Those patch notes mentioned that it would be a part of the playlist update, but if you booted up your game after the patch, you'd see that it wasn't there. Raven did clarify that third-person Battle Royale trios were mistakenly included in the playlist schedule for this week, however. While it's not going to be back this week, it is going to be coming back in a future playlist update, so have no fear if you are a fan of the Third person mosh pitter the third person playlist for Warzone; it's not gone forever.
It is just an LTM, which obviously means that it's going to be back in the future, as Raven says in their tweet, but then it's going to be removed again, added back again later on, and then removed again. It's just a simple LTM cycle that we're going to see throughout the year alongside the other LTM modes that we'll see debut over time, so there's some confirmation here.
Officially, third-person Battle Royale is not gone forever and it will be back here soon, so yeah, with all that being said, that's effectively going to wrap things up for this one.
