Mw3 2024 content update road map!

Welcome back to a brand new article. I'm hoping you guys are having a wonderful New Year's holiday, and to celebrate that. I decided to make this article to cover the entire 2024 road map in terms of Call of Duty content, what to expect, and what has been revealed and leaked so far. Yesterday, we talked about the first 2024 update, which is going to bring in the vortex event potential patch notes and weapon balance changes.

But in this article, we want to focus on the other major updates, such as those coming months from now, weeks from now, and even later on towards the end of this year.

Upcoming seasonal content & warzone map

The very first title update that we are getting is going to be season 1 reloaded; that's coming in on January 17th. I've covered this already in multiple articles.

2024 road map

It's the first big title update that we're getting in 2024, which means that you will need to do some sort of big download, probably like 20 GB, and then that's going to be bringing in the content for that following that we're going to be jumping into season 2, and that will be releasing sometime in February.

We're not entirely sure which day it is as of right now. The countdown timer is not yet enabled since reloaded updates usually last around a month. You can expect it to be mid-February, so the 17th or 21st one of those Wednesdays will be when season 2 comes out. There's a couple of leaks as well as announcements that Call of Duty has made that we can expect.

In season 2, one of the first major ones is the return of Fortune Keep, which was actually announced during Codex; they said early 2024. And you know that Call of Duty is a company of habit; they like to follow the same patterns that they've been consistently doing. If you saw in Modern Warfare 2 that they introduced Aler in season 1, then when we jumped into season 2, they introduced Ashika Island, which was actually released on February 15th, 2023.

2024 update road map

And if you are expecting season 2 to take place around the 17th, which is just 2 days after that, it would make sense that will be when they introduce Fortune Keep now. I know many of you guys are probably wondering what's going to happen to Aika Island when Fortune keeps being added to the playlist.

Will it get removed like Al Mazra? It seems like, from Call of Duty's wording, I may be wrong. When they mentioned that the map was going to be coming back, they did say that this would be the widest variety that Call of Duty has ever offered in War Zone's history. You know that the rotation so far has always been three maps: one large, one medium, and one small.

And if they do break that pattern, that means they're going to be adding Fortune Skep, you have Asik Island, you have Vondo, you have Reer, and then later on, when they introduce the other maps, which I'll talk about in just a second, that's going to be adding even more to the variety of different war zone maps that you'll be able to play. The good news is that an entire season is not just going to be focused on one war zone map; there's going to be additional content.

Upcoming crossover operators & events

Upcoming crossover operators & events

For example, The Walking Dead has been leaked to have two brand new operators that are going to be coming in. They mentioned that Rick Grimes as well as Michael's names were in the files as upcoming operator skins.

Now I just want to point out that these leaks were way before season 1 even launched, and in those same exact files, they also mentioned that we would be getting Paul Atres and we would be getting Fade Rotha for a dune collaboration. And we'd also be getting a train and a firecracker. For the boys and it wasn't officially confirmed by Call of Duty until we jumped into the season 1 update and got the official road map and these leaks were weeks prior to this so it means that these are very credible leaks, and since we didn't see The Walking Dead it makes sense that they're going to be actually adding them in season 2 because if you take a look there's a show coming out called the ones who live which is a part of The Walking Dead Universe the two main characters in the show are Rick Grimes as well as Michonne which are the same two operators that are going to be releasing, and the show is releasing on February 25th which is around the release of the Season 2 update so it means that we could potentially see a collaboration, now even though they're coming in it doesn't guarantee what type of event we will be receiving so they could just be in the store and it could be like the Dune event where there's minor stuff that you can get just by gaining XP, and then you'll be able to gain a sort of camo or if it's like the boys where there's different modes you're going to be able to play different ltms.

If there's actual challenges that you'll need to complete rather than just gaining XP, and if there's even better rewards, we'll find out a little bit more detail on that once we get closer. And just a reminder: this is solely based on leaks, so this could get scrapped at any point. Call of Duty can change their mind.

Maybe something doesn't pan out and they can just scrap it and bring in an entire different event, so take it with a grain of salt. Speaking of potential rumors and leaks There's also another potential event that can take place, and that is the Godzilla, Kong event, that one we saw in the OG War Zone 1.

I noticed that there's a likely chance that it could actually come back again. There is a Godzilla: Kong movie that's going to be coming out in the month of April, which could be a very good date for them to introduce this type of event. This will more than likely be around season 3, and we do know that they do collaborations.

I have a couple of reasons why it might be Godzilla. I'm still gathering information, and I'm going to make a dedicated article regarding that, but there is a finishing move that we saw in the OG War Zone one that came as a part of this event, and then it's also now in the files of the game, and leakers are able to go in there and actually use the finishing move.

cod 2024 update

The difference is that the finishing move is not yet complete, so that means that they still haven't added an icon for it; there's no name attached to it as of right now. I can assume that it's not going to release anytime soon, and because it's not yet complete right now. I can assume that it's not going to release anytime soon, and it will need a future update so they may get around to it sometime in season 2, and that would make sense because later on in season 3 there's a Godzilla Kong movie that's going to be releasing.
