News - Huge New Warzone 2 Zombies Season 2 Secrets & Wonder Weapon Changes

modern warfare 3

Season 2 just dropped for Modern Warfare 3 zombies, and whilst there's no new content until the reloaded update has exclusive details from Tryo via a Creator call I was part of a few days ago going over some of the significant changes coming to zombies throughout the season, including major wonder weapons.

With buffs and answers to some of the biggest questions we have for them, such as increasing stash size and new enemies and perks coming down the road, you're going to want to make sure you watch all of the articles so you don't miss out on any details. Let's first go over all of the new content coming for season 2 reloaded and how that's going to work when you finish downloading the season 2 update.

Initial new content that you can dive into for MWZ. Is the new game-wide horde hunt event this is lasting for 4 weeks and this can be done inside of zombies as well as multiplayer and War Zone where by killing zombies you will collect bones that will unlock specific Modern Warfare Zombies, items, every week there will be a specific Target for you to find and take down that will be the featured zombie skull and the examples given are armored zombies hellhounds, and mimics by taking them down each week that will unlock a new spefic specific cosmetic, and by completing the event over the 4 weeks by collecting Bones from normal zombies and featured zombie skulls from the featured hvts, you'll be able to earn the killshot operator skin now we don't know what that looks like but according to the developers it's a pretty cool skin One of the other notable changes that we'll notice straight away with season 2 is that the Wonder Weapons actually got significant buffs, specifically the ray gun and the scure, and we have some pretty detailed stats to go over as to how improved these weapons are.

Starting with the ray gun, the damage has been increased for both the base weapon and when pack-a-punched. This is an absolutely fantastic change, but one of the other issues with the ray gun from launch is that it simply shoots too slowly, especially when compared to its counterparts in other zombie games.

R has heard this feedback, and they have made the ray gun faster to shoot with the base projectile speed being increased by 60%, and when the ray gun is pack-a-punched, it will now shoot at 110% faster on top of that. Tri has also reduced the damage the ray gun will deal to its owner, meaning that in situations where you don't have a PhD Flopper and you need to shoot the ground, you will now enter a down state in 8 shots.

This is going to make the ray gun so much more viable as an actual weapon to be using all the time, and I'm really happy with these changes, but Treyarch is also buffing the scorcher quite significantly. They're really happy with the utility and mobility that the weapon gives you, but the damage portion is not effective enough to be used in some of the higher-end experiences.

There's a lot of general damage. With buffs going in, it's now going to be easier to charge up and fire, and it's going to be quicker to charge up and fire. They've also significantly buffed the direct impact plasma damage as well as the lingering plasma damage, so specifically, the direct impact plasma damage has been increased by.

333, and the lingering plasma damage has been increased by. 428, which is a huge number. The lingering plasma length and diameter have now increased with each charge, and the duration of the lingering plasma has also been adjusted. The lingering plasma dam damage duration for the initial charge is now being decreased from 2 seconds to.

5 seconds, and the duration of how long the damage lasts has now been increased by 1 second with each charge. These changes are all designed to make this a more viable weapon to use in dark EA Rifts. Jumping into the majority of the new season 2 content, of course we're getting that new story mission.

Another anomaly will be appearing in Ersan, and this time Terminus outcomes got there before we did, so now we're kind of running an interception. Team Mission with Renov, to go in there and stop Terminus outcomes from doing whatever they're planning on doing in there, and once we've gone through and completed that story mission, it will then allow us, the players, to discover how to get back into the next AR for RI.

This is going to be something that is up to us, the players, to solve, so it'll be very similar to the Easter request to unlock the season 1 Rift, but Kevin Drew from Tryo did go on record to say that the location of the next star ke for Rift is one that's very iconic for zombie LW in general, not necessarily for their zombies, but a really cool location that's a lot of fun to play in, so what exactly did he mean by that?

I don't quite know. You'll be able to get these items as acquisitions or rewards, but if you want to permanently unlock them via getting the schematic, you'll have to do it via the hard version of this Rift, so that mechanic with the sigil and the Elder sigil sounds like they are going to be returning and going over the new schematics.

The vr11 Wonder Weapon schematic is very straightforward; it is what it sounds like, but with the mags of holding, we now know some more details about it. Once you've activated it within a match, it makes it so your stock ammo combines with the magazine ammo, so essentially, you never have to reload any weapon within that game session, unfortunately.

It doesn't work with W weapons, but what it does do is significantly buff every other weapon to make them super usable. Within in the end game so I'm really intrigued to see how that's going to work and with the blood burner key it will summon a blood burner vehicle on demand so you'll have a lot of agency, at the start of a match to ride around the world in style and then as we all know there is also a new warlord called carries is going to be coming but I doubt there's many of you that are that interested in the new warlord Edition to the map just like with doabe this will be a warlord which will be the focus within the mode for about a week or so then after that all the Warlords will be in a rotation, now at the end of the Creator call we got to ask questions to any of the teams on the game and me and Chopper specifically were asking quite a few hard-hitting zombies questions The first question is if there's any plan for new zombie enemy types and perks to be added down the road for MWZ.

And the response we got was that there are no current plans, so definitely not quite the response that any of us were expecting. We then asked if the Tombstone glitch was going to be patched into zombies, and Kevin said that we are constantly going after any glitches related to Tombstone. He wasn't sure of the exact status of the patch notes right now, but they are actively looking into fixing any glitches to do with that perk.
