By doing so, you will get a reward, and that's only available for you to do on the Fortunes Keep map. Speaking of Fortunes Keep, that is expected to be live as soon as the update is along, and there's going to be some brand new features they're going to be introducing. The first one is the zombie nest and eradication contract, which I mentioned you will do as part of the horse hunt event.
The second new feature is going to be the rogue signal public event. This is going to be an objective where all teams receive the same task, which is to either get the most kills or deal the most damage. You have 90 seconds to complete this objective. Once it's complete, a reward cache will appear, but it's going to be locked for 30 seconds.
Whichever team gets to it and opens it up, we'll end up getting some random rewards, and these will consist of either getting Wonder Weapons or some exclusives. Types of power-ups, like zombie power-ups, will be available on the first day. They consist of double points, so for a 60-second duration, anything that you do that will help a squadmate come back to reduce the respawn timer that'll double the points for that you have full armor, you have max ammo, you have the stand standard fire cell, you have looting spree, which is going to be adding bonus items to the cash with a very high chance of getting better rewards, and then you have zaror 60c duration, which increases your movement speed by around 10%.
With infinite tactical Sprinting and reloading while sprinting disables fall damage, and then you have Undead sight for 45 seconds. Operators or AI enemies within the range of your vision are highlighted red and friendly squadmates are blue and track your footsteps are active, and then there's something else called an extendable bridge, which is an in-game feature, that will be available at launch.
You'll be able to press a button to bring down the bridge as well as raise it anyway.
Season 2 ranked play
Another thing that they promised with this season is going to be a ranking resurgence. Now I am talking about everything that will be available on day one, and I highly doubt that rank-resurgence will be available. They do mention specifically in the blog post that it'll be available during a launch window, meaning that they don't really even have a date on when they're going to release it; they're going to try and get it in as soon as possible, but when it comes to these rank types of modes, there's always some sort of issue that will pop up before they add it and will cause it to end up getting delayed.
For example, in MW3, multiplayer rank play was originally supposed to be added on the day of the mid-season update. They found some issues, and it was delayed a couple of days. Don't get your hopes up or expect a Resurgence rank play to be added on day one, but what can be added is going to be the multiplayer rank play.
Depending on if there's any issues, it could be added a couple of hours later, but still, within the first day, as soon as it does, you will receive your reward, so if you place plat or gold the last season, you'll get your operator skin, your calling card, and all that stuff for that, and then it will also reset your rank, and you'll be able to begin playing anyway.
This is everything that you need to know about day one of the MW3, season 2 update , unfortunately.
No zombies content.
Zombies has no content coming in on the day of the update; you're going to have to wait until season 2 is reloaded to get all the brand new content, which is going to be a new warlord and new ACM missions.
Apparently none of that is scheduled to be added on day one, and all of it is going to be coming in a month later, so an entire month of basically no content for zombies. I find it pretty ironic how the theme of this season is zombie-based, and they are adding all this zombie content to War Zone and to multiplayer. But Zombies itself is getting no brand new content, which is definitely crazy to me, but this is everything that you need to know in regards to this article.
