News - Warzone 2 Zombies Season 2 Is A Joke - No New Content At Launch

modern warfare 3 zombies

I'm Mr golden Gamer, and I make gaming articles that nobody watches. The Modern Warfare 3 season 2 road map came out a couple of days ago, including updates for multiplayer. War Zone, and zombies, but in this article. I'm exclusively going to be talking about the zombies updates. We just hit 700 subscribers, and we're on our way to 1, 000, so if you like Call of Duty, I have tons of content planned for season 2 and beyond, as well as some other FPS gaming content.

If you're interested in that type of thing, I'd love to have you on board. The big news story here is that there will be no zombie content at the launch of season 2. All of the updates for the Modern Warfare Zombies game mode will be coming in the mid-season update, despite the whole season having a zombie theme with The Walking Dead crossover.

And to go even farther with this, the trailer for Fortune's Keep showed zombies and stuff, so zombie fans naturally thought we're going to be able to play Modern Warfare Zombies on Fortune's Keep. This is going to be great, but it turns out that they just added some zombies to War Zone, which is not really what zombie fans want.

modern warfare 3 zombies gameplay

Zombie fans want to play zombies; they don't want to play War Zone with a couple of zombies in it, so it definitely feels like a slap in the face, especially because it sure looked like they were teasing in that trailer that Fortune's Keep would be a new map for Modern Warfare zombies, and that's just not the case, so let's talk about what will be coming to the Modern Warfare Zombies mode, and again, all of these things that I'm about to mention are coming with the midseason update, but none of them are coming it launch the dark ether story act continues.

In season 2, strike teams from Operation Dead Bull continue to confront terrifying transdimensional anomalies. New secrets await in the Exclusion Zone, and tensions are heightened this time as Terminus outcomes have followed your teams into the rift. Thankfully, an expert will be guiding you, Sergey Renov.

Battle alongside the rest of the squad, completing a series of dangerous tasks, and fight your way out of the dark ether before it is too late, so it looks like you're going to have these like DMC's that will follow you. The dark ether and someone shooting at you while you're trying to do all this stuff sound like an absolute blast.

I'm sure that's going to be a good time anyway. Moving on to the second Rift, a new story mission with new terrors lurking within the dark ether awaits you. You will utilize a variety of redacted information. During the investigation of a second RI, alarming aberrations abound in this new maze as a mysterious entity makes her presence known to Ravenol and the team while they frantically search for an exit from the RI, earn coveted rewards, follow cryptic clues, and complete time tasks all while facing down the largest infested stronghold yet seen.

Is this going to be just like all the other strongholds? Another note I have is that is this story Mission the same thing from the first bullet point are there actually, is this all one the second Rift and the story The mission mentioned above is the same thing I don't know; it seems like it kind of is there are new challenges.

modern warfare 3 zombies update

As with season 1, your prestige player level unlocks more challenges to complete, and with additional calling cards to unlock, there will be new schematics to unlock as well. The first is mags of holding, who have time to reload, not you if you've activated the mags of holding, which allows your ammunition to feed directly from your weapons ammo stash, essentially eliminating the need to reload.

I like the sound of that. Then there's a blood burner key schematic; there's no need to scavenge for the blood burner Wonder vehicle on the map. If you're carrying the blood burner key, it's simple to use it to summon the possessed two-wheeler. Without a long search beforehand, there is a new schematic for the VR11 wonder weapon.

Those Strike Team operators planning on forming their own temporary Regiment of Undead friends or transformed humans can now take the vr11 wonder weapon into important outings thanks to the schematic. After that, we have a new warlord, called Carr, and this warlord set up her fortress in the kill house at Orlov military base.

She's known as a deadly and elusive chemical warfare specialist, and her defenses should be approached with extreme caution. Expect the exterior to be well fortified with soldiers, snipers, turrets, and traps, as well as poison gas grenades. It would be wise to bring gas masks to the fortress. Only the first challenge once inside expects visibility issues as the car's new gas compound hangs in the air throughout the facility, disrupting almost all sensors, including thermal weapons.

Perhaps there's a way to counteract this expectation by utilizing conventional weapons as well as poisonous smoke screens. Counting on her numerous bio weapons to choke you out, it's going to take teamwork to box her and eliminate her. So I don't know about you guys, but I don't want to fight these people as zombies; I just don't care.

mw3 season 2 zombies

I want to kill zombies. I don't want to kill warlords, soldiers, or anyone with guns, to be quite honest with you. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way, but aside from that, these things aren't super easy, and the rewards from them are pretty lackluster. Man, you don't get very much from defeating these Warlords, so I just don't see the point in doing that whenever you could just do Tier 3 contracts or Dark Eternity contracts and get all your schematics.

I don't know if it's not for me; I don't know who really enjoys it, but it's just dumb in my eyes. That's it there's just not a lot of content for Modern Warfare Zombies in season 2, even once we hit that mid-season update, and I can't say I'm too surprised. It's been very obvious from the beginning that Modern Warfare Zombies is really a filler game mode, as Modern Warfare 3 as a game is kind of just a filler.

It was originally going to be the Modern Warfare 2 year 2 expansion. But it turned into a standalone game, and it's really obvious whenever you look at Modern Warfare Zombies. On the war zone map, we are using most of the gameplay mechanics of DMZ from last year, and they just kind of threw a pack-a-punch through perk machines and have these zombie-themed contracts on there.

I don't think they expected this game mode to be as popular as it is, and they didn't plan the support for it. I'm assuming it was Treyarch who developed this. Most of the people who were responsible for Modern Warfare Zombies were probably a very small team. They probably have transitioned to working on the next game, which is next year's game going to be Treyarch Call of Duty, and they're all hands-on deck at this point.
