Well, maybe there is. In the statement released by Infinity Ward, they said they would be sharing more information and more plans around season 1. If the worst hasn't happened and DMZ still exists fully intact but hidden inside Modern Warfare 3, then there's a possibility that all they need is time.

This would, however, depend on it being the plan from the start. Treyarch would have had to have forked the DMZ code base to enable features and mechanics to be shared between DM zombies and DMZ, rather than building on top of them. If this isn't the case, I'm afraid DMZ is done for good. The DMZ community's only last saving grace if this were to happen would be DMZ becoming a standalone game.

The game would have to come out of beta and require a huge investment. Thankfully, we only have a matter of weeks to wait to find out. I'm personally going to be playing whatever I enjoy most out of Cod's new offering, whether that's DMZ Zombie Resurgence Battle Royale or we have to find out.
