Welcome back, everyone, to another War Zone 2 article. This article is very special because, for the first time in a long time, I think you have a reason to be optimistic about the future of War Zone 2. Now we've seen some massive changes in the game, but I think we've seen some more important changes in the game more specifically with the development team, and frankly.
I think someone got fired, someone got replaced, or the reigns got handed over because there have been some key changes that will just light up your heart and actually make you optimistic for the future of War Zone 2, and we're going to be talking about all of them today. One thing I do want to shout out though is that this is the last day you get 10 off.
Your, creator design, so if you want to pick up your Iceman Isaac scuff controller, you got the paddles on the back so you can jump, be hop, and move around the map faster; dolphin dive; the single fire digital tap trigger; or just the beautiful design. The thing, Frances, just pops, man. 10 Okay, this is the biggest sale of the year.
They don't offer the 10 sale very often, and this is the last day to do it. These are the two newest designs, the Series X and the PS5. These were designed in coordination with Corsair, and let me tell you, across the board, whether it's stick drift reliability or even just shipping and delivery times, it's outstanding.
a whole new breed of scuffling with the Corsair involvement, and I'm super proud to be partnered with them. 10 off Today is the last day, but what we want to talk about is some changes that are happening across the game, because don't get me wrong. This has been an abysmal launch, okay, whether it's been from launch or, more importantly, the season 1.5 reloaded update, which was just a kick in the you know, insulting for us to have this litany of problems, but we spent God knows how many development hours on the most budget.
The worst Rocket League experience I've ever seen, where you couldn't jump, couldn't pick up boost around the map, couldn't fly your car, and couldn't even go up the walls and wall rides like it, was a bad look for us to be in. We're still having issues with AI being incredibly powerful, strongholds or weapons not being balanced, and developer errors, not to mention audio.
Rants aside, let me talk about some things that are happening in the game that I think are going to make you a lot more optimistic about the future of the war zone. So what we're first going to go through is we're going to go through some of these changes. Okay, we're going to go through the patch notes, and then we're going to go through some of the more juicy stuff of what I think is happening behind the scenes and why you should be excited.
You'll be able to get your gun, you know, in the early stages of the game a lot earlier, so I think that's a great tip for the game because a lot of people just like playing with their loadouts. I kind of liked when people had to play with a ground loadout gun, you know, something that actually had recoil.
Okay, let's move on to some other things that are happening, but I want you to notice this okay look. At how frequent these tweets are coming out, and, more importantly, look who's tweeting them out—it's Raven Software. There was a one-third chance, and now there is roughly a one-sixth chance of that happening within the game.
They've also fixed an issue that caused cosplayers to unintentionally lose a small amount of cash when equipping a loadout. We talked about that in a previous tip and article. Another one we got from Raven software is "the heavy chopper has been disabled, in a battle royale while we investigate options to balance this vehicle for the late game." So we may see something like we saw in War Zone One, where they made it so all air vehicles get disabled, or maybe their health goes down, or maybe their fuel consumption is increased in the game.
There are a lot of things that they could do to balance it, but this is what we need to see. This is like, for example, what did Infinity Ward do whenever we had the game and bomb drones would cause Devor? Do you guys remember how much trouble bomb drones and recon drones would cause Devor? Or you'd get locked in a wall?

Raven software now seems to be back in charge and is removing things until they are fixed, kind of like Fortnite would vault something, and it's just so nice to see once again.
December 16th at 2: 30 December 16th, at 8:30 There was another one that they were tweeting out at, like, 2 a.m. or something; they were burning the midnight oil. Raven, the software is back in charge, and a change has been implemented that has caused combatant difficulty to be increased across the DMZ, which was only intended for one specific area.
There were people walking around in like riot gear across strongholds; they went ahead and they jumped in, and they fixed that as well, and then this was a big one. Okay, the number of buy stations has been doubled across. The buy stations are now randomized, and the number of them has been doubled.
It seems a little bit weird in the game right now where buy stations are doubled, but all the buy stations are right next to each other, so you're seeing like clumps of two buy stations across the map, but it doesn't matter at least that it's doubled the amount, and they'll probably start to refine that.
They also made it so the loadout drop happens in the second circle instead of the third circle, so now we're getting more loadout drops across the map, which is another incredible change. Then this one, you know, Infinity War, tweeted out that they had deployed a fix overnight that drastically decreased the number of crashes across all platforms.
I'll say personally: I had to go through and change a lot of settings, and prior to the mid-season update, I wasn't crashing at all. I maybe crashed once a day, which is still horrible for AAA games, let's be honest, but now that this mid-season update has hit, I am crashing more than ever. It was ridiculous.
So I'm going to have to go through and see if I can find some things that make my settings more stable, and if I do find that. I'll release it to you, but they are pushing people to be in the next Call of Duty for PC, and they're giving out some specific, you know, instructions to help stability on PC.
