News - Warzone 2: These Are The New Weapons Of Season 3 Reloaded
So we've got a seasonal update coming next week to round us into the back half of season 3, and with it, we know of a bunch of different content, including more maps and more war zone changes, some, and I say with emphasis on some, zombies content, but in this I wanted to discuss a bit more about what's to come in regards to the weaponry on offer for Moder Warfare 3's multiplayer, and by extension, war zone as well, so as we go along, drop your thoughts.
For full-on, new functional weaponry, we actually only have one additional entry into the armory with this update. The rest are a handful of other adjustments coming in the way of aftermarket parts, and a few really good ones at that, I think, but functional brand new weapons.
The return of the bal-27 in modern warfare 3 season 3 reloaded
We have the ball 27, and yes, as mentioned in a prior article, I'm sticking with that pronunciation. It's how developers have pronounced it all the way back in advanced warfare, how they've recently done it in dev calls, and so on, so fight me anyway.
The ball has 27 levels to rank up through here, and this one is described as a Bullpup prototype weapon designed to increase fire rate over time while the trigger is squeezed. The first four shots are slower to fire but highly accurate. Detailed further by saying it's a top loading with reasonable rapid ammo swap fast firing futureproof assault rifle shreds at close ranges, a moderate kick that drifts upward, offers great default reticles, and comes with a 60-round magazine once you've leveled it up, doubling the ammo available between reloads.
Now this is going to be unlocked via redacted, which we know by now means that it's in the extra battle pass sector that unlocks at midseason. As evidenced by the prior few seasons and introductions, midseason we'll see the sector open up where there'll be five additional challenges you have to complete where unlike a standard sector you can't just use tokens on this instead it's a challenge based system where you'll have a few rewards a new aftermarket part for the Moors as we'll touch on in a second and ultimately the ball 27 to unlock now completing all five of those smaller tier challenges will unlock the ability to do that ball 27 weapon challenge to unlock that and once completed, it's all yours so a few extra steps here to unlocking this at midseason, it's a bit more tedious for sure in compared to other introductions like the tack evolver.
I'd be okay with this being actually like just an armory unlock because then you have daily challenges to work towards that and also you can win matches to count towards that as well, so it''s a lot quicker. I personally think, but depending on what the challenges are, maybe not anyways very excited for the to be returning, it's one of my favorites in the rifle category, probably like the top 10 or maybe the top five all-time rifles for me, and with the rest of the cast of Weaponry like the mo on the season being an advanced warfare throwback.
I dig the return of that as well, fitting the theme of it overall. I'm really curious to see how this will come in the weapon meta, where it'll rank mostly in the war zone. Honestly, most weapons in MP are pretty viable and competitive because of the lower health comparatively, but I'm curious to see where this stacks up or if it becomes one of the go-tos.
If it carries out those same properties as described, like the advanced Warfare variant having a slower fire rate at its first four rounds and then getting faster over time, it'll be interesting because it's like an inverse of the SVA, which is a faster fire rate on those initial rounds where you can almost like hyper burst it, so definitely interested to see and get my hands on with this, but honestly, another AR, a classic weapon. I'll probably like it no matter what, though those are some famous last words I've ever heard.
The aftermarket parts of modern warfare 3 season 3 reloaded
But anyways, that's your new introduction in the Weaponry category as again, a brand new weapon, but again, aftermarket parts are an interesting edition this year, in which, while they may not be functional weapons, they change the weapon enough that, in some cases, it can almost be just not listed as a new weapon.
We recently saw the introduction of the Jack Revenger kit, where that was added in as a BP50 alteration that offered a 60-round 9mm caliber conversion.
The jak patriot m16 aftermarket part in modern warfare 3 season 3 reloaded
Which kind of made it like the Ripper from COD Ghosts, but only by a basic comparison, making it more of an SMG build than anything else, but we also have a few other introductions here coming at mid-season, still the Jack Patriot M16 conversion, the warden Lockwood Mark In the jack at kit and the photonic charge barrel for the Moors, now let's take a look at these a little further than the Jack Patriot M16 kit that's going to convert the M16 into a fully automatic rifle with a heavy ported barrel built to provide superior recoil control and firing aim stability, essentially making the M16 the M16 A1, and honestly, it might actually make it useful, or at the very least at the very least semi decent, because that was always what hindered the M16 in my opinion: burst delay mixed with the lower damage properties, especially with modern warfare 2's ttk.
You'd be dead before you could even get that second burst off most of the time in a head-to-head gunfight, so making this thing full auto is definitely going to be interesting. I'm really curious to see if this does anything in terms of usability or if it's kind of off or not. I'm kind of hoping it brings it back to a competitive state.
The wardens lockwood mk2 aftermarket part in modern warfare 3 season 3 reloaded
But we'll see the wardens for Lockwood Mark 2. You're going to relive the glory days. As it says, you can stir up The Hornet's Nest and take down your enemies, leaving no loose ends, with these museum-worthy akimbo lever action shotguns.
So if you couldn't tell by that description we're bringing back, probably some RA with this aftermarket part because it brings back the akimbo, 1887s, from Modern Warfare 2 in the way of the Mark I from Modern Warfare 2, and so listen. I don't think these are going to be as broken as they were back in 2009 just because that was a combination of truly bugs and damages that never got fixed because of the internal crumbling of Infinity Ward back in the day.
