couple of challenges and to get a free version of Rick Grimes. But that gets me thinking: there should also be a free way we can earn Cod points. I think that's the one flaw with the bundle system. Aside from the price increase, I'm fully aware of the bundle inflation we've been seeing over the past few months, but a huge flaw is not being able to earn Cod points for free.
Earning free cod points in the future
I mean, I'm aware that if you go ahead and complete a battle pass, you can get 1,00 Cod points or more, depending on whether you get black cells back, which you can then use on bundles in the shop. I'm aware of that, but how cool would it be if every so often, or maybe by beating eight weeks worth of weekly challenges?
You can get like 500 or 1, 000 Cod points, or possibly even more. To me, that would just really make up for the bundle inflation a little bit. Bundles shouldn't be as expensive as they are, but it would be cool if there was a way we could earn Cod points for free by doing challenges. We have a tweet over on Detonated mentioning that Hell Diverse 2 allows you to earn its currency by finding it in game or in the free battle pass system; that would just be phenomenal for the Call of Duty franchise, and it brings me back to Black Ops 4 a little bit and how that game had free battle passes with every major title update.
So I'm not saying battle passes have to be free, but at least providing us with a way to get CAD points so that some of the more expensive bundles are more accessible to more people in the community would be something great. Carry forward content in cod 2024 rumor
Now there is a rumor going around right now that apparently the John Doe black cell skin, which just came out with season 2 of Modern Warfare 3, will be usable in Black Ops 2024. Now here's the thing, like I mentioned before on the podcast: I don't think Harry Forward should be a feature for the next Black Ops game, if anything at all.
I wouldn't mind it if, at the very least, we got the blacka operators and the crossover operators that became usable inside of the next Black Ops. That would be it. I would not want to see any weapons blueprints or any other features from MW2 or 3 usable inside of the next Black Ops multiplayer; obviously, all that content will probably be transferable into the next iteration of War Zone anyway, but when it comes to Black Ops for the games multiplayer, at least in zombies.
I wouldn't want to see anything from Modern Warfare, but with this rumor that John Doe apparently is playable in the next Black Ops. I think people out there might be taking that rumor a bit out of context since I do believe what was on the mind was the fact that animations with John Doe are also in Black Ops 2024.
Huge overhaul coming to cod hq item shop
That could just mean that animations we see in the next Black Ops game are similar to the ones or are the exact same as the ones that were used for the joho operator but that could still mean that it's an exclusive operator for Modern Warfare and war zone right now but now when it comes to the meat and potatoes here there is a huge rumor going around that a bundle shop overhaul is coming to Modern Warfare 3 or maybe a feature that we see in Black Ops 2024, not even Modern Warfare 3 but leakers are claiming a number of new features coming to the item shop which may end up turning into a whole UI overhaul so as of now there's a number of different store sections which provide a lot of transparency for those out there that were looking for I think there's more clarity with the in-game UI for Call of Duty HQ, so let's run through all of these store selections here so there's going to be best sellers to raise your rank, master.

Preview blueprints in game before purchase

I do want to mention that there was a feature that got leaked out many months ago that I believe was meant to be in Modern Warfare 2 but never came out, and that is the ability to preview in-game blueprints without actually owning them, so being able to go into the bundle shop, grab a bundle that's available now, and be able to play around with it in the firing range—that's a feature that I think goes above and beyond the ability to already preview in-game tracers while in the bundle shop.
It would be really cool to get your hands on something before you pay money for it.
