In this article, we're taking a look at the MX-9. There are so many weapons in Model 2 that are actually effective that the MX-9 kind of slips under the radar.

I'm getting shot up by somebody, holy shit off the daddy, and this thing actually has a pretty good range too, a lot better range than I thought it would have.

To be honest with you, I thought this gun was actually going to be kind of difficult to use, especially at range, but imagine my surprise. There are still a lot of kills to be had. I have like a badass combo, like, whatever shot from behind is trying to cross, there's a guy in the corner there; let's try to cross over.

I mean, I'm about to just drop this nuke man, and our teammates are not too much; I mean, I really wasn't playing the object at all. It's the MX-9, not bad; it really is not bad at all.

All right, let's go ahead and take a look at the MX-9, one of the most underrated and also forgotten weapons here in Modern Warfare 2. Now for the first attachment, we're going to skip over the rear grip; these are not going to help us out in the slightest.

We're going to jump right over to the comb, and we're going to rock the F-TAC C11 riser to increase that sprint to fire speed as well as aim down sight speed. This is going to be an SMG/AR hybrid, so we definitely want to go ahead and bump up that close-range handling here. For the tuning, we are going to increase the aim-down sight speed to negative Point 17, and we're also going to bump up the recoil stabilization to plus Point 27.

Remember, this is going to be an SMG/AR hybrid, and we want to have as little recoil as possible. We're not running a stock because these attachments are not helping us out either. We're going to jump right over to the optic, and we're going to run the Cronin Mini. Pro in order to have a clean optic picture, and that perfect blue dot again can help us out because we are running this weapon at longer ranges, so for the tuning, we are going to increase just the aim down sight speed slightly, to negative 0.97, and because it's a red dot sight or a blue dot sight, we're going to leave the eye position alone, and we're skipping over the laser because this setup is built for longer ranges, it's not going to be anywhere near as helpful as, let's say, a barrel, which we are going to the 16.5 Bruin S901 barrel, to bump up that damage range, hip fire accuracy, movement speed, and bullet velocity, you're going to love this barrel on the mx-9.

It's not going to reduce the movement speed so we can run around the map and also take people out at longer ranges when we need to. For the tuning, we are going to increase the aim down sight speed very, very slightly because it's actually going to cause some negative values if you move it too much (-0.06).

And we're going to bump up the recoil setting this to plus 0.39; again, we want this weapon to be very effective at those longer ranges, but again, we're still going to bump up the close range handling when we have the opportunity to do so. Now for the muzzle, we are going to rock this Zen Guard MK5, which is a great muzzle on the MX9 like the majority of weapons here in this game, allowing us that sound suppression bullet velocity damage range as well as added recoil smoothness, which is going to come greatly.

In handy now for the sound suppression, we can run around in their spawn double quick and easy streak and stay off the grid, and on top of that, we still have that launch capability here, so this is why this is going to be the best attachment under the muzzle category, and then finally for the tuning, we are going to bump up that bullet velocity to plus 0.84 and the recoil smoothness to plus 1.17.

Very easily command the setup, we are going to rock the combat knife, the sun grenade proximity mine, and for the custom perk pack, which we have a double-time scavenger resupply, luckily the reload is fast as well as quick fix and far filled up, which we have Pro enabled with Munitions Box as well as Dead Silence, make sure you go ahead and give the mx9 a try.

People don't run this SMG, but honestly, I think it's pretty good.
