Introduction
So the haunting event is a new limited-time Halloween-themed event in season 6, which brings with it some cool new bundles. It is an event spanning across War Zone 10 and DMZ, and it also allows you to unlock a bunch of cool rewards in War Zone 2 in war zone. In this event, there's a bunch of monsters that you need to find and kill in the war zone to unlock some nice rewards, which will eventually allow you to unlock the Mastery Bloody Mess Basp SMG blueprint for completing five of the six challenges.
By finding and killing various monsters, now in this article I explain how to open a portal, visit, and then defeat the butcher to unlock the butcher calling card and a butcher meet hook for Diablo I, and obviously that will also help you get this Mastery Bloody Mess blueprint and some pretty cool rewards.

Challenge explained
Actually, to defeat the butcher, the challenge says that you need to secure the area and activate the altars of Lilith to open a nightmare portal to the butcher. Now, you might not know what this means, but basically, in El Mazra, it has to be El Mazra.
There will be portals on various areas of the map; now there'll be one portal spawning each game at a specific site, and this can either be at the Zawi hydroelectric dam, the alaman, or symmetry. The zy Observatory, or al-Mazra City, will be one of those four locations. Every time, basically, you need to spawn into Al Mazra to find this alter.
Best mode for the haunting
As the first step towards this challenge, now you can do this on any version of Al Mazra, so you can do it in the war zone or in as long as it's the night version, which it will be, and what'I'd say is that a lot of people try to flock into this game in War Zone. In Battle Royale, you'll find yourself dying a lot coming across lots of different teams.
If you've got a good team, you've got a good chance, but if you're by yourself or you're struggling. I definitely wouldn't recommend spawning into a war zone, even though, like with a war zone resurgence or massive resurgence. I think it's called that even though you get more respawns, you're less likely to be actually able to do this, so what I'd recommend is actually trying to do this in DMZ, as it's much quieter, there are fewer teams, and you got a much better chance of actually doing this challenge, but obviously if you go into DMZ, you have got a risk of dying, so make sure you've got good armor, ammo self-revive, possibly teammates if you can a weapon with lots of ammo like an lmg, stms.
Lethal equipment, all that kind of stuff, just to make sure you're really beefed up—two or three plate vests, that kind of thing—so I'd recommend doing this in DMZ, but you can do it in Battle Royale if you want. It's the same process, but I explain how to do it personally.
Where to find the altar
I did it in DMZ, so what you want to do is, say, spawn in, and you want to find one of these alter sites around the map, like, say, it's either going to be one of those four locations, and when you spawn in, just look for that alter symbol on the map; it kind of looks like a tree with maybe spikes on it or something like that, and basically, as soon as you spawn, look at the map and look for that symbol.
When you find it, obviously you want to go towards that area, but obviously, just make sure you don't come across enemies and you're not unsafe. If there are lots of enemies around, you want to kill them first, and if you forget that challenge at any point, if you see that old symbol, you can hover over it to explain the challenge—how to actually kill the butcher—so don't worry if you forget the challenge; you can just look at it when you're in the game in the middle of a match.
Activate the altars of lilith
Now, once you find the symbol, head to that area and go towards that ritual site. When you get there, there will be a ritual site with lots of spikes around it, and there's going to be six different altars, or what they call altars of Lilith; they basically like different statues, and there's going to be six of them in a circle.
There'll also be a kind of demonic symbol on the stone floor of the ritual seat, but none of it will be lit up at this point, so what you want to do is hold square or X to actually start the ritual at one of those sites at one of those altars of Lilith. Basically, what will then happen is that a progress bar will pop up and it will start to fill, while zombies will spawn in that area and they'll come to attack.
There aren't too many of them, so it's not too difficult, but obviously it is more useful if you have teammates. Your main issue is that there's going to be other people coming towards you as well, so defend.
Open a nightmare portal to the butcher
Off those zombies. Complete that ritual; it doesn't take too long at all—maybe about 20 seconds, 30 seconds, or something like that not too long at all and then, basically, once you've done that, you want to complete it five more times with the other altars of Lilith, so there'll be six in a circle, and once you've done the sixth one, all of those lines on the ritual site will light up bright red, meaning that you've completed it.
At this point, a portal will spawn, and you can then teleport to the area where the butcher is going to be; it's almost like a hell area, basically, so complete those six altars, go through the portal, and you'll reach hell. At this point, you're going to spawn into a little area of the map, which looks like something from a zombie map, and there's.
How to defeat the butcher
There are going to be a bunch of zombies that are spawning, and the butcher himself now; he's quite fast and quite intimidating. His footsteps are quite loud, and he's got a big Melly weapon, so watch out for him; he can be dangerous.
What I say is that there will be a bar at the top of the screen with his health. Obviously, just try to kill him as fast as you can. He's got quite a bit of health, so make sure you ideally go in with a few teammates; you can even go in with enemies too; they can help you take it down, or if someone else starts the ritual, to you know, set up the portal, then you can just jump into the portal straight away even though there's an enemy, so it doesn't matter too much, but just get as many people as you can trying to take this guy down.
