News - New Ashika Island Resurgence Mode: Everything You Need To Know Season 2 Of Warzone 2
Like all movement speeds, from sprint to fire times, are slightly faster; not by much, but the game feels a lot more fluid. And I feel like you can actually use movement to outplay your opponents now, at least slightly. It's definitely not the same as Rebirth Island, but if you miss that component of movement, it is a very small step towards having that feeling again.
One thing that was not adjusted was the TTK, or time to kill. It's still really fast, although everyone does start with a three-play advantage now, so at least you don't have to worry about finding one of these. Currently, the ttk has been my biggest frustration, as there are many times where I feel like I am positioned well; I'm behind cover; but I get shot out from the side by an unsuspected enemy, and I have absolutely zero time to react or even attempt to duck behind cover before I'm already downed and in quads on Ashika Island sometimes.
It feels overwhelming and frustrating at how easily and quickly you can go down a question that I've been asked a lot about recently: audio. They fix flipstep and audio, and the answer is kind of yes. It definitely seems like it was improved slightly, but it's far from perfect. There are plenty of times where you don't hear footsteps, but I also had plenty of moments where I did clearly hear an enemy was close by. As a side note, if you're on PC and have been using the loudness EQ setting, it does not work nearly as well in season two, and it's probably best to turn it off.

I might do an updated audio article in the future once I play around more, but for now I'm just using the home theater audio setting and I'm using Dolby Atmos.
AI or bots have not been present on Ashika Island thus far, although the patch notes make it seem like they will be there. There are no plans for strongholds or black sights on Ashika, but it seems like they will spawn during certain events or contracts. I felt like not having to deal with AI was great, and honestly, I hope they stay out of Resurgence, but we'll have to see what happens with them in the future.
Another question I was asked very frequently on stream was can you get a nuke in Resurgence like on Al mazura, well no one knows for sure yet but I can confirm that A5 win streak does not trigger any type of special contract like on almazra, because when the game launched we actually were able to go on a six-win streak.

Is by far the most fun I have had on Warzone 2 since it was released. We will be doing plenty of loadout articles and lots more settings, etc. here in the near future.
