News - How To Download Warzone 2 On Xbox

In today's article, we're going to be showing you how you can download and play Warzone 2.0 on Xbox, so this works on any Xbox console, including the Xbox One. Xbox One S Xbox One X. Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X are all literally the exact same, and there's no difference between any of them; they all have the exact same process for this, so there are two options here, two methods to do this, so you have the option here.

If you have not purchased Modern Warfare 2, then you have the option. If you have purchased Modern Warfare 2, because it's a little bit different, the process changes here, so just know that Warzone 2.0 is a free game and Modern Warfare 2 is a paid game, so Modern Warfare 2 is 70 dollars and Zone 2 is free, so if you want to just play Warzone 2, you do not need to buy anything.

I have a lot of people with War Zone 1; they're constantly saying that the game would constantly tell them to buy the game; they had to buy Modern Warfare; you don't need to buy the game; you don't need to buy it at all in order to play Warzone 2. Modern Warfare 2 includes a campaign, a multiplayer mode, and a co-op mode.

War Zone 2 also includes the Battle Royale, so just keep that in mind. You do not need to purchase anything there; there is a separate free option here. First up, let's go over if you have purchased Modern Warfare 2. We're assuming here that you have it installed on your Xbox, so I have a tutorial already on my channel if you want to know how to download and how to play Modern Warfare 2 on your Xbox, but if you already have it installed, the way you play Warzone 2 is a little bit different here.

So it'll show you that you have the base game, and I currently have the campaign co-op multiplayer, but you're going to want to make sure that you have War Zone 2 selected; it's only six gigabytes. On your system, if you just want to play Warzone 2.0, literally all you technically need is the base game as well as this Warzone 2 pack.

You don't need multiplayer; you could take off co-op and the campaign. If you wanted to save yourself some storage space on your Xbox, you could unselect this and that, and there we go. That would remove 45 gigabytes from our system free of 45 gigabytes, and we could use that for other games and whatever else we want, so you're going to want to make sure that you have the base game and the Warzone 2 pack installed.

As well, you're also going to need to make sure you have the latest update for the game, so the way you can check that is by coming in here into the same Manage Modern Warfare 2 and clicking on updates, and then in here it'll say: "Here is where you'll see available updates for games and apps on this console." Currently, we are at the newest version of Modern Warfare 2, so there is no need to update.

Just know that if you're a current owner of Modern Warfare 2 and it's still not letting you play War Zone 2, you will need to make sure that you have the latest updates. Make sure you have the Season One update, and once you have that Season One update, you're able to play. If you're watching this article at a later date, then you should already have Warzone 2 installed through the latest game settings update, and then all you need to do is make sure you have that Warzone 2 pack installed on your Xbox as well.

But right here, it's telling me that the version of this game currently is 1.0.10.0, so as long as you have that version, or a number greater than that, then you'll be good, and that means that you will have Warzone 2.0 installed. Make sure you guys have the latest update. You have the Season One update, and that will allow you to play, so that is how you do it if you currently own Modern Warfare 2.

That's how you log in and play Warzone 2. If you already have the game, make sure you have an update as well as the Warzone 2 pack now. Let's go ahead and show you guys how you can play and download Warzone 2.0. If you do not have Modern Warfare 2, let's say you're starting from scratch, so from here all you need to do is press Y and then you're going to search up war zone two, so I had to search up the full thing; I had to literally type out the whole thing, "Warzone 2," and it did show up right here for me, but you might need to type out "Warzone" and then put in "2.0" for it to show up currently, it's more popular, but previously, it did not show up there, so I had to go and click on "show all," and it finally show up, so I had to click on this Call of Duty warzone 2.

And then, of course, you can just log in, and you'll be able to just hop in and play War Zone 2 with no issue. It's a little bit complicated this year with the difference between owning Modern Warfare 2 already and not. Hopefully in time this will be sorted out a little bit, so it is interesting to know too that it all takes place within the same launcher; they're not two separate games.

It's kind of overshadowing Modern Warfare too, so it is a little bit, you know, bad in my opinion; they're including it here within the same game, which says kind of kind of suffer from the same issues we had with Modern Warfare 2019.
