News - Stop Making This Mistake. How To Rotate Warzone 2 For More Wins
One of the biggest things that people struggle with in Warzone 2 is understanding how to properly rotate and position themselves to set themselves up for success. This game has a relatively low level of movement and also a pretty fast time to kill, and rotating is key, so we're going to break this gameplay down so we execute absolutely perfectly.
When it comes to our rotations that we make, so to give you a little background, we're kind of in the end game, and we're coming up on the fourth circle. My teammate is fighting some people, and I've just been brought back; he's going to give me a live ping, so I'm going to come back and try to help him now that I'm landing.
I'm not just full-sending a landing ride on this guy; I'm going to land in a position of cover and high ground; we're landing on the bridge, and also so I can get my loadout now instead of jumping into the water and going gung-ho, we're going to slow down, we're going to try to peek and take our time and locate where this guy is.
I'm dropping down, and I'm checking my surroundings, and I don't see this guy, and I don't hear this guy. There aren't a lot of audio cues in this game, so I have to rely on visual cues. Now, finally when I drop down I'm gonna see this guy and I'm gonna try to just Spam live ping to see if I can see him and get a lifing on him in the bush but I'm not unable to do so if somebody is behind a tree or a bush you can often live ping them and then just shoot the Ping now he's gonna end up just bleeding out here and going down but, my teammate is now getting shot so I'm gonna push up the look to help him and, we're gonna , just in time get his help and my teammate's gonna be able to self-revive but take note of how I did not just run out there gung-ho even when I challenge that guy I.
was able to play off cover and if there was somebody else I could have got right back behind that wall if I needed to now I go up here and I'm going to tap the self Revive on my teammate my teammate had a self. If you start the self-revive, but someone else finishes it, it's going to keep that self-revive.
You can use it later. A small tip here If you have the self-reviving pistol, once you start it, you can't stop it, so just a little note to keep in mind now: I'm actually going to make a mistake here because I did not pay attention to the zone moving and I went to go loot this guy and the zone is going and it is going fast, but I'm going to do something here to kind of save my tail, and I'm going to dive while sprinting because diving actually resets our tactical sprint and it's going to allow me to catch up and just make it ahead in the zone so that I am not dying to the gas, and thankfully I was able to loot that durable gas mask.
We have a really, really long rotation, and we are not in the best spot because we had to go back and I had to help my teammate fight, and we've got to go. If you're going to look up here on this hill, you're going to see there's a guy moving right around here, and my teammate's actually about to ping him here in a second.
We're calming down to each other, and I'm saying do not shoot at him because if we shoot right now with the Zone on our buttocks, we are going to get held and we're going to get fried. We're going to be dead. So we are going to just kind of go in with the element of surprise. I'm going to take shots, but this guy's going to get behind this ridge, but I have a smoke grenade.
Smoke grenades are my number one tactical weapon for making rotations because you can throw them ahead and push or sneak ahead. I get a "no" notification. Precision, airstrikes—very frustrating, but there's nothing I can do about that. Luckily I had looted that cell for five, but now I get a mortar, so I have to go; I have no time to play; we just have to go, but hey, take note of how I am hugging this wall to my left; there's a ton of red dots to my left; my teammate had just called in a UAV, but because I am right on this wall, even if they looked over, they're not going to see me, and I'm able to make this kind of long and treacherous rotation safely.
Just because of a simple thing like that by hugging the wall, now thankfully nobody's, we are right so far that we can notice, but I'm going to keep checking that way because that's my next biggest threat. Always keep in mind where somebody would be coming from; let's look up the hill. I'm going to give a live pink to my teammate so he knows where he is, but I'm in between these two hills and I need to get into cover, so we're going to go in the house and try to challenge this from the safety of this house.
That way, if these guys shoot at me, all I have to do is back off and get back in the house, and we are good to go. I think we need to figure out how to rotate, and he says, I have smoke grenades. So he's actually trying to go through his inventory and drop them so we can utilize them to rotate here.
Just a quick heads-up, guys. Know the small tip here; don't throw it right on you; throw it ahead so you can actually utilize it here, and we're scanning, and then bam, we see movement. We're going to see this guy on my left; we're going to get that down. Now, as soon as I get that down, I'm checking back up to the right because, remember, that's where those guys just were.
Now, we have the option to kind of go left or right here, but we also have the option to go right and take the high ground. If you have the option, always take the high ground. I'm trying to scan. I see him, and he ends up being an easy kill. Another little tip here is to try never to get caught sprinting.
I've actually recently turned off my automatic tactical sprint because of how slow the sprint to fire time is in this game. Once you get printed, you're basically dead. So now that we have looted this guy, we are trying to scan the area, and then, bam, we see movement up to the right. But notice how I don't immediately stop shooting.
I'm going to go up to this rock, and then we're going to start shooting, teammate. He hits a good snipe, and we're going to easily knock this duo down. The big thing is to try not to start a gunfight in the middle of the street. You want to, especially if you have the element of surprise, push up and find cover before you start shooting because if you miss shots or if they turn around and start shooting back at you, all you have to do is dive or duck and get behind cover.
Now this is an interesting end zone. There's not a lot of cover to work off of, but we do have a lot of these hills and little rocks. Here, we are going to make huge use of that and use it to your advantage. We're going to try to get holds down here on these guys now. My teammate is sniping, and I'm trying to ping and try to time this, but the other guy ends up shooting my teammate, so I go ahead and start shooting at this guy, and I get him down now.
