News - A Major Change Was Just Made To Warzone 2 & Dmz. Modern Warfare 2 Surprise Update. Again
Another day, another update for Warzone, it seems, and with this one, viable loadouts have returned. This one is probably a pretty polarizing topic, but there's a bit more to it than meets the eye. Today, we're running down the reintroduction of viable loadouts in Warzone 2 and a few other changes that we ended up seeing here, including the already announced removal of Building 21 from the DMZ and when it will return next.
War Zone 2, and anything Cod related, and finally check out my friends at G Fuel for some last-second holiday deals, but more on them in a bit. For now, let's take a look at the changes and what this means for War Zone 2 at.
Warzone 2 & dmz changes are coming in fast.
Large So, yesterday we got a bit of a surprise update for Warzone 2 and DMZ in which we got Building 21 as a new area in DMZ that is a bit more independent from Warzones. Battle Royale aspect, but one of the big things that we saw on the Battle Royale was the adjustment where you could purchase weapons from the buy stations, individually, for cheaper than you could 24 hours before that.
We saw a price drop from five thousand dollars per weapon to two thousand five hundred dollars per weapon, so to me, this made late-game gains more accessible, but you still have plenty of other ways to get your weapons and full loadouts in the game if you wanted things like strongholds and loadout drops.
World spawns were not really invalidated, since they are still the only ways to get your preferred set of utility as well as perk packages, but since it's something that helped you get your weapons earlier. I'd also probably still prefer strongholds. To get those perks, weapons without them are nice, but with them they are definitely nicer, so if anything.
I'd buy a weapon to get started, then go towards that stronghold to get my perks, and then swap out that pistol that I'd have as a secondary and use that weapon maybe that I bought as that secondary instead of Overkill, without Overkill, but today in a manner that not really many anticipated, or at least not at the rate at which we anticipated.
Raven, We've quite literally turned War Zone 2 as we've had it on its head, making loadout drops accessible in yet another manner.
Loadout drops are now purchasable in buy stations in warzone 2
Beyond strongholds and world spawns, tweeting Have a Holly Jolly War Zone 2; it's the best time of the year. I don't know if there will be snow, but we have a loadout drop grenade now available at buy stations across our Mazara then following up by saying low-dot drop grenades are currently enabled in a battle royale for players to purchase via buy stations, with pricing for solos at eight thousand dollars, sixteen thousand dollars in duos, twenty-four thousand dollars in trios, and thirty-two thousand dollars in quads.
Then capping off the thread by saying the continuity of this feature will depend on the feedback we receive and its overall impact on the Battle Royale experience in War Zone 2. In the meantime, enjoy. So, there it is, a little over a month after the global release of Loadout, drops are once again purchasable in Warzone, but of course, it's not as straightforward as it was before with Warzone 1.
There are a few glaring differences, namely the price, obviously. Getting your primary and secondary gear on overkill for a fraction of the cost is important because, say quads for 32,000 dollars, you're paying 12,000 dollars for perks across four players, so to me, that's not the end-all, be-all, or rather a huge gameplay altering thing to me.
It's a nice option to have, but I don't know that I would go out and do it in many cases. I may opt out of getting loadout drops, especially with Warzone perks or perk packages having been and continuing to be broken in some form or another. The second difference here is that this is not a guarantee to stay right away; it seems like we'll see this over the holiday break from now until the new year, as stated by Raven, though they said the continuity of this feature will depend on the feedback received and have an overall impact on the experience, which is definitely nice right now.
In what exact way, I'm not entirely sure what they'll be checking the most and where they'll be checking the most likely. Back-end data usage is my guess, but it's not something that's solidified and guaranteed to be here for the rest of the war zone.
Is this a good or bad change for warzone 2?
2 now, overall, some of my thoughts on this are as follows: On paper, I like this. Maybe once I jump in tonight and throughout the next few days when I play, I won't like it as much, but on paper, I do like it. Like I said, the pricing makes it possible to buy, but in some cases, it's just not truly worth the cost, in my opinion.
I get the main argument against viable loadouts, which is that they will revert back to a boring meta of a few weapons at a time. Absolutely, and that's valid, but the way that I see it, this is just another way to do it, offering more accessibility. I don't particularly use it, probably because it's such a steep price that if I want something of a loadout myself, I'll either wait for that world to spawn or I'll go and overtake a stronghold.
Looking back at recent gameplay, the only time my squad will scratch 25 thousand dollars up is at the earliest in zone two, and after going and wiping a few squads and going contract, which is heavy in terms of trying to get that cash accruing, it's to the point where that's our main focus. That much cash isn't as easy as you'd think.
I can only think of one time where I landed and found that much loot, and it was recently in the Code Bowl, where I landed in a high loot zone and it was just honestly astounding; it blew my mind, and I had no idea how to react because I had just never seen that much cash drop out of crates and stuff like that. But beyond that, to get a loadout now before the first five minutes or so again, you'd have to hardcore grind, save cracker, contracts, and do a few other things, and get lucky while looting along the way among all that, so it's definitely possible, but for my squad's interest if you play like us, that's too much time spent doing things that aren't taking gun fights and getting kills within Battle Royale, so for me, it'll still probably be ground loop, get some kills, go do a stronghold, get a loadout, and buy a weapon individually, but this is a major change made just before that holiday break.
Will more changes come to warzone 2 before the holidays?
Now, will we see any more changes before the holidays, if possible? I'm not expecting much from the few people facing forward. Employees are already saying that their breaks are starting today, so with that being the case. I'm sure that hands-on staff totals will be much smaller, so what we see in the next couple of days in terms of adjustments, if any, will be much smaller than some of these things.
