News - Huge Warzone 2 Zombies Season 2 Content Update. New Exclusion Zone, Pvp Mode, More - Warzone 2
Mw3 zombies x warhammer crossover event
Welcome back to a brand new article. In this one, we're going to go over everything that you need to know in regards to the Modern Warfare 3 zombie season 2 update. We have around a week and a half until this update fully goes live, and you're probably wondering what type of zombie content is scheduled.
We have a lot of different leaks and a lot of new content that has been teased to be releasing, and that's what we're going to be covering and going over in today's article. Just a quick reminder: I did post a couple of articles in regards to season 2. I've loaded the full season 2 overview. We talked about the battle pass, and we also even talked about the upcoming events, and one of them is Warhammer 40K, surprisingly.
It has some ties to zombies. There were some medals found in the files for some sort of upcoming limited-time mode. They sort of match the zombie-type style that we have going on already. This might be the first crossover event that will actually tie zombies in with new exclusive content and things that maybe you can only get in Zombies.
Treyarch no longer working on mwz
Although it seems like there's a lot of leaks coming out for season 2, there is some bad news that I want to talk about first, and it's looking like Treyarch is no longer supporting Modern Warfare 3 zombies. At least that studio is no longer working on it. We know that when they started the development of Modern Warfare 3 zombies, they were oversighted by Infinity W, which is why I guess they didn't like the round base and they wanted to make a completely different experience than the actual Treyarch game zombies and the round base zombies that are going to be introduced.
Later on down the line in 2024, with Gul War and Alex posting, he said it's probably already known, but Treyarch has little to no involvement in Modern Warfare Zombies anymore. The focus has been shifted to Cod 2024. It's not 100% certain which group has taken over this project; it could either be Infinity Ward or Raven.
I also don't think it's going to impact the amount of content that we are going to actually receive. When it comes to these types of things, they know exactly what they're going to release. They have a blueprint that is set months and months down the line for the entire life cycle of Call of Duty, so it doesn't matter which studio is working on it; they have the same blueprint that they will follow anyway.
Mw3 zombies containment level feature (exfil streak rewards)
The first piece of new content that we have is going to be xfill streaks. We have something called containment, or levels. It says to raise your containment level, complete contracts, and xfill to raise your containment level for your operator, and as a result, you will gain access to special rewards.
It says to increase your containment level to start each deployment with bonuses that give you an extra advantage on the battlefield, so this is what the splash screen is going to look like when it's officially added to the game. It's expected to release with this upcoming update of season 2, but remember, these are leaks.
None of this is official information. Anything could happen when it comes to them; they could be scrapped; they could be delayed. We will get the official information this Wednesday with Call of Duty's official road map. Anyway, we got some other photos. Here's an example we have. Izzy says Strike Team operator Izzy containment level is at zero, so starting out at the very beginning, they tell you to reach containment level two to unlock this next reward tier, which is starting the game with 500 Essence, and to do that, you are required to complete a contract and then XFI to get the level two rewards.
From my understanding, the number on the top right is how many contracts you need to complete in order to get the X rewards, so you can't just spam one contract xfill and one contract xfill and continuously keep getting the xfill streaks. You got to put in a little bit more work, so you got to complete the contract, so 2 5 8 12, 20 Then it's 30, then 40, then 50, then 75, and then 100.
Also, because these were leaked, it doesn't even seem like they're finished. If you look at the bottom, it says completing a contract is required to earn your next XFI streak, but then they mention Building 21 and CET complex X Fields as always counting, and as you know, those are DMZ locations, and we know that this was a feature that was introduced in DMZ, and they're bringing it into zombies.
If you look at the last one, it says $20 off a pack-a-punch, which makes no sense at all. It will get updated before it officially releases, but considering it's already in the game and leakers were able to find the splash screens, it's probably almost ready.
New elite alien zombie gargoyle & bounty target
There's also a season 2 Elite Zombie that has been leaked. shout out to the office cot for this footage. We did talk about this in the past, but it looks like an alien gargoyle from Ghost Extinction.
I've already seen them recycle Elite zombies, such as the one that mimics the zombie from other past Call of Duty titles, so this one is really no big surprise. But he mentioned that this will be a new season 2 enemy or boss, and it will be a bounty target as well. It should work very similar to the regular bounty target that we have, where it will spawn like a mimic, a decipher, or one of those, and then you'll have to go and hunt it down.
We're not entirely sure which tier area it'll be available in; it will only be in tier three. There's not really much information other than the footage that I'm showcasing. But this might be something that we will also get at the start of season 2. Also, just a reminder that this can be an elite zombie for a completely different location.
If you guys recall, we are expecting to see Fortune keep added sometime in season 2, very similar to how it was in DMZ every single time we got a brand new map.
New exclusion zone & act 5 missions
For example, when they introduced Asika Island, this turned into a new exclusion zone, and there were areas that we were able to explore, including a brand new boss, a brand new weapon case, and a whole lot of different contracts.
And it was just a completely different experience than playing it on the standard Al Mazra map, so this time around it could be the same exact way here, and that brings us on to the next topic, which is the new exclusion zone. We know that whenever this new map gets added, it's not confirmed if it'll be season 2 or 3, but whenever it does get added, there is more than likely a chance that we get the Act 5 mission, as previously stated.
