News - Warzone 2 "dmz" Ashika Island Easter Egg Guide: All Weapon Case Rewards
A new map for the DMZ Ashika Island is finally here, and with it comes a brand new Easter egg that can grant you seven free rewards, all from extracting it with a secret weapon that is hidden in Ashika. Island Brewing an Easter Egg We'll be showing you how to do it in the fastest and easiest way, as well as showing you all seven rewards from Ashika.
Maps The weapon case is always going to be in the same spot, right in the center of Ashika Island in the castle. Now that there are multiple ways to get towards the castle, there's no real right or wrong way to enter it. From my experience, if you enter the castle near the Sam site, you'll be able to deal with the first boss easier, and when you get close, on your screen it will say "bomb maker nearby," and in the circle where you see the weapon case, there will be a Wilson roaming.
Around now, this is not the same Wilson from Building 21; this is actually another way—quicker than that. It can move a lot faster and easily take you out, but the easiest way we've found is to throw multiple thermites. There's a chance that a couple of AI will run towards you whilst you're taking it out, but once it's taken out, that is your main step in order to enter the castle.
Going up to the Wilson, you'll be able to hold to interact, and you'll be hacking the security systems on the Wilson, and once that's completed on your screen, it'll pop up saying "Castle security access acquire." So now you're ready to enter the castle, but before you do, look around the map; there are going to be several obstacles, including cameras, which can all be found on the sides of buildings or above on walls in the circle where you see the weapon case.
Now it is so important that you take out all of these cameras before we go into the castle because if any cameras spot you, they're going to send a wave of tier 3 AI after you, and it's going to be a lot more difficult for you to actually go towards the weapon case. So I'm showing you on the screen now where all of these main cameras are, so you want to make sure you're taking them all out.
You'll see a prompt saying that the traps have been destroyed if you've shot them, and you'll know you've been spotted if you see the spot appear on your screen like you would see for a snapshot at Grain Aid, because we took down the Wilson and hacked the security systems. If we go up to one of the doors in the car, we can now unlock the castle hideout, and we can enter.
This place is a bit of a death trap because the main boss is called the "bomb maker," and he loves to create traps. So there are tons of different traps lying all around the castle, and here you've got claymores. You've got trip mines, you've got barbed wire, and you've got sentry guns, so you've just got to take your time here.
You're going to be making your way up several floors in the castle, including the very top, and you're going to have a lot of AI that are going to be after you while you're roaming. From both the bottom floor and also the floor you're on and the floor above, this is the main route they're going to want to be taking through the castle.
Once you go through the front door, make your way up the stairs, and then push to the right. There will be a sentry gun right to your left as well as AI coming towards that Century gun location, but then you make your way up the stairs. There'll be some barbed wire on the bottom of the second part of the stairs, and you'll also come across Riot shielders and other AI, but once you're ready and have cleared that, make your way up the stairs.
There'll be the bomb maker in the back, as well as some other AI and the trophy system, and once you've taken out all of those AI, you'll want to go up to these computers and disable the alarm. No more AI will be storming the castle, and you'll find that the weapon case is now on the floor for you to pick up, unlike Almasra.
Second, making your way out of the castle is going to be tricky, and you're going to want to judge it based on where your X4 points are. There are two ways to get out of the castle: through the front door that we just used, which you can do, and if you find a vehicle nearby, you can drive towards the next full point and then you can x-fill with the case, but you can also take an underground route now that there's no right or wrong path.
It's just whatever is going to be easier for you, but to access the underground exit, all you need to do is go to the front doors that we entered the castle with and then take a right, and you're going to be in this room where there's going to be a staircase that will lead you down underground. Once you run down here, there will be a case, and there will be a rope to descend into the waterways.
Now in this cave, you have a left or a right exit to choose from, but you've got to be aware because there are going to be quite a few AIs here, including a juggernaut, but he's not as strong as other juggernauts in the DMZ, so you'll probably want to take them out before they cause you any trouble.
Once you've taken up most of the AI here, there's going to be a boat that you and your team are going to want to take from there. You're going to just follow it along, and it's going to take you out of the underground section and back out onto the map, and then you can go right, the way around the map, towards an x-fill, if I had to rank this in difficulty.
In terms of Building 21 on our Maserat. I definitely say this is the most difficult just because there is a lot of AI to get through before you get that case, and then there's a lot of chance that players are going to be waiting around the castle for you to take it, so that's why if you can. I definitely recommend taking the underground route.
It doesn't seem like a lot of players are watching that right now, so let's talk about the weapon case rewards. Because, like I mentioned at the start of the article, there are seven of them, so let's go through all seven. Well, the first reward you're going to unlock is a backup plan weapon. Blueprint for the P890, which I think looks pretty nice, but your second reward is going to be an Aces emblem, which is obviously a reference to the Shadow Company.
The third reward is a full house call, which I think actually looks pretty nice. The fourth reward is a weapon sticker called "Bear with Me." The fifth reward is a loading screen called "Triple Threat," which I also think looks really cool. The sixth reward is an emblem called "Full House," which is a mixture of the Shadow companies, the Ace logo, and Ghost's face, and the seventh and final weapon case reward is a blueprint for the TAC 56 called "Fight Night." If we take this into the gunsmith on paper, it doesn't look to be that great; it has a pretty average look to it.
