News - Warzone 2: 82 Big Changes The Season 3 Update. Update 1. 17

The bass P just got all around a buff, all damage ranges increased, and the ads moved speed and trees, so all in all, a better weapon. The lockman sub got a headshot nerf and then burst fire nerfs. I don't know who uses this for burst fire, but not me. On the mx9, the sprint to fire speed increased, the vasnev got a headshot damage decrease, and the same with the valve 46, so all in all, they're nerfing a lot of headshot damage, which I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing; it's going to reduce the time to kill, but also there's a skill Gob there where if you hit headshots, you should be rewarded for it.

Now, specific attachments are great. The snake shot Maximum. Armor damage has been added, so you can't just nuke someone with this thing, so this is important. The explosive bolt weapons equipped with explosive ammunition are now able to down a fully armored player in one shot in War Zone 2. If you are a one-shot kill sniper, you have to use explosive ammunition, and that is how they are going to work.

They also added explosive ammunition for the MCPR300. The iso Hemlock and the 300 Blackout rounds. I believe overall, all got a Nerf, but the headshot damage got increased, so as a whole, it's going to perform a little bit worse, as you can see long-range damage decrease, same with mid-range damage, but if you hit your headshots, it's going to help you a little bit now, as far as specific attachments go.

Aside from these, I'm not going to go into too much depth. You can pause it here and read through these if you really want to. If there was anything that I really thought we should point out. At least that's what it seems like to me, and then there are some for specific weapons like the Fennec and the STB-556.

modern warfare 2 patch notes

However, like I said, when I should point something out, I will stop. This is one of them: the akimbo attachment for the basilisk. The maximum armor damage was added, so that should make it a little bit worse instead of just being able to get nuked. Now, as far as bug fixes and little changes go, Bomb Squad now applies to explosive damage against armor, which is interesting damage.

Feedback: visual feedback is adjusted to increase visibility. When taking damage, that's a good death effect. Now work on AI—not a big one. Diving fire delay is reduced, so after you dive you can shoot your weapon a little bit quicker, and slide speed slightly increases, so these are the movement mechanics that really changed within the season.

modern warfare 2 season 3 update

Will they change that much? I don't know, but hey, they're trying to make movement a little bit better as far as equipment goes. Flash grenades got nerfed, thank God Fray grenades got nerfed, thank God Fray grenades got nerfed, the one-hit kill radius against fully armored players is reduced, so that's a nerf, the proximity mine nerf, and a semtex now kills down players when they're stuck, so I guess a buff for that one bomb, drones got a nerf within Warzone 2; they can no longer down players that are fully armored, and cluster minds got a nerf as well.

Bug fixes

Bug fixes

Now, going through the rest of this, this is a bunch of UI fixes and bug fixes. I'm not going to read through all of these just because, essentially, they're a little bit boring, and I feel like most of you don't want to hear about them. There were a bunch of cooperative and raid bug fixes as well, so now that we've gone over all the bug fixes, this is the new stuff within the season.

First off, we have Gunfight, with four different map shipments. You have the black site, which is the same gulag that is now going to be in Warzone, as well as two other maps, one of which you are seeing here. The new game mode that we have is Cranked, as is the new map, which is called Paleo's Lighthouse, that you are seeing here.

modern warfare 2 update

The list of maps is Paleo's Lighthouse and Black Gold; Black Gold is the night map; I don't know how that one is going to play; then we have our gunfight maps, which I just mentioned: Ali Black Site Exhibit and Shipment; then our battle maps are Rohan Oil and Statique Cave Complex; those are from Groundwork.

You should recognize those pretty easily there. These are new rewards for ranked play, so they're what you're seeing here. There are various different weapon charms, and then a blueprint at the bottom. There are a bunch of CDL rules updated. If you play ranked play, you can check these out for yourself or pause the article here.

They've made brief adjustments to the SR ratings for different areas, and then we get into War Zone 2. As far as the map goes, on Shika Island, there is one map update: a cargo ship and several Marines are now present outside of Port, so that's a little bit of a cool update they didn't even advertise.

modern warfare 2 update 1.17

As far as gameplay goes, we have the tempered plate carrier, which makes it so that instead of having to equip three plates, you only have to equip two, saving you plates and making it quicker to do so. There's also a heavy chopper, which is in the DMZ, and a warzone, which is in all modes, as you are seeing here, but in the DMZ you have to get specific fuel to actually use it.

The only other thing that I wanted to point out here is that gas masks have been given a slight buffer when the player delays them from being taken off, as well as interrogation, which is now performed in three seconds instead of five, so you can do it a little bit quicker, giving you a little bit more reason to do it.

As far as quality of life goes, they have Mantle Insist improvements, advanced UAV improvements, and Killstreak Banner positioning has been moved to not disrupt you as much, as well as several bug fixes as you're seeing here as far as playlists when the update comes out. You're going to have duos, trios, and quads as far as Massive Resurgence, which is the new mode, goes.

This is the one where it works like a chica island, but this time it's on Almazra. They have trios and quads on Ashika Island Resurgence. They have solos, duos, and quads. I have no idea why they don't have trios, but I guess they didn't want them.

Gameplay changes

Gameplay changes

goes a little bit more in depth as far as Massive Resurgence goes. It sensibly works the exact same as Ashika Island, including different ways that you can speed up your timer. All in all, there's nothing really new there. If you played Ashika Island, you know all of this. They also said that they added a Shika Island Resurgence to private matches, which I think is good.

Also, private match spectating is now available. Also, the Bird's Eye Perk has now been re-enabled within the game. The changes to it are that it now activates when the player uses the UAV Co-Stick. Enemy UAVs no longer trigger Bird's Eye, so that was obviously a bug. It is activated by a player using Bird's Eye and now provides enemy headings, which is the direction of them, and UAV pings activated by a player using Bird's Eye are slightly larger, so basically they fixed the bug with it, and then it changed how it worked just a little bit as, as we mentioned before, the new Gulag is a black site, and then as far as new gameplay feature features go, the big one coming out at launch is UAV Towers.
