News - New" Movement Update, Warzone 2 Private Match, More. Modern Warfare 2 Upcoming Updates
Welcome back to another news article that I have for you guys. They have actually given us some teases on what they're working on and what they're looking forward to doing, and their communication has been amazing, so they have been really communicating, talking, and letting us know what they are planning on doing, even going as far as doing Q&As with bigger creators and asking them what they want to see in the game.
So anyways, let's go over what they talked about in the last Q&A session they did. The first thing is that they are doing a huge focus on quality of life updates; that's like their key priority right now because they do understand the Warzone DMZ. Even multiplayer they are missing a lot of things.
PlayStation, or PC. match So in Warzone 2, they asked if there would be a private match feature, and they said yes, it would be introduced in 2023. They did not give a date or a time; they just said generally around 2023, which is when we will be expecting huge updates for Warzone and the DMZ, and the biggest one is the Resurgence map that we are going to be getting.
We are going to be getting it, which is more like a rebirth map, but anyway. The next thing that they told us was that they do plan on adding more buying stations. They said they feel like the buy station pacing is completely off; they feel like you have to run miles and miles to get to the nearest buy station, and a lot of times you get to the buy station and there's someone camping because there are just so few of them that people will just be sitting there waiting at the buy station waiting for you, and they feel like that's not really good for the pacing of the game, especially if people are just going to camp there do understand the whole pacing of the game even non-regarding.
Buy stations, it's a little slow in the middle, so it starts off, you know, dropping, loading, fighting people, and all that, and then it just slows down; it's just quiet for a very long time. Obviously, the movement isn't as fast; it's just slow. They also do believe the pacing is slow, so they will be adding some things to encourage and speed it up.
The next thing that we have is custom perks, so let's talk about custom perks in Warzone first. Off, they didn't even really work; they said they didn't even know about that, but now they are going to be working towards fixes and things like that because the ultimate perks, for some reason, did not work.
Another thing is that they said they do not plan on adding custom perks, so that way you will have to only use the default ones that they have available for you to use; you will not be able to create your own perk packages, if that makes sense, but The next thing is the movement. This is very important, and a lot of people have been talking about how they want more movement in Call of Duty.
They need a movement update. The game is way too slow; it doesn't even compare to War Zone One; it doesn't compare to the older cards, and they said they will be doing movement updates. They just don't feel that it should be as fast as it was in past Call of Duty games. They think that, for example, running while plating is the biggest question.
They said that they will be adding some sort of feature where you can run while plating, but it's not going to be full-on sprinting like you were able to do in War Zone 1, so you will be able to break down doors, you will be able to break through the glass, but you will not be full-on sprinting, but I feel like you should be able to do that especially if you're in situations where it's like a 2v4 or something like that.
If you get into one of those situations, it's very hard for you to come out alive, so giving you the option to run away would be a little bit better, but this is something they just pushed off to the future. They said, "Yeah, we're working on it, but we're not sure if we're going to add full-on movement anytime soon; we'll have to think about it and look into it." So that's basically what they said for movement.
Another thing is that this is for the DMZ. There's the backpack issue in DMZ, and they said they are working on fixing it, so usually whenever you kill a player and then you start looting them, if they leave the game, their backpack disappears. The other thing is the backpack issue in a war zone, where if you kill someone and they have like a large backpack or a medium backpack and you have a normal one, you can't really get a backpack from another player, and they feel like you should have the option to be able to upgrade your backpack, so if they had a medium backpack, you should be able to take the actual backpack and upgrade it itself, and that's something that they are also working on adding, so that's some good news for multiplayer.
I did make a couple articles on glitches that you can use to pretty much save blueprints. I'm really wondering if we're going to be receiving another update in January to pretty much keep us going all the way up until February, so I really do hope that we'd see another big update that will hopefully give us more content and keep us going all the way up until season two as of right now.
They didn't really mention anything about that overall, but I do feel like this is good news, although we're not seeing too much information being given to us as of right now. We are talking about it, they are taking notes, they are listening to feedback, and they're communicating very well. I think this is a good solid foundation for this Call of Duty being good, having good updates, and just overall remaining a very fun and enjoyable game because the biggest issue that I usually see with Call of Duty is that they tend to add, update, or remove things.
No one really ever had an issue with it, so for example, if something's working perfectly fine, I feel like they should leave it and focus on something else because the game is really broken. There are a lot of issues. There are a lot of things that they could be working on and putting effort into, but instead they're doing updates on things that don't need to be touched, for example, the muting system.
All you had to do was pull up the scoreboard and press square, and you'd end up muting the whole lobby. That was perfect. If you want to unmute some people, you can manually do that, but now they've added this feature where you have to click the same thing, and then there are additional menus that pop up, and then even more glitches pop up from that new feature they added; for example, when you're playing the game, you'll see people on the right or left side with their microphone moving, but they're not even in your lobby anymore, and it just stays like that until you restart your app.
