News - Modern Warfare 2: Big Content Update Leaks Tease Much Needed Additions. Warzone 2 Leaks
Zach, do you hear anything about plunder? Zack wins the plunder update coming as of right now; we've got no ETA on this, and there's been nothing official mentioned about plunder in War Zone 2 at all. All we've got to go off of is the fact that it was leaked via the files, so it's likely going to happen at some point in time, and frankly, plunder is kind of a staple of Warzone gameplay.
I think it's bound to happen at some point or another. I think the thing is here, though they were worried that perhaps it could potentially overshadow DMZ, so they didn't want to drop it right alongside the launch of War Zone 2 and split the player base with DMZ because they're both, you know, sort of casual-esque modes where exploration is a big thing and it's not nearly as hardcore, if you will, as Battle Royale gameplay is when it comes to just the general point and direction of what you have to do in games, so I'd expect to hear something about plunder here soon most likely; they just didn't want that crossover with DMZ to start things off.
That could be a season two update, or season 2.5, sometime. In the relatively near future, and actually the only official mention of plunder we have now that I've thought about it is from the like rating of the game, the ESRB rating for War Zone 2 mentions that gameplay will have plunder-like skirmishes.
