News - Crazy Update: Warzone 2 Zombies Content Reveal & Surprise Cancellation

Upcoming champion boss & season 3 content

But new information did also surface about season 3 Zombies content, which is actually pretty impressive, and unfortunately it does seem like this is content that isn't for the launch of season 3 at the beginning of April but season 3.5.

AKA reloaded, so that probably means the content we're about to discuss is for May, and supposedly the content does include another dark ether Rift, another Easter egg we have to do on Ersan, as well as something tied to Ava through the story. Mission: investigating relics, cleansing them, and facing somebody known as the champion.

This will be a brand new boss, so right there, after reading that. I'm like, okay, it seems like we're going to have a bit of a pattern with what content we end up getting with every major title update for MWZ. But they go even further than this with the leak by saying that the new Rift Gate items in season 3 Reloaded will each have their own unique abilities, giving players extra zombie damage, zombie object damage giving players special vision, and even zombie object speed increases giving players special vision and even zombie object vision, so it's unclear exactly what this will entail.

Could these artifacts or any of this information be tied to a pvpve, mode, or is this just content for the base experience on öand or the dark ether Rifts? It's unclear which item will give which ability, but this is interesting information about the future of MWZ.

But like I was just mentioning a few seconds ago, it looks like the content pattern every season will be something that we've already seen in season 1. Hopefully it doesn't get too repetitive, but if we get a nice, beautiful cinematic after cool story Mission with every major update, that's a plus for the post-launch narrative, but then it seems like we're not going to be getting any actual new maps in MWZ, such as maybe Fortune's Keep or Rebirth support, but instead we just have the base ö stand Zombies mode, and then maybe a PVP mode later in the future, but that's separate.

On top of that, just new dark ether Rifts with every major title update that we can spawn into via an act mission and then back into if you do an Easter egg quest. Like I said, we already saw that formula in season 1, so I'm not opposed to it. I'm cool with that, and that content is better than nothing. Probably not, but I'm still curious to see what their plans are, at least with the narrative going forward that helps set up maybe some of the plot for Black Ops 2024 zombies.

The rollercoaster of mw3 zombies support

The last thing I'll end with is that MWZ has been a mixed bag of emotions for a lot of people, and people were skeptical about this extraction type of experience from the get-go.

mw3 zombies cancelled

People who maybe didn't like outbreaks from the Cold War or maybe didn't really get familiar with DMZ during Modern Warfare 2 didn't really know what to think going into MW3. And even your typical zombie YouTubers or round-base fans were very optimistic. Yet skeptical, everyone was a mixed bag about it but then the mode came out it was very successful, the mode felt like it already had multiple seasons worth of content season 1 dropped a banger amount of DLC and we were all happy with it but then looking at the reality here after all the layoffs after trych apparently is going all hands on deck for Black Ops which I agree with I don't agree with the layoffs but I agree with trych going all hands on deck for their own game but you just would have hoped that maybe a better plan could have happened or a better transition, could have been made a reality so that somehow we still get some type of content in a mode that is apparently so successful. Hopefully it's not so successful to the point where Activision is like yeah will take this in mind for future MW installments, but not in mind for the rest of the DLC season for MW3, hopefully it's not the case where they're like yeah we know it was successful and we're going to take note on that but we're not going to really worry about it for the last couple of seasons of MW 3's life let's just see what the future holds here but in all this is what's going on right now with Modern Warfare 3, and I'm still going to cover the mode still going to grind it still going to be hopeful for it but in reality looking at a four-year developed Black Ops game, is going to be something that I think really helps zombies Community more than any DLC update could for mwz .
