News - Confirmed Fixes & Improvements For Launch. Warzone 2i

modern warfare 2

I just wanted to do a recap of all of the things from the Wonder Warfare 3 beta that have been acknowledged by Sledgehammer Games, and therefore, we can expect fixes to many of these things. One of the reasons I held off on this is that I was hoping at some point this week, with the closing of the beta, we would get a blog post from Sledgehammer that just sort of outlines the things that they're still tracking and working on between beta and launch.

Spawn improvements

Spawn improvements

And let's start this off with the big one: unfortunately, we don't have any specifics on as far as how they're planning on approaching things, but this is spawn. They did mention between weekend 1 and weekend 2 that their team is investigating getting reports of poor spawn selection quality, so again, there are no specifics as to what they're planning on changing with the spawn system, but I have seen a lot of people say that this spawn system in the beta is working exactly how they wanted it to work and they're not going to be making any changes. And that's not true; not only have they publicly stated that they are looking into spawns and will be making tweaks for launch another thing I wanted to mention here is they've actually reached out to me directly in private, specifically for feedback on how they can improve the spawn system and that's one of the things that prompted me to make that spawn feedback article that I've made which I have sent off to them and they have confirmed that people at the studio have been watching it now does this mean that I expect the spawns to be totally fixed and in an amazing State at launch no probably not all I wanted to point out here is it is something they're going to be actively working on hopefully we do see some noticeable improvements for launch, but unfortunately this is one of those things where we won't know till we actually get our hands on it again in either case let's get into more of the specifics .

Fixes already scheduled

Fixes already scheduled

And let's start this off with the things they've mentioned on their Trello board that have fixes scheduled already, so these are things that they've apparently already fixed on the back end, and we should be seeing them working properly at launch. And the first one is something that was quite annoying throughout the beta this is the fact that the footstep volume levels for teammates, were matching enemies and that's not supposed to be the case this was in fact a bug and therefore they are going to be fixing this hopefully this also means they're going to be taking a look at the bone conduction headset or perhaps naturally if they just fix this bug that will also fix it for bone conduction headset but for those that aren't aware that bone conduction headset was also boosting teammate footstep audio, when that's not meant to be the case that was only supposed to boost enemy footstep audio as for the next couple things that they already have a fix scheduled for these ones are just little bugs The first one is that the guardian SC can sometimes cause the heads-up display to disappear until respawn.

That's one that I ran into once at the Call of Duty next event, but I didn't actually run into it at all throughout the course of the beta experience. In either case, it is good to see that they got a fixed schedule for that because it is frustrating, and additionally, for something really minor that we have a fixed schedule for, they mentioned that the loadout selection UI would sometimes appear randomly throughout the game, and with this one.

I personally never experienced this at all. I don't know if this is platform-specific, or maybe I just got lucky and didn't run into it, or maybe it's just a very rare bug. In either case, this one will be handled as well for launch. Next up, they also have a fix scheduled for something that was quite annoying throughout the beta; it was small but annoying nonetheless.

This is with the counter-UAV. A lot of the times when you tried to call that counter UAV in, it would come up with a message that said there was not enough space to call in, and people were noticing this would happen more often if you were inside a building, for instance, and that was obviously just an unnecessary frustration because you should be able to call in a UAV at any time at any location on the map; it shouldn't matter where you're positioned or anything like that. Again, for this one, they already have a fix scheduled for so good to.

Acknowledged issues (no fix explicitly scheduled)

After that, we have something that's just listed as investigating, currently on the Trello board, so there's no guarantee this will be fixed for launch, although I suspect they'll probably get on top of it with this ACs field upgrade, which is the one that you can throw on an objective like a domination flag, for instance, and it will capture that flag for you.

It was actually not always working properly in many cases; it was not actually capturing objectives when it was meant to be doing that. Since that bug is something that affects the core functionality of a piece of equipment, it's likely they'll get on top of this for launch, because it would be a little bit strange if they launched the game with this bug still present and this new item still not working properly.

And then finally, for the issues that they've acknowledged officially on their Trello board, this is the missing announcer voice line for enemy UAV activation. That's something that definitely would have been nice to have throughout the beta. You were never informed through audio cues—at least that the team called the UAV, which is the primary source of that.

Of course, it was still popping up on the top right corner of the screen, but that's something that's really easy to miss, especially if that pops up while you're in the middle of a gunfight or a tent situation. It's super easy to miss, whereas the voice lines are much easier to catch at any given point.

And so it's good to see that they've acknowledged this, and we should be expecting a fix for that as well, and with that, that covers everything they've mentioned on their trellis board at this point. Of course, I'm sure they are tracking other issues in the beta; they just haven't updated the trail board Rec recently, and again, like I said, I was kind of expecting a blog post.

I think typically, after a beta, at least within a few days, we get a blog post that just explains what they learned from the beta and what sort of things they're going to be working on. Hopefully, we will be getting a blog post like that at some point next week.

One fix many missed during the beta

Once they fixed that hit detection issue, I actually think it was right up there with the ACR or MCW.

Wrap up

In the game, and with that, that's going to wrap it up for today's quick article again. This is just a quick recap and reminder. I know for many of you guys you already know about all these things, but like I said.
