So today was the new update for Modern Warfare 2 season 2, which is now live, and I was excited to get on and try the new weapons and level up my seasonal pass. which we knew from the start was always a limited-person playlist, so I checked. I went to war zone 2, and, well, look what we have: we have the new Resurgence map, and then we just have the Battle Royale map, solos, duels, trios, and quads.

No third person, either. Here is another article talking about how Activision Infinity, Ward, and the whole development team on Modern Warfare 2 worked with the advertising team. Much lies to us, and in some ways you could say scam people, right, like you can use that word however you want, but in reality, when you promote something like they did on September 18th, saying change up the way you play it, going third person is available today in dedicated playlists.

They have a full blog post on it talking about a new perspective in Modern Warfare 2's third-person mode. In this mode, the camera is set back over the shoulder of your operator; this gives you more perspective on your overall surroundings in exchange for less depth of field in front of you; it's great for seeing your operator in action and giving it a different feel to the standard first-person view; now, my biggest thing with this is that, from the very beginning, you.

We're promoting this third-person mosque paper, and we're separating the two war zone and third-person mosque papers because one was always pushed to be a rotational event, which was war zone, and one was pushed on a paid game right, well, we're not talking about the free-to-play Wars, but the one talking about the paid game of Modern Warfare 2, and they pushed it, and as the betas came, the bulls kept coming on September 24th, and now it's an open beta.

Modern Warfare 2 Beta is here, so grab your friends and kick off Saturday night. If you look at the playlist, if you go down a little bit, it says "third person mosh," "pay," and it's on the beta playlist. Now, betas are used as a free opportunity for the developers to get feedback on the game; not only that, but it's also promoting the game too, so you literally have a game mode in there that is being promoted during the beta, and it's one thing to say, "Hey, play, different mode," but there's only really one third-person mode, so if they were rotating the playlists around, right, if they were rotating the playlist in and out in and out, but at least always had at least one playlist that had a third-person option to it.

So they're literally asking how people are enjoying this; they're hyping the third person because they know there are certain players who only enjoy their persona. I personally like both, but I tend to really enjoy third person a lot more; as you can see, a lot of the games I cover on this channel are third-person shooters.

It even gets better on October 25th, when Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer launches and offers distinct modes and mode categories. Some are based on the type of map they are played on in core map modes. Battle map modes: third-person mode Like, they're literally pushing this at launch, right before the game's going live, and this is what you're going to get, so people are out there spending their money buying.

The sixty-dollar version and the hundred-dollar version required you to pay money for those skins, which they ended up doing because they did launch with them, but now they're not in the game. This just doesn't add up, and I just don't understand how a developer can go around promoting something and then not keep at least one playlist in the third person.

And the reason why I did want to keep Warzone out of this is because, from the very beginning, if you look at how they pushed Warzone, they said look at third-person playlists. Coming to War Zone 2, in the Battle Royale weekly rotations, they did always mention that the third-person playlist for War Zone 2 was always going to be in the weekly rotations, so I will give them credit for that, but look at this post for another example: post that was on October 28th from the developers, and it says it's good to have you back.

Soldier Move. There could be a lot of reasons why some people only enjoy third person and some people only enjoy first person, so the fact that you are pushing something new on your game for Modern Warfare 2 and then all of a sudden it's not there anymore. That really doesn't add up to their thought process on why they were doing this—was it just that they wanted more money?

Did they want to capture that Fortnite community that had a third person? They obviously knew there was a fan base for it, but when it even gets worse, during their free weekend, look at how they push the third person. They said multiplayer has free access from December 15th to the 19th, with three maps and four modes.

Look in big, bold letters at the bottom available to play in both first and second. Third Person: They literally had a free weekend, which is used to get more revenue by getting people to buy the game, and they were literally pushing it. So imagine if you played this right, if you played this free weekend, if you got on with your boys, and you're like, Yo.

Man I just don't know how anybody can sleep at night doing this to a community that will show support and spend money on their game, but just to take it away. I want to say that on January 29th, we made a article on this and published it, and then about a week later we had third person in Mosh and Pit back in the rotation, and then even on February 9th, the next week after they actually posted something, it said "Ready up for this week's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 playlist, third person." Mosh Pit was at the top of the list; yes, it was above shipment 24 hours a day, above shoe house, and above the CDL Mosh Pit.

You can't advertise something and then do a bait and switch, if that's what you want to say, like there is. There's got to be a fine line between what you can push that's going to be in the game and what you can take away if you're pushing that your game is going to offer a particular mode that is very distinct, right?

It's totally different than first person, and then obviously it's not there anymore. I don't know. Mosh Pit: Sometimes it was, say, dominance; sometimes it was TDM; sometimes it was maybe search and destroy; maybe they just kept it in third person because I think it's just a better thing to do. I've always bought Call of Duty games, but I was unsure.
