News - Warzone 2 Dmz - Beginners Guide (looting, Strongholds, Factions, Extractions, Keys, Tips. More)

If you get one stronghold key card, it allows you to access any stronghold across the map, but you cannot leave with that key card, and only the person on your team who has that key can open up the stronghold as well as the additional doors in the stronghold instead of having all of them. Three players have an inventory slot taken up with the key card; you, too, should have one, but make sure that you have that guy open up all the doors in the strongholds and that you're constantly keeping him alive in the strongholds.

will have some of the best loot in the game, and they might also hold more secrets like underground keys to get into underground areas, which will have even better loot for you to get to. Alright, now that we've covered the three main kinds of objectives that you'll be going for, let's start talking about the looting a little bit.

There are going to be many items across the map at any given time that you can pick up and stow inside of your inventory, and if it's the same item, you can put them in stacks so you can have multiples of the same item. These items will tell you exactly how much they are worth in terms of value, so water bottles you might not want to pick up, so canned food you might not want to pick up, but you might want to pick up valuables that you find inside of coats that you find inside of different types of cases; they could be game consoles.

It could be hard drives, it could be USB sticks, and it could even be watches that are worth a pretty penny in the DMZ. You can even find gold bars that sell for about fourteen thousand or twelve thousand dollars, and GPS units sell for around the same price now when you loot these items that have a dollar value assigned.

To sell them, you need to find a buy station in order to sell them in the DMZ, and you can use that cash to either extract them and gain additional XP, which will also take some time off of your insured slot. If you have previously died with an insured weapon, you could spend that money at the buying station to buy vehicles.

You can also buy a bigger backpack, like the large backpack, and on top of that, you can also buy the three-plate armor vest, which is super valuable, especially when going up against other players. It is the best armor in the game, so I highly recommend going for it immediately. So we've covered most of the basics so far, but I forgot to mention one thing you might also run into in restricted areas: The map alongside Strongholds or any of those underground areas and restricted areas you actually have to parkour into: I found a mall earlier in my playthrough, and I actually had to parkour onto the roof of the mall to make it to the inside, and that's just another additional, restricted area, kind of like a stronghold.

There were a lot of really hard enemies in there, and it was really cool to see a new area of the map that I previously couldn't get into all right. So we've been in the DMZ for a little bit, we've done a mission or two, we've looted a bit, we have some stuff in our inventory, we have cash, and we have things that we're comfortable leaving with, like different types of weapons. Different types of keys as well as maybe a weapon inside of our weapon inventory slot, which you can find in medium or large backpacks, allow you to actually stow an entire weapon inside of your backpack.

Extraction guide

Extraction guide

At this point, it's time to extract. It's time to leave with some stuff. You can and cannot leave with certain things if you extract them with an item that has a numerical value to it, like, say, a hard drive or a USB.

And, since it's not tied to a mission, you will not get any additional XP for leaving with that item. You will just have that extra mission kind of progression put in, but any item that you could sell at the buy station for money counts for nothing if it only turns into money; it's useless. Do not extract with that extractive, and do not extract with Stronghold.

Keys Just a little warning, a lot of people might be confused about stronghold key cards: you cannot leave the stronghold key card; the same thing with any item that is basically glowing yellow. I think in the menu if I remember correctly, or green; those are all things that you cannot leave with and you can only keep if it's on your person and not in your inventory.

So, for example, let's say you have a gas mask in my backpack as well as on my person. Sure, the better gas mask is equipped on your person when you leave because you cannot leave with an additional gas mask and use that gas mask later. It's only what is on your person, not the things that are in your backpack, so basically TL;DR.

The only things you can leave the DMZ with that are actually worth something are weapons. keys, armor, and bigger backpacks. However, you need to have the armor and the bigger backpack equipped. It's the same policy as self-revives or anything else: if you have it in your inventory, you can't use it in the future unfortunately, so that means if you collect a large backpack while you already have a large backpack and it's in your large backpack, you can't use a second large backpack later on.

dmz how to extract

I just used the word "backpack" a lot, but hopefully you get the idea. So yeah, at this point, you're just going to need to get all of your teammates onto the helicopter. It's going to have a 30 second countdown, but the second all three teammates get on the helicopter, it's a five second countdown, and then it flies away, and if radiation is starting to spread, the actual plane will have free gas masks for your teammates to wear just in case while you're flying away.

Gas or not, the radiation does damage to you. It'll have some complementary gas masks on board, and after about 15 to 20 to 30 seconds of flying, you will be extracted from the DMZ, and you'll get your little breakdown on all of the XP and the items that you earn throughout your adventures, and then you can rinse and repeat and do it all over again.

Anyway, guys, that was the basic idea of the DMZ. Hopefully, this article helped you out. DMZ is a ton of fun, and I'm liking it a lot more than Battle Royale right now. I think a lot of people are going to start gravitating towards this, and I really hope they continue to expand on this awesome mode.
