News - The Boys X Warzone 2 Season 1 Event Is Bigger Than We Thought. Early Preview, New Operators, Rewards

dkdynamite

This is DK Dynamite, and today we're going to be talking about some exciting updates about the boys event coming to MW3, season 1. Drop a like, and also, as a reminder, we got plenty of brand new coverage going up over on detonated dcom, expanding on all the content you're seeing here on the channel, just in the form of articles for the website and plenty of tweets every hour on detonated Twitter.

With that, this celebrate 20 years of Call of Duty over the holidays. Sony did confirm that they're setting out Double XP tokens for players to use in Modern Warfare 3 and even War Zone. Be sure to check your email from PlayStation to ensure that you received the token. That's, of course, if you have a PSN account linked with your Activision. Then you would have automatically gotten one of these emails, but I made a article talking about the boys prior to the reveal of season 1 about three plus weeks ago or whatnot.

There were several leaks that we're also going to recap here in this article about the upcoming Boys collaboration with Modern Warfare 3.

It's the second time that we've seen Call of Duty collaborate again with a certain property. The first time was with Snoop Dogg; we saw him with COD Ghost Vanguard and MW2, and then, of course, that carried forward into MW3. But besides one celebrity, this is like the first time that we're seeing Call of Duty collaborate with a series or group of characters yet again, which is really exciting.

I think the boys is a very fitting collab for Call of Duty, at least in my opinion, and mod Warfare 2 we got operator bundles diabolical camel challenges the temp V mode over in war zone and believe there were secret challenges to do in that LTM, then there were some map updates around vondal but as of now popularity couldn't be stronger with the boys we have a trailer for season 4 I think the release date for that's probably early spring; we just saw the conclusion of the Gen V spin-off, and yeah.

I think right now, the boys are at their absolute peak for the entire industry. Now, if you're looking to buy some of the MW3 promo rewards, like the ones for Monsters or Little Caesars, or if you need cam grinding assistance, check out u4gm with the link down. Below.

With that on the road map for season 1 of MW3, it does confirm two operators and a souped-up MW3. LTM, but doesn't mention an LTM for war zone at all, so unless it's going to come as a surprise. I think this time around the collaboration is just for multiplayer. So I think that's fair for those out there who maybe wanted that during the MW2 collab and didn't get it, but the recent block post also confirms the midseason, so I guess this confirms a release date on what January 17th was.

Season One Reloaded brings even more content to the store, including the addition of two more characters from the TV series The Boys. Your favorite returning soups from the boys homeland, Starlight and Black Noir, are joined by newcomers, a train, and even a firecracker.

If you're wondering if that means what it might imply, then we'll get back to that in a second, but starting off with the A train operator bundle, it does mention that you will get two weapon blueprints featuring special tracers: the turbocharge.

AR, and the fast AF SMG. So off your allegiance to the seven, here comes the eight train animated calling card, the Atra weapon sticker, the Turbo Rush energy drink weapon charm, the world's fastest man animated emblem, the boy on a train loading screen, and the fastest man in the world finishing his move. I'm really excited to see how that finishing move Works some type of Mortal Kombat type of fatality, as if you were playing as the flash right, so I guess something like You've seen in Injustice, that's pretty exciting, but then it does they join the battle as a new soup in town with the firecracker operator skin a new character that we're going to be seeing in season 4 The bundle features two weapon blueprints featuring special tracers.

The Smoking Gun AR and the fellow Patriots lmg. Prove your worth against the more established shops by displaying the Truth Bomb animated calling card, a firecracker, and a weapon sticker. The second protects the weapon charm, the eagle-eyed animated emblem, and the freedom of speech finishing move.

It's pretty bold of them to release an operator skin for a character that we haven't even seen on the small screen yet, and I'm assuming that's probably a cool agreement between Amazon and Call of Duty here to promote season 4 and to promote a brand new character, they got a bundle for her here in Call of Duty.

Re release of homelander, noir & starlight

I'm really excited to see this one in game, but for those who are wondering, are they going to re-release Homeland, Black No. 1, and even Storite? The answer, at least to me right now, is yes. Not only is it implied from that blog post that yeah, you're going to be joining Black Noir. Starlite, and Homelander, which kind of means to me that they're going to re-release them in the item shop, although that could just mean joining them if you bought them from Modern Warfare 2.

I'm happy to tell you guys that the leakers out there did find updated store icons for these characters, especially Black Noir, and I know the updated icon is a bit suspenseful and probably unfinished. But without going too far into that conversation, I think that's really cool for those out there who maybe missed out on these crossover bundles during MW2.

What was season 4 reloaded? I think it makes sense to release them. I mean, they are quote-unquote MW2 operators, but now they'll be considered MW3 operators, even though it doesn't really matter since we have carry forward. But I think that's amazing for those out there who want to collect all five characters from the Amazon show.

Free alternate skins for the boys?

Free alternate skins for the boys?

I mean. Starlight of course has a second outfit from the show if you guys are Ware. I think it would have been cool if maybe through a challenge event or even a boys-themed battle pass you could get alternate looks for these characters for free so that there is an alternate way to get your hands on these people without having to buy the operator bundles, and if you're like.

Wait, what alternate looks have we gotten? Maybe some type of cell-shaded, graphic novel-type look for the characters similar to some cell-shaded skins we've gotten before in games like Black Ops Cold War. I think that would have been cool, but again, I understand the route they went with this, and even if you don't agree with it, I think that's probably the way they're going to do it going forward.

They probably won't ever use free methods to get your hands on several crossover skins.
