Ar movement

Start it as you come around the corner, so we are running and we are starting it just as we come around the corner, or even if you want to simplify it, you can definitely just strafe out here with an AR. It's important that we are not strafing out into the open here, where, you know, we're totally exposed, and now we have to run back to cover if we need to.

We want to stay as close to that cover or that wall as possible and expose ourselves as little as possible because the key to this game is to find ways to not take damage. This game has a very fast time to kill and very slow movement overall, so we want to put ourselves in a position to not take damage and always utilize cover.

Now what happens if we get out of here and put ourselves in a bad spot? If I try to take this gunfight, I'm going to lose because I'm outnumbered and I have no cover to fight off. So this is a perfect situation where we want to use that dive mechanic to just get out of here and reset the fight. About a little bit earlier, but as long as you get to that tactical sprint just a little bit, you can dive, and that right there is why I prefer the automatic tactical sprint because it's so much easier to just push on the left stick and then dive out of the way to cover.

But let's say we did this; let's say we dove at a cover, should I now repeat the angle like this or should I do a jump peak? The answer ultimately is no because, chances are, if they're a decent player, they're going to be staring right at where you just were instead. This is the perfect time to just do a simple reposition.

Go around and take it from another angle, or, even better, try to completely flank it. In an area where you are a Nazi, you can get behind them. The biggest rule of thumb in this game is to utilize movement to avoid damage and then reposition.

Close quarters movement

Close quarters movement

To take fights from a different angle , okay, but what about close quarters movement? can we utilize movement to avoid taking damage when we don't have anywhere to go, so let's say hypothetically I'm standing here in this doorway, open, and there's a guy right there. Should I just, you know, jump?

Should I try to dive? Probably not, because when you dive, there is a delay where you can't shoot your gun, so it takes a second, and chances are you're going to get fried by the time you do that. But if I'm very close, like within about five meters or so, from when an enemy kind of pops up and surprises me, it's a great time to do a drop shot.

All you're going to do is Hold Your Circle, Hold your circle and your crouch, and we're going to drop the shot and shoot him. But we do not want to do this from a distance. Let's say I'm over here and they pop through the door. If I drop shot, my target isn't moving very much, so it's very easy for them to correct that aim, and they're probably going to hit you right in the head because your head is the most forward-protruding object, and they're just going to get headshots and kill you even quicker, so only drop shot in very close quarters, and when someone surprises you, you're dead.

Alright, so now for the rest of you, we're going to break down a few clips here and explain how to use this stuff in the game and what it looks like, so the first one is called the "ego Chow jump." The second one is going to be what we talked about when we talked about peeking around a corner, so in this situation.

I'm going to see a guy out a little bit in the distance to my right, and I'm going to immediately get behind him, take cover, and switch to my assault rifle. I'm going to run and jump out and shoot him because I'm using an AR. It's a little bit slower because of that aim-down sight, but because I jumped so far out, he has to adjust his aim, which gives me a second to kind of get that upper advantage, and I'm just able to hit my shots.

One of the really important things though about doing this is that when you're jumping, you are centering, meaning that your crosshair and center knot are already on them or very close to them. You start to aim your gun all right, so what about when we are caught off guard? So here I am going to the buy station to buy one of my teammates back, and as soon as I do, I spot a guy out in front of me, and I have my SMG out, so he's pretty far away.

I really don't want to challenge this. I have no cover, so this is where I'm going to dive to get cover, to kind of reset this, and you can dive really far. Once I do that, I switch to my AR, and then I'm going to peek up, staying behind that the entire time and just frying with my RPK. Alright, now let's show a few examples of when to drop the shot.

So here we're trying to rotate the zone in the end game, and I'm going to get caught off guard by two players very close to my right. I could have potentially made a deflection to cover and reset, but with two right in front of me and the first one already starting to shoot on me. I just went ahead and went for the drop shot, and you're going to see my health was absolutely impeccable.

I was absolutely one shot, but that drop shot probably made him miss one or two bullets and allowed me to get the first one and then flick to the next one and go ahead and get him. This is another example of a drop shot where I was completely taken by surprise. A guy comes out of a bathroom, right?

Behind me, and he's super close to me, so I'm going to just turn around and drop a shot, and that drop shot's going to cause him to miss a few bullets and allow me to win this gunfight that I should have lost. So, what if you are too far away to drop shot and you have nowhere to dive to cover? Well, this is a situation of that where someone jumps out at me around on my left side here and he's too far away to drop shot, and I don't have anywhere to dive to cover.

I'm going to sprint for it along this wall to where I can kind of get out of his angle where he can't really see me, and then I'm going to immediately jump out of his side where I'm going to kind of that jump crouch and be able to kill him in a close quarters fight. Now, can you break cameras? In the case of war, the answer is yes, but it's just a lot harder, and you kind of need the right timing to do so in this situation.

A guy runs by me to my left; now I could have just sat here and pre-aimed, but I wanted to get aggressive and challenge him because I didn't think he saw me, so I end up just running and jumping around the corner, and he peeks around the corner at the exact time that I am running and jumping around, and it ends up basically breaking his camera where he has to completely turn around to find me, and I end up getting an easy kill.

This is hard to do because I've got a slower movement speed. With the lack of audio in this game, it's harder to use those audio cues to get an idea of where people exactly are, but it is still possible.
