News - Wtf. This Season 1 Reloaded Update Is Cancelled For Warzone 2. Dmz. Returns. New Rewards Leaked

breaking news

This is DK Dynamite, and today we're going to be discussing a shocking update that's canceled for season one reloaded and how DMZ is practically back. Earlier this morning, we did our first ever Saturday morning bombshell podcast. Typically, the podcast is streamed live every Friday, but due to some unfortunate scheduling conflicts yesterday, we had to push that episode back until today.

Going forward, we're still going to be having episodes every Friday at around 1:00 p.m. Central, and the show always goes on for about 2 hours. Plenty of really exciting episodes of the podcast are coming up over the next couple of months. 2024 is off to a really good start, though the recent episode is going to be linked.

I did mention that the spirit of DMZ still lives on through Modern Warfare 3 zombies and even features that were initially confirmed for the mid-season 1 update, such as a weapon case and something called a cover Xville now for those out there that are like that. Wait, why don't they just continue supporting DMZ?

They probably could, but maybe the player count got a bit low, or they figured. Hey, the mode itself wasn't generating revenue, the DMZ benefit bundles weren't enough, and it was of course free to play through War Zone, so all those factors put together might have made the higher-ups say. You know what?

It's just not worth supporting this mode anymore, even though I personally really enjoyed covering the MZ over the course of Modern Warfare 2's life cycle. I hope to see its return maybe in the Infinity WS next title, which is likely to be 2026. Hopefully it comes back, but as of now it's not looking very likely, but I am still a fan of them bringing in features from DMZ and incorporating them a little bit differently across other experiences.

So just around a day ago.

This season 1 reloaded update is cancelled??

We believe that Cover Xville and the gameplay loop it provides, paired with the weapon case, will make for an exciting addition to War Zone. That said, we'll instead launch both of these features in an upcoming dedicated mode. We're looking forward to the new challenges that these features will provide and to your continued feedback.

Once the mode is available, for those out there who had hoped that they would at least leave the weapon case in BR, maybe you grab it and it counts as collected. That's not going to happen. Both of these features are going to be in a dedicated mode, maybe even a limited-time one. At some point, there's no release date that is implied about this mode at all. I don't feel like it's going to be a mode that is going to be ready as soon as January 17th, but maybe it will be, and that'll be great to ensure that season one reloaded isn't a bit of a letdown for both zombies and War Zone, but in all honesty.

I don␙t understand this decision from raven

I'm confused about the statement when they say your feedback on Cobt Xville.

What feedback is there when the feature hasn't even been released yet? It would just provide more content.

The warzone weapon case & how it␙s supposed to work

Once found, the player holding the case is marked for all enemies in the match if a player holding the case manages to stay alive at the end of the match or their squad exits using cover xville.

They and their teammates earn exclusive rewards. So here's the thing: if they're going to not incorporate this only into an LTM or even if it's a permanent mode regardless, you know how much harder it's going to be to go in this case. I wonder how many players will be allowed in that mode because, for an experience like War Zone with 100+ people, it already wasn't going to be an easy task, especially on a good day or two after the content drops.

If we go ahead and grind these cases, there'll be significantly more players than we've ever seen in the DMZ. Going after a case at once on top of being marked on the tack map, then trying to xville while defending yourself until that helicopter comes—that was already going to be a challenge that not many squads, if any at all, were even going to go for.

After the launch of season one, it was reloaded but could have made for really cool content updates every new season.

Covert exfil & why it wasn␙t ever a problem

Covert exfil & why it wasn␙t ever a problem

Here's what they mentioned, right? Players can xill the match early with the help of a covert one, with only five xils available to purchase per match for a high price in buy stations before the goolag closes a cover. Xville calls in a helicopter that can fly any player out of the match, ideally with the weapon case in their possession.

Players can also compete to earn the most successful cover, Xville, with the new cover, Xville leaderboard, and stats. So for those that were like. It's a cheap win, it's going to inflate the leaderboards for victories, that was never going to be the case from day one; they were already going to have a separate stat for this feature, which is excellent.

So I'm really confused as to what the complaints even were for a feature that wasn't even added in yet, and they could have treated this like temp V from the boys event last year in War Zone, where they released.

How they should␙ve released this content

The content was promised as planned, and then, following feedback, they made adjustments.

What I'm saying is that what they could have done is have this in regular BR like temp V last year and see if it gets received poorly or if they change up the pacing to where it's altering player behavior. Then go ahead and incorporate this new content in a separate mode, and they could have done that for the launch of season 2, not make this adjustment, before even the launch of Reloaded just because of a couple of mean tweets.

I'm really confused as to why this happened, but this is where the jokes come in. They mentioned that now they're going to have a dedicated mode for this feature, which to me might already be problematic, but here's where the jokes come in. Just call it.
